Early 1900s Wardrobe Steamer Trunk - Complete - Great Condition!
This is an amazing early 1900s wardrobe steamer trunk. The exterior is black. And interior is a nice floral pattern. Fabric inside the drawers still has the wonderful blue and green shades in tact! Drawer fronts, ironing board, and hanging fabric have each faded to a pleasant neutral toned scheme. Comes complete with ironing board, iron holder at bottom with strap, adjustable bar to keep clothing in place, 3 drawers with original tie down ribbons in tact, bottom deep drawer with leather strap on one side, locking drawer bar with working lock and key, 8 various types of hangers, and a box for extra storage at the bottom of the hanging side of wardrobe. This wardrobe trunk is original. And has some scuffing on the outside and signs of wear on the inside. Hanging fabric is ripped at the top, as you can see in photos. Also, the two heavy duty ... morelatches are in wonderful working condition, but the lock on the outside is broken. Neither of the leather side handles remain. It has two markings- I think one from the maker an one from the shop that sold it. They read: Virginia Trunk&Bag Co. Petersburg, Virginia, USA and Waldenberger Harness& Trunk Co. This old wardrobe steamer trunk is from the 1920's era. It no doubt carried clothing. Documents, and treasures for fellows like Gatsby himself or a passenger on the Titanic. An original nail file was found tucked away in one of its drawers waiting to be found by generations later. The 8 drawers are linen lined. And I think the briefcase is as well. Here we have an incredible hunter green wardrobe trunk made by the Dread-Naught Luggage Company of Petersberg. Virginia around the 1930's. The interior has been completely recovered in a stunning ivory/ cream satin fabric. It has a locking mechanism for the drawers in addition to the exterior lock and the keys are included for both. The exterior has the wear and tear you would expect for its age and the leather handle is worn and torn as well, all of which add to its antique character. The top latch is off, but we have it; someone who is handy could probably easily re-attach it. The lower latch and lock keep it securely closed without it. Set of 6 wooden hangers and 1 spacer from my antique wardrobe trunk The first picture shows the whole lot. The others are close ups of the 3 different sizes There are 2 of each size. Pic 2&3 measures: 19.5" wide x 8" top to bottom pic 4 spacer measures: 19.5" wide x 1.5" pic 5&6 measures: 19.5" wide x 8" top to bottom pic 7 measure 19.5" wide x 11" top to bottom Pic 8&9 shows one of the largest hanger(pic7) that has a little damage on each side That is the only hanger with any damage. All are in excellent condition for their age. These came from my old antique steamer trunk that I don't have anymore. I forgot the maker of the trunk. But it was marked made in 1913.

Antique Wheary Burge Steamer Wardrobe Trunk,Early 1900's,Nice
Hi. Up for sale i have an antique Wheary Burge Wardrobe Steamer type trunk from the early 1900's. Made in Racine Wisconsin by Wheary trunk company, sold in Kansas city by Luce luggage. This trunk is in very good condition for as old as it is, comes with original iron board, 10 wooden hangers, removable smaller case, black with brass accents, the felt on the flip top has some splits, the locks on the trunk are working, the keys for the outside of the trunk and for the bar that secures the drawers in place have been re-made by a locksmith. Trunk measures about 42" tall, 22" wide and 26" deep. Vintage steamer trunk Circa 1915.any insight would be appreciated Louis Vuitton Measures: 40" x 24" x 28" This trunk spent most of its life in Key West and found its way to Colorado where it has been stored for the last 20 years. The humidity from key west has lent itself to corroding the nails that hold the interior fabric and have bled into the fabric as well. There is some waving to the LV logo decor on the outside left This beautiful piece has castors/ wheels on the underside. I do NOT have a key for the trunk This piece would be awesome as a coffee table or by itself. This is such a big trunk you could store most anything in it.old linens. Comforters, pillows, books, etc. A great statement piece. This would be great as it sits or a beauty restored. The trunk opens/closes well and the latches latch as well. RARE VINTAGE 1965 SNOOPY WARDROBE TRUNK Many OUTFITS AND HANGERS PEANUTS 12 PICS
A rare item. This is the 1965 Snoopy Wardrobe Trunk for 11" plush dolls. It measures approximately 12" x 7" x 6 1/2" It is made out of cardboard and is missing the closing latch. has it's red drawer inside to put the small clothing in. It is not perfect and has some wrinkles and wear. Comes with many outfits and 2 hangers. The Beagle Scout outfit(including the hat) is awesome. It also includes the Pilot's jacket. Cap and goggles, the sheriff's vest and shorts, an additional pair of brown shorts, a blue cap with S on the front and a Snoopy for President shirt which is a little dirty plus two neckerchiefs. "Everwear" vintage wardrobe steamer trunk Nice
I have a very nice vintage steamer trunk wardrobe. This has been used so there are a few things that would need fixed if it were ti be made perfect. I tried to take as many pics as possible to show you the trunk. It is beautiful and will make a great addition to your home or collection. I cannot locate keys. The handle is missing on the bottom and is attached to just one side in top. The other side will pull out and is not attached. Some minor water damage but nothing that destroys the integrity or durability. The bottom of trunk shows some wear from travel. Dark green and black with name in white lettering. Vintage Belber Trunk Chest Wardrobe Travel Gotta See - Really Awesome!!
