Meriden B. Company Quadruple Silver Plate Ornate Creamer - Antique
I found this antique creamer/hot milk pitcher and to be honest. I don't know much about it other than it is OLD according to the bottom stamp. Meriden B. Company is a well-respected name in the silver plating industry and it is a sought after name that collectors seek. The floral pattern is very ornate and is seen around the bottom; the handle and on top of the lid. I have not polished it but it appears to have more of a pewter type coloring as opposed to a bright white silver color. The lid has a couple slight dents which causes the top point to tilt a bit to the back. The inside is scratched as you can see in the pictures which is why I think it may have been used for hot milk or syrup. Stamp: Meriden B. The height is about 5.75 in. and from widest point on handle to spout about 5 in. wide. I found some information about Dufva: Axel Gabriel Dufva enterprise. One of the oldest silver-plate factories in Europe. The creamer and sugar bowl are ornately designed with a floral repousse pattern. The tray measures approximately 8" tall from the bottom of the footed vase to the top of the handle. The base of the tray measures approximately 7 1/16" long. 4 3/16" wide at its widest, and 2 1/16" wide at its most narrow area. The creamers measures approximately 2" tall, 4 9/16" long(from handle to front edge) and 2 1/16" wide. The sugar bowl measures approximately 2 7/8" tall, 4 5/16" long, and 2 11/16" wide. The metal on the tray is nicely formed to allow the handle of the creamer to fit perfectly into the ... moretray. The bottom of the tray is marked"EPNS, A& C G, 287, and"90. The EPNS stands for"electroplated nickle silver, but we are unable to identify which company marked their pieces"A& C G. Overall, this is a beautiful item that serves a practical purpose! Condition: This item is not monogrammed. The tray and bottom of the sugar bowl and creamer show normal signs of minor surface scratching. This silverplate Meriden B Co. sugar bowl came from an auction in Vermont. It is marked with the number 2003 on the bottom along with the Meriden mark. Made in USA. Someone has also scratched their initials on the bottom next to the Meriden mark. It weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. It measures 5" tall with the lid on and 7 1/2" from handle to handle. There are some wears marks and some rough spots, please see all pictures, still a nice piece, pretty design on the top rim and on handles.

It is part of a set of 2 coffee/tea pots that I am listing. I am separating the set in the case of someone not wanting the 3 pc. set. Both listings are lovely standing alone or they both can be purchased! The pieces do have some wear and some pitting but noting that detracts. Just adds more charm! Ornate Antique Van Bergh S.P. Co. Quadruple Plated Creamer & Sugar Bowl #25
This ornate set of antique quadruple silver plated sugar bowl and creamer was made by the Van Bergh Silver Plate Company. Rochester, NY, somewhere between 1892-1926. Both of them have the company mark and the#25 stamped in their bottom. They are heavily tarnished but they do not have any kind of damage out of some scratches from too strong scrubbing on the bottom. The sugar bowl is approx. 6" high with the lid and 6 1/2" wide with the handles and the creamer is 3 3/4" high and approx 5" wide with the handle. The good quality quadruple plating make them feel heavier, stronger and smoother to the touch. They can be very nice, decorative pieces in a collection or as a display items in a home. Antique/vintage 3-footed English silverplate creamer. Manufactured by Mappin& Webb. Beautiful, ornate design features a beaded edge, swirled handle and a shell-type top to each foot. Could use a bit more polishing, but is otherwise in good condition(has some minor pit marks on the bottom of the inside) Measures 5.75" wide x 3" deep x 3-5/8" high. Antique Hand Chased Silver on Copper Sugar Bowl and Creamer. Sugar bowl measures 8X5 inches. Creamer measures 7X3.5 inches. This is such an ornate work of silver art. I have not found a mark of silver on this however it does not say silver plate. Research appears that most of this style was"Sheffield" and it was silver over copper There is a nice smooth silver area on the front of each piece for monograms however these are not monogrammed and ready for your own initials! The top has small figs and leaves. These are extremely interesting pieces and I obtained them from a very upscale home. Four Silversmith marks on bottom of each piece.

