The Buddha measures 38 ¾ inches long. 11 ¼ inches at its highest point and is just less than 11 inches deep(98.5 by 28.5 by 28 cm) The sculpture is carved form one piece of wood. The wood carving features a reclined Buddha resting its head in its right hand. The statue of Buddha in a reclining position depicts Buddha in his last hours before his passing. This is that moment when Buddha is enters“Nirvana” Which is a state of enlightenment. The reclining Buddha signifies tranquility and absolute detachment from the desires of the world, a state obtained on the attainment of Nirvana. I purchased many hat blocks and accessories from an Estate. They had a hat shop many many years ago. I do not know the exact age of the blocks. But I believe many were from the 40's and older, from the information that came with this collection. The hat block is not marked. The hatblock measures approximately 7-1/8" x 5-7/8" and 6" high. The circumference is approximately 21" around. There are various holes that were used to turn the mold freely when creating the hat. It is in vintage condition with scratches. Of every angle and direction simichrome test positive the wood is a shiny rectangular shape. One mallet handle has been repaired do to pissed off player, handle was reglued with gorilla glue, clamped, very strong but will not guarantee that handle with T-off hit. Small chip of wood was also broke off bottom of cart and was glued as well seen in picture 10. Everything else is very nice. Will make a great 5 player set, may be able to find exact handle here on ebay with good research to make complete solid set. It is complete now but there's a weak spot. Nice size set as well, not to big and stores well. Cart with set in it Measures approx. 28 1/2" Tall x 14 1/2" wide x 6" thick. Sold as is as Found