The previous owner of this trunk would have been 105 this year) It is a really cool looking trunk with the 5 drawers. The old hangars, the briefcase like drawer that slides in under the clothes, and what looks to be an ironing board that has paper covering it(we did not take it out- we left it undisturbed) We do not have keys, the big lock on the front was popped but looks to be okay. There is a sticker or two that say Belber(which is how we knew that much about it) We believe this is all original and it is in pretty good shape- it does have marks and wear due to use and age but it seems to be a very solid piece and would be awesome restored. Charming old wardrobe trunk available to add to your collection of antiques! Since it is super heavy. Local Pickup only. UPDATE! We are willing to negotiate delivery within approximately 75 miles of our home! What's so cool about this wardrobe trunk is that it has features that so many of the other wardrobes you see don't have or they're missing! Also. It was restored approximately 20 years ago and is still in good condition. You may want to repaint or reline the trunk to make it your own, but you don't have to worry about a bunch of repairs because they were already done. For example, the metal trim was not brass and so it was painted. It could easily be repainted to suit your needs. As for the unique, original features, the trunk includes: a wooden ironing board, metal bracket for iron, a pull out holder for the ironing ... moreboard, 6 wooden hangers- one of which holds a cloth laundry bag, a removeable wooden box(holds shoes.lap desk? and 4 drawers- among other features. It's missing the outside lock and original leather handle(handle was replaced with a strong leather buckled handle) The key to the inside lock, the narrow flat bar that slides in front of the drawers, and some material behind the drawers. Some of the material is faded. The hinges and drawer pulls are secure and in functional condition except one outside latch(this doesn't prevent the trunk from closing tightly. The metal rods that hold the hangers extend out to hold the ironing board and are easy to slide in/out. All the drawers are lined with material and are in good/clean condition. The top drawer is divided into three compartments and is in good condition. The two middle drawers are in good condition too. The bottom drawer is deep and has a shallow pull out tray which exposes a cool feature. The feature is a sphere shaped cloth form that straps to the side of the drawer with leather. The original leather is still in place and functional. But somewhat brittle. My guess is that a hat could be pinned to the form to keep it saf

There is a number D4 on the front latches along with the eagle or phoenix logo. The hinges and latches are all in good working condition. There is NO key, sorry. The elastic pocket on the inside is very taunt. The outside has some white scuff marks, not bad though. The inside liner has just a couple light stains. Set of 6 wooden hangers from an antique wardrobe trunk from the early 1900's. They are in need of some TLC. But will be great for anyone restoring an old trunk! The first picture shows the whole lot. The others include close ups of the wood hangers. Showing their condition. They all measure around 18" wide& 8" top to bottom. Some of them have a little damage on each side as shown it the photos. Vintage Wheary Cushion Top Wardrobe Trunk-Green Amazing Condition Complete
Here we go there is so much to say about this vintage Wheary Cushion Top Wardrobe which is fully fitted with key and in amazing condition for its age. The trunk is a dark green with beautiful hardware. I have included lots of photos so you can fully appreciate. It stands approx. 42" tall and 22" wide and 10" deep on each side. It has 5 drawers(1) 4" cushioned with side pockets. 3) 7" lined in Wheary fabric with ties and a large bottom drawer line in Wheary fabric that is 12" The fabric color is a light pink in the classic Wheary design with W's. The wardrobe side is lined in fabric with a fabric curtain that snaps back and has the original hangers and pant hangers. There is also a secret compartment on the bottom of the wardrobe. The fabric while aged is all there in all parts of the interior with no tears. ... moreRather than traditional handles the drawers have stylized clear"lucite" pulls. Deep royal blue with a striking yellow stripe and black leather accents. The interior is a pale green with white accents, a very stunning pattern by itself. Includes 5 drawers, 2 types of wooden hangers which are on an extendable rod, and a travel case. The top of the wardrobe opens for ease of access. The side says"Kenworthy, Glenside, PA. It measures 42" length x 22" width x 23" height. It weighs approximately 85lbs. It opens as you see in the pictures and when fully open measures 45" across. As far as condition issues. Extremely Cool Old Wardrobe Steamer Trunk
Mandel Bros Wardrobe Steamer Trunk 1930’s( Chicago History or Your Future Equipment Case One side of this cool trunk flips up and has metal arms which extend to get at hanging clothes. The original wood hangers are still present. The other side has four pull-out drawers. Dimensions are roughly 22’ x 22” x 41’ I’d guess the weight at 80-90 lbs. Obviously this was designed as a travelling closet and was built to take a beating. Mandel Bros was one of the leading Chicago department stores from the mid-1800’s to the 1970’s. The trunk shows the expected scuffs and dings but is structurally solid. The vintage wear just adds to its rustic charm. The exterior is black. Though it looks lighter in some of the pictures. The lock has been popped and bent so is currently non-functional(and there is no key) but the trunk still securely latches shut. The ... moreinside and the drawers appear to have been recovered and/or painted. Several areas look stained but this is from the glue under the fabric. The drawer handle doesn't look original. This is an awesome rustic vintage Gibraltarized Hartmann Cushion Top Wardrobe Trunk! It would make a great addition to your house: You can use it for storage. Antique Wardrobe Style Travel Trunk w/ Customs Sticker Possibly Hartmann?
