Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. Antique Vtg Meriden Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Sugar Bowl w Lid Monogram 2003
This silverplate Meriden B Co. sugar bowl came from an auction in Vermont. It is marked with the number 2003 on the bottom along with the Meriden mark. Made in USA. Someone has also scratched their initials on the bottom next to the Meriden mark. It weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. It measures 5" tall with the lid on and 7 1/2" from handle to handle. There are some wears marks and some rough spots, please see all pictures, still a nice piece, pretty design on the top rim and on handles. Thanks for looking.

The New Amsterdam Silver Co. was founded in the late 1800s and in 1904, it was renamed as Knickerbocker Silver Co. This is a fine example set for the silver plate collector. Both pieces are clearly marked underneath and numbered'605' Each piece is monogrammed with what looks like the letter'O' I can't tell for sure. The sugar measures 3.25" high(to top of handle) and 3" across the mouth. The creamer is 3.25" high and 3" across the mouth. You are bidding on an antique Aesthetic Era Quadruple Silverplate Cup or Waste Bowl made by Meriden Brittania Company. At first I thought this was a cup. But after further research, I found that it could also be considered a waste bowl. The cup/waste bowl has a satin finish with a lovely bright-cut engraving of a vine bearing leaves and berries encircling the cup. The interior of the cup/waste bowl has a gold wash. Contrasting beautifully with the silver plate. The bottom bears a Scale within a Circle mark and reads. Meriden B Co. Another circle reads, Quadruple Plate" above the number"026. The Meriden Brittania Co. produced beautiful silverplate objects during the Aesthetic Era. Naturalistic themes were popular during this time which ran from the mid-1800's until early 1900. Antique silver plate from this era was most commonly ... moremarked"Quadruple Plate" denoting that 4 layers of silver plate were used on the piece. The term"Quadruple Plate" was rarely used after 1900. The cup/waste bowl bears normal and expected surface marks from age and use. Especially on the interior, along with a couple of small scratches. There is also some light loss of plating in spots. The bottom of the piece does bear some scratches and surface marks from use. The cup/waste bowl measures 2 3/4" in height and 3 1/2" across the mouth. This is a very nice antique Quadruple Silverplate Cup/Waste Bowl from the Meriden Brittania Co. It is Quadruple silver plate and has a leaf pattern hammered into both sides. At the very top there is also hammered a floral pattern. This has been worn down a bit with age and is not as clear as the main body scene. These both have fabulous handles with great large curves. This is a fabulous set from the Aesthetic movement. These pieces are in great condition with no dings or dents on the outside. They have a few very light surface marks from age and use. The inside of both pieces do have some larger wear marks but they do not take away from either piece. This is a great set and will add elegance to any tea or coffee setting! This is an elegant antique silverplate sugar and creamer set. The bottom of the pieces reads: Dowd Rodgers Co. Wallingford. CT; Quadruple Plate; 1454" The bottom of the pieces also has the letter D enclosed by a circle. Both pieces are clean and in excellent condition. They belonged to my grandmother; since then we have kept them carefully wrapped and stored unused for over 50 years. The sugar bowl is approximately 4" high. The creamer is approximately 3-3/4" high at its highest point. Both pieces have beautiful detailing around their top edges and graceful elegant etched designs on their bowls.

Antique Woodman Cook #1261 Creamer & Sugar Bowl Quadruple Silver Plate MAINE
This is an antique creamer and sugar bowl set from the Woodman Cook Co. Portland, Maine. The set is#1261 and is done in quadruple silver plate. Although I'm not certain, I believe these are early 20th century pieces. Both pieces are 4" tall and feature raised"beading" The sugar bowl is about 6 1/2" from handle to handle. Please see the pics for the hallmark on the bottom of both pieces and for details on the condition. There are only minor marks on the pieces that do not affect their attractiveness. There's no plate loss but there is some use wear on the inside. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I sell a wide range of mostly older and used items but I'm not an expert. In production in Newark, NJ from the 1930s- 1950s; later to become part of Oneida silversmiths. These two pieces are in great condition. We have not nearly attempted to polish them up for this listing, since we like to keep our listed items as they are in the event the new owners wish them to stay that way. There are a couple spots of tarnish on the inside of each piece but we are certain they will clean up nicely. The sugar is double-handled and measures 4-3/8" from handle to handle. 2-1/4" across the opening, and 2-1/2" tall. Gorgeous mid to late 1800's Meriden Quadruple plated sugar bowl and creamer set. Beautiful etched flowers adorn both pieces. No Monograms! The pictures do not do this set justice. The only flaw that I can see is a tiny dent on the lid of the sugar bowl. Other than that these are in perfect condition. Very clean on the inside of both pieces. These are generous in size and very substantial. Clearly marked on the bottom Meriden B Company Quadruple Plate and the pattern is 1800. I believe these are from the Aesthetic Era but I am not sure. This antique. Quadruple silverplate, matching sugar& cream pitcher has an etched leaf& floral design and scalloped rims. Both pieces are in very good condition. Lyon Silver Company Pattern No. 1002. The creamer nests on top of the sugar and that is the reason that the cream pitcher is slightly smaller than the sugar so that it balances beautifully and makes the pair unique. This feature saves space on a serving tray and when storing. A lovely wedding present for the right couple. Sizes: Sugar 4 1/4" high. Creamer 3/12" high. Total weight of two pieces is 1 1/2 pounds.

Lovely outer surface condition; minimal surface scratches or marks; silverplate is worn in spots. Inside surface is rougher, but I believe was that way from time of manufacture. Has been only minimally polished. Despite how it may appear in photos. Surface currently has an antique satin sheen/patina, not a high silver polish. Hollow handles. Lovely engraved/hammered design and ornamentation. Measures about 3-1/4"3-1/2" tall. About 7" from outer handle edge to edge, about 2-1/2" diameter opening, base is 2-3/4" in diameter.