Hello. I am offering this ornate sugar& creamer. They are approx. 6 1/4" high with raised florals on both sides very decorative. They are monogramed possibly MRH as per photo. The base is marked Made and Plated By The meriden Plate Co. though for some reason it been scratched out on both? There is also a silver test mark on the creamer all as per photos. The creamer stands61/2" tall. The sugar stands over 8" tall and 7 1/2" wide handle to handle. Very extravagant Victorian design. Most of the silver plating is worn off. The glass insert in the creamer is Tree Of Life pattern. The glass insert in the sugar is a different pattern. Both glass inserts are in good condition. The base of the creamer has a slight dent. This is a stunningly large ornate set of antique late 19th century sterling over copper sugar and creamer. they have an abundance of very intricate floral detailing done in very high relief. the detailing is all hand done. Hammered, and engraved. if you look closely it is much more detailed and is quite eye-catching. the pot has a hand carved wooden handle and wooden finial they are held with silver mounts. the pieces are nicely footed with 4 ball feet and both signed on the bottom by maker"S.P.C. with maker mark the top opens and closes on a hinge by the wooden handle and has a great spout on the opposite side. the sugar bowl has a dual stylized handle and ribbed trim at the top. they are in nice shape with a shiny silver finish. they both have copper shining through at some raised spots but gives it a wonderful look. the pot measures ... more10 1/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall and the sugar bowl measures 7 inches long by 4 1/2 inches tall. the wooden handle has two hailing cracks that are very hard to see. LOT Old Ornate Antique Scrollwork Silverplate Creamer Double Handle Sugar Lid
Lot of two silverplate items: a double handled footed sugar bowl and a matching footed creamer– I can find no hallmark on either piece. But these are antique items from a larger estate collection. The footed creamer stands 5” tall and is 5.5” wide from spout lip to handle. With a wide curved spout and intricate bands of flowers and scrolling around the top edge. There is a very small eraser sized dent(shown) on the bottom between the two front legs, but it is not noticeable unless you pick up the pitcher and turn it upside down. This item has surface tarnish, but no pitting. The footed sugar server is 7.5” from handle to handle and 7.5” tall, with a double handle design, with the same band of flowers and scrollwork around the rim, it has the original fluted lid with a dainty scrollwork finial. This item has a very small(pinprick sized) dent ... moreon the bottom(shown) again not noticeable unless you pick it up and flip it over. The handles and 1” tall feet on both of these pieces are very ornate, with fluted detail, scrollwork and floral accents. In perfect condition except for those two small dents, there are no loose welds and no scratches that I can see. These are truly perfect items for small arrangements of porcelain flowers, or for old beaded millinery flowers– they make wonderful accent pieces for a boudoir and many times they are left in this unpolished state to lend their wonderful patina to French cottage, Paris apartment or shabby chic décors. These pieces are part of a larger collection of silverplate estate pieces that I currently have up for auction– all were rarely used and like those pieces, this set spent much of their lives stored away in an antique oak sideboard. I was able to narrow this Argentine pattern or style to around 1908. Through a newpaper page I located on the Internet(last photo) The only thing I can say is this company made ordinary kitchen pieces in a very decorative manner. This creamer and sugar bowl are decoratively footed with ornate handles. The rims are beaded. The interor is lined with gold. The newspaper page states"heavily silver plated and gold lined" I am assuming that means it is gold plated but I am not sure. The creamer measures a little less than 3 inches in height and 4 3/4 inches from handle to spout. The sugar bowl is almost 3 inches in height and 6 inches from handle to handle. It has a couple dents, and the handle has worked it's way off the bowl in one spot. There is wear on the finish, not sure how much will just rub off with some polish. Maybe you don't even want it off, some people don't. This stands about 7 1/2" high, and is about 5 1/2" in diameter. There is an etched leaf design on the front and back. Antique Silverplate. Ornate Footed Cream and Sugar circa 1850-1899 New Amsterdam
Up for sale is a victorian Cream and Sugar from the New Amsterdam Silver Company. The silver plating on these pieces is in excellent condition except for one side of the creamer where someone buffing went through the plate but the metal under is also silver in color so not that bad but take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself; the sugar has one small ding and there is also a picture of it. Please check my other auctions as I have a whole lot of Franciscan Apple this week as well as sterling silver lots. Remember that I am happy to combine lots to save you money on shipping.

Antique Sugar and Creamer Containters Colbalt Blue Glass in Ornate Holders Japan
Just guessing on this one. I have not been able to find out anything about the trademark on these absolutely awesome sugar and creamer containers. They look Baroque-esk. A bit Gothic-y. Each is heavy and the blue glass comes out. On the bottom of the glass it says"Japan" On the bottom of the silver holder it says"Made in Japan" with the mystery trademark of a bear with a T in the middle. It's in the pictures. I'm sure someone out there will know what this is to help me better identify it! The holders have a gold wash on them. They are not magnetic and neither are the screws that hold the handles in place. Which are possibly a bit newer? Not sure at all. These pieces have not been cleaned and are sold as is. There appears to be no visible damage, cracks or chips in the blue glass or on the silver holders. They cup ... moreon each measures just less than 3" in diameter. The handles each add about.75" on each side. They are 2.75" high. There is typical wear on the bottom of the holders, and typical patina, but all in all, two very nice condition pieces for your viewing and bidding pleasure! Posted with