This is a very clean trunk. The inner cover has a rip in it and I don't have the key. But the case is sturdy and the interior clean. The handles show some wear too. No odors or stains. There is a customs sticker from the US on the outside, but I couldn't read a date. This looks exactly like the Hartmann, but has no tag. The only name I found was the Eagle Lock Co and the latches. We are buyers. Sellers and traders. We work in the Bucks County Pennsylvania area. I do not currently have a showroom. But can meet you at our storage facility for pick up or inspection. Legendary Boston trunk maker W.W. Winship EST. 1776-1973. Winship is credited with the innovation of the domed trunk. A storage staple in Boston attics for generations. Winships fulfilling Bostonians' taste for trunks, customers such as Ben Franklin, Buffalo Bill and P.T. Barnum. The Winship family continued the tradition of selling fine luggage until 1973, until the firm was acquired by The London Harness Company Still in business today. The latch seems to still be locked. But the trunk opens. The trunk measures about 40H" by 24W" by 41" Across when opened. It is dark green with brass hardware which is tarnished. Sides are scruffed. Trunk includes key for outside lock but no key for inside drawers. Original hangers and small ironing board are still intact. Various compartments and drawers. Would make a neat display for antiques or old clothing or unique coffee table. Vintage Wardrobe Trunk Brass Metal Chest Genuine National Vulcanized Fibre WWII Slat Flat Top Note: says HR Oswald on the bottom. Could be original owner. The Genuine National Vulcanized Fibre Trunk was only in production from 1922-1965. This trunk looks by age to be from the 1940's. I did not take it to antique dealer to get the exact year it was made. For lack of time. This was bought from an antique distributor who did not know the exact date, so this is up to the buyer. Because the company went out of business this trunk would not be any older than 1965. There are 2 wardrobe drawers that are really deep about aprox 11.5" Length: 36" Width 12" from the outside. ... moreIncluded are 4 wooden hangers. One might be broken or it was just made differently than the other 3. This wardrobe case was originally used by soldiers during WWII to keep their clothes and possessions safe while traveling. MENDEL WARDROBE TRUNK EARLY 1900'S
This Early 1900 Wardrobe Mendel Trunx is in beautiful shape on the interior! It even has the hangers and key! The blue material ans all drawers are in good shape. The exterior like most of these trunks shows some wear. There are two small tears in the exterior material and the exterior lock mechanism has been twisted and bent but all parts are still strongly attached. The latches are in great working order and the trunk can still be tightly closed utilizing these. All original metal is in tact and there is not a single loose piece. Antique Steamer Travel Trunk Wardrobe 5 Drawer Chest with hanger bar Vtg Up for auction is a neat old steamer trunk. This is still in good. Solid condition. It has 5 drawers on the right, and hanging clothes storage in the right. There are some peach colored stripes painted on the outside of it, and the latches were painted gold. We don't think this is orginal paint. The lock is not working and there is no key included, but the latches still hold the trunk down. There are some scuffs on the side and bottom as shown in the photos, but these only add character to this trunk which has likely has travelled thousands of miles. Vintage Wardrobe Trunk P. Becker & Co. Chicago
Wonderful antique wardrobe trunk found at an auction. The trunk has the manufacters name plate P Becker& Co. Makers Chicago. I could not find much history on this just that around 1930 they went from making trunks and suitecases to table tennis. Anyway this trunk is very heavy. It is in pretty good condition. It does need some cleaning up which was going to be my project but I need to find my garage before winter. The trunk is 43" tall and 21x24" on top. It opens sideways. Has hangers, an iron board and drawers.Did not find a key. Needs a new leather handle. Contact for more details. non smoking house/garage.
