This late Victorian silverplated set is marked with the design number 1938. The gorgeous design features bold florals in deep relief and reeded curved handles. The creamer has a parcel gilt interior, the sugar has no gold wash on the interior. Both pieces stand 5 1/8” 13 cm) tall at the handles. This pair has no monogram or inscription. These two are in very good condition. With no dents, breaks, or repairs. Both pieces have minor wear on the outer top rim, lower edge, handles, and on the high-point edges of the busy design. The interior of the sugar bowl has lots of utensil scratches and tiny gouges. The interior of the cream jug has fewer scratches, but it ... moredoes have a few tiny pits. Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. Antique Vintage Derby Silver Plate Company Creamer and Sugar Bowl
A Derby Silver Plate Company Creamer and Sugar Bowl. Each piece is marked Derby Silver Plate Co in a circle surrounding a crown and anchor. The numbers 1111 are etched below the mark. The pieces each measure 2 3/8" in height and have a grape pattern. CONDITION: Nice. Obviously tarnished. And the handles show some wear. A few rough spots along the rims and some fleabite nicks along the bottom edge. I didn't want to clean or remove the tarnish, so both pieces will need cleaning. I purchase all of my items at auctions so cannot be sure of their history or whether they've come from smoke-free or pet-free homes. I do my best to list any damage or use. But I'm not an expert. The New Amsterdam Silver Co. was founded in the late 1800s and in 1904, it was renamed as Knickerbocker Silver Co. This is a fine example set for the silver plate collector. Both pieces are clearly marked underneath and numbered'605' Each piece is monogrammed with what looks like the letter'O' I can't tell for sure. The sugar measures 3.25" high(to top of handle) and 3" across the mouth. The creamer is 3.25" high and 3" across the mouth. Condition is fair to good- both pieces have issues and each has dents(please see photos) also the creamer has plate loss on the interior, hence the low price. This silverplate creamer with saucer came from an auction in Vermont. It is a beautifully ornate set. The bottom of each piece is marked Forbes Silver Co. 21 1 Quadruple. The pin has been replaced in the lid hinge. It needs to be cleaned. There are some scratches and wear marks. T he lid has marks on it that may or may not come off with cleaning. The creamer measures 4 3/4" tall and 5" from the handle to the tip of the spout. The saucer measures 5 7/8" in diameter.

This listing is for an antique Van Bergh quadruple plate creamer. Sugar, butter& waste bowl. The pieces(excluding the butter tray and cover) are marked: Pat'd May 10 1898 The Van Bergh S P Co Rochester, NY Quadruple Plate ~ they are also numbered 468 on the bottom. The creamer is 3 1/4" to the rim and 6" handle to spout. The waste bowl is 3 1/4" to the rim and 7" handle to handle. The covered sugar bowl is 5.50" to the top of the finial, 3.25" to the rim and about 7.25" from handle to handle. All of the handles are secure and they all have a nice etched floral design. The round butter cover is not marked as well as the 5.5" diameter tray. There are dings and dents throughout and they all could use a light polishing. This creamer and covered sugar bowl are decorated with gadroon borders and have Acanthus leaves on the top of each handle. This pair was never engraved with a monogram. The creamer stands: 5 3/8" tall the Sugar with the lid stands 5 3/4" tall. I do not see any scratches or dents. It is Quadruple silver plate and has a leaf pattern hammered into both sides. At the very top there is also hammered a floral pattern. This has been worn down a bit with age and is not as clear as the main body scene. These both have fabulous handles with great large curves. This is a fabulous set from the Aesthetic movement. These pieces are in great condition with no dings or dents on the outside. They have a few very light surface marks from age and use. The inside of both pieces do have some larger wear marks but they do not take away from either piece. This is a great set and will add elegance to any tea or coffee setting! This is an elegant antique silverplate sugar and creamer set. The bottom of the pieces reads: Dowd Rodgers Co. Wallingford. CT; Quadruple Plate; 1454" The bottom of the pieces also has the letter D enclosed by a circle. Both pieces are clean and in excellent condition. This is an antique creamer and sugar bowl set from the Woodman Cook Co. Portland, Maine. The set is#1261 and is done in quadruple silver plate. Although I'm not certain, I believe these are early 20th century pieces. Both pieces are 4" tall and feature raised"beading" The sugar bowl is about 6 1/2" from handle to handle. Please see the pics for the hallmark on the bottom of both pieces and for details on the condition. There are only minor marks on the pieces that do not affect their attractiveness. AESTHETIC Silver Plate Creamer & Sugar Bowl, Victorian, Antique Spooner or Vase
Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate Ornate 19th Century Silver Plate. Large and ornate late Victorian creamer and sugar bowl in the Aesthetic Movement style. This pair was made by The Meriden Britannia Co. of Meriden. Connecticut and date from the 1870’s-1890’s. They are style number 1919 which features repousse foliate decorations in a diagonal banner across the sides of each piece. These two have no monograms or inscriptions and their interiors are parcel gilt. The sugar bowl may have had a lid originally but it does not have one now. Measured at the handles. The sugar stands 7 1/8” 18 cm) tall, and the cream pitcher is 7 3/8” 18.8 cm) tall. Condition: This pair is in fair condition. As it has quite a bit of wear to the silver layer. There are no breaks or repairs and the only dent we found was on the top rim on one side of the creamer(see ... morephoto) Both pieces have many surface scratches. The gilt inner surfaces have worn some over the years and the gold is now paler than it was originally. The interior of the sugar bowl has pitting as one would expect to find on a piece that was used as a planter at one time. This gorgeous open sugar bowl could certainly be put to use as a spooner or a vase, as the inner condition would not be an issue. As with all of our auctions. EMPIRE CRAFTS Quardruple Plate Silver plate Creamer and Sugar Service Set This listing is for a set of creamer and sugar manufactured by silversmiths Empire Crafts. In production in Newark, NJ from the 1930s- 1950s; later to become part of Oneida silversmiths. These two pieces are in great condition. We have not nearly attempted to polish them up for this listing, since we like to keep our listed items as they are in the event the new owners wish them to stay that way. There are a couple spots of tarnish on the inside of each piece but we are certain they will clean up nicely. The sugar is double-handled and measures 4-3/8" from handle to handle. 2-1/4" across the opening, and 2-1/2" tall. The creamer measures 3-1/2" from handle to spout, 2-1/8" across the opening, and is also 2-1/2" tall. They each hold approximately ... more3/4 of one cup- or approximately 6 fluid ounces. Antique Reed and Barton silver plate 2629 lion figural creamer dated 1878
This is a really interesting Reed and Barton silver plate creamer. Pattern 2629, with a lion figural on the lid. This stands 8 inches from the bottom of the feet to the top of the lion's head. This piece has really intricate designs all over it- flowers, leaves, patterns. The feet are especially interesting with what looks like a daisy in the middle and lilies at the top. The handle has a ship where your thumb would go, and at the bottom of the handle is an arrow. The top is hinged, and works fine. The only wear issues are a very tiny ding on the side, and the front lip of the lid has a small bit of clearance and doesn't close completely. It doesn't seem bent, but just off a fuzz. Gorgeous mid to late 1800's Meriden Quadruple plated sugar bowl and creamer set. Beautiful etched flowers adorn both pieces. No Monograms! The pictures do not do this set justice. The only flaw that I can see is a tiny dent on the lid of the sugar bowl. Other than that these are in perfect condition. Very clean on the inside of both pieces. Great for a rustic primitive collection or just to add some authenticity to a fine china shelf or cupboard. Creamer made by International Silver co. Silver Soldered, 05002, 8 oz, bottom has a hallmark and the# 6. Creamer or small teapot has missing handle. Made by GMCO(Gorham, I believe) shield with anchor, spoon, odwy, 8 oz. This sounds crazy but, above the hallmark there are some long words that I think were polished out on purpose. The first is a long word that looks like it starts with pro and ends with an e or f. no idea! The smallest plate is Brewster pewter. Looks like#4538 ... moreand it is approximately 4 1/2" across. The larger plate looks like it has np on the back and is approximately 5" across. I will package and ship out quickly. Interesting pieces. Antique Gorham Silver Plate Creamer, Century Association, 1868
A wonderful antique piece. This creamer. Though small, has some interesting history. It has the Gorham Rooster mark dating it back to 1868 and the anchor which tells you it is silver plate. It also is stamped'Century Association' which is a private club out of NY City. The Century Association originally wanted only 100 men as it's members, however after time, it grew to many hundred and in 1989 it allowed it's first women, even though it was by court order. Under the Gorham mark it has the number 06410. Silver s and 3/16 pints. It has some dings and around the bottom edge some of the plating has worn away. A pretty rope pattern adorns the top and it is very well constructed. This has more value as a collector piece than for the silver content, but what a find! ANTIQUE ROYAL MFG TRIPLE SILVER PLATE SUGAR AND CREAMER WARRANTED 1890's
Pretty antique sugar and creamer made by Royal Mfg Co sometime around the late 1890's. When this set found it's way to me it was pitch black! But. After about an hour of hard work they came out to this beautiful deep rich gray color. I do not think they will lighten any further. The handles remained dark.
