This auction is for Antique SILVER Plate SUGAR CASTOR. The sugar castor was produced Circa 1900 by William Hutton from Sheffield England. The shaker weight is approximately 136.4 grams and stands 5 5/8 inches in height and measures over 2 5/8 inches across the bottom. The shaker is in good used condition with no Monograms or note worth damage and silver plate is in very good condition with no signs of silver wear through. The bottom is marked WH& S EP Made in Sheffield England 35025 with the Creswick crossed arrow mark. William Hutton was absorbed by James Dixon in 1930. Please see my! Antique Dixon and Son Sheffield Creamer Dixon was a Sheffield. England silversmith from the 1830’s to 1892. In 1836 Dixon and Son was created when his first son joined him in the business. A few years later his second son joined him and the company became Dixon and Sons. This hallmark indicates an early piece. It is silver plate. Up for auction is an antique Sheffield Plate sugar bowl and spoon holder. 9 inches tall. 6 inches diameter at the widest part of the bowl. The top lifts off. The finial is a bird, looks like a hummingbird. There are 12 spaces for spoons to rest on the sides. There is a band of impressed leaves all around the bowl. A handle on each side. This is made without any screws, a solid piece. It is marked Sheffield plate 58 on the bottom. Has some tarnish remaining. A beautiful piece in great condition. Not sure of the exact age. ENGLAND. These classic pieces have gadrooned edges and feathered upturned handles. Both pieces are 4” tall to the top of the handles. With the sugar 7 ¾“ handle-to-handle and 3 1/2” front-to-back while the 12 ounces capacity creamer is 5 34” front-to-back and 3” front-to-back. These are in excellent used condition with no dents but do obviously have a fair amount of blush showing through at some of the fluted areas. This is a antique silver plated helmet shaped sugar scuttle& scoop in excellent condition. This is a good quality. Heavy piece of Victorian silver plate with attractive engraved decoration, a shaped handle at the top and the scoop in the holder at the back exactly as if it was a helmet coal scuttle, but in miniature. The plating is in excellent condition and bottom is marked with the Sheffield maker's mark for the Cooper Brothers. The scoop comes out of its holder at the back to serve the sugar. Whether it is original to the sugar bowl is unknown, but it is included. This Sugar bowl is 5 3/4" tall and the bowl diameter is 3 1/4" It has not been cleaned, There is a Loop on the back, that probably holds the spoon or Tongs. Sugar bowl is roughly 5" in length(front to back) 3.5" wide and over 5" tall. Weighs just over 10 ounces with scooper. Antique James Dixon& Sons. Sheffield England, silverplate sugar bowl& creamer. These two pieces are a matching set each with the corresponding pattern number of 51902 and both marked James Dixon& Sons, Sheffield, EPBM, and a monogram of what looks to be an E and R overlapping. The creamer measures 5 1/8" tall to the top of the finial on the handle and 4 3/4" wide from the spout out to the handle. It is marked with an"A" and"1/2" on the bottom. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/4" tall to the top of the finial on the handles and 7 1/4" from handle to handle. Together they weigh 1 lb 8.4 oz. Both are in very good antique condition considering they have an age range of 179(1835) years old to 94(1920) years old. There is a tiny indentation in the front of the creamer that is small enough that really ... moremust look and feel for it. The handle at the top has also came loose from the main body of the creamer and could be soldered back. Both pieces would need to be clean and polished. Still really beautiful collectible pieces.
