As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. Today you can go anywhere in the entire world within 24 hours by plane. Just think way back when before commercial airlines. People traveled primarily by railroad or by ship. Traveling was long, hard, and exhausting. People would literally live out of these trunks as they traveled for weeks and sometimes months on end. Thus. They were built with quality and built to last, which is why they have stood the test of time! The craftsmanship that went into the construction and design of theses ole’ trunks are truly nothing short of spectacular. I recently discovered this wardrobe trunk buried in the rafters in the attic of a local farm house estate in a in nearby town. It stopped me dead in tracks and I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor! There was no way I was leaving without this trunk. And lucky for me I had hubby to carry it out of the attic and down 3 flits of stairs! And now for the decription… This is a nice authentic period Wardrobe steamer trunk. It is signed on the exterior by the maker Oshkosh Trunk Company. I am unsure of the exact age. But it was clearly left where I had found it for a very very long time. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. Welcome To My Dolly Dearest on eBay.an experience in collecting! Vintage 15" Vinyl Nurse Doll with Trunk& Extra Clothing 15" Vinyl Nurse Doll with trunk and extra clothing. The doll is 15" tall. Fully jointed, and made from hard vinyl. She is not marked. She has blue sleep eyes with perfect lashes, vibrant facial coloring, closed mouth, and dark blonde rooted hair still in the original set. She comes dressed in her original nurses uniform which includes a white short sleeved dress with white donut snap closures. White pinafore apron with a red felt cross on the bodice and tying in the back in a bow, a blue cape with ties, white panties, white high heeled shoes, and a white nurses cap with blue trim. Her outfit may need a bit of freshening. She comes with extra clothing which includes a white vinyl purse. White"straw" ... morehat with purple headband, blue& white checked dress with white lace trim, white nylon nighties with pink ties(some fraying on the ties) and pink and white robe edged in white piping that ties at the waist. The suitcase style trunk is made of cardboard with a goldtone closure. Red plastic handle, and a large red cross in the center of the top of the trunk. The interior has a black cardboard lining with original black cardboard hangers on one side, and on the other side, a spot to secure the doll. The trunk is in fairly good condition, considering it's age, with some signs of use on the outside, a small water stain in the one corner, and a few places were the outside paper is lifting. The trunk measures 16" high, 12" wide, and 6" deep when closed. When open, it measures 24" wide, 16" high, and 3" deep. Overall, everything is in nice vintage condition. Presenting the original vintage 1964 Mattel SKIPPER doll"CARRYING CASE" with a black plastic handle and two accessory drawers. This case is in amazingly excellent. Practically near mint condition. The vinyl is clean with no scratches- just a few light impressions. The hardware at the handle, front clasp and small round rivets on the top and bottom is a shiny silver with no rust or tarnish. The case has its natural, faint plastic scent. The only tears in the vinyl are on the inside& outside top& bottom corners where the case doors open and close. They could have been partial made by the factory so the doors could open freely. The inside is pristine with no smudges or marks. I have to list as used but they have never been on a doll. Gold wedge shoes were included with#1833 Shoe Wardrobe. Manufactured by Mattel in 1963 for Barbie doll. Wedge shoes have a soft gold top strap and liner with brown bottom. Gold wedge shoes were also included with Mattel's In the Swim and Fashion Feet in 1964. The strap and liner is securely intact; the pair is in mint condition. Vintage items are stored away from sunlight in a smoke-free. Climate controlled home. 1962 Barbie Ponytail Doll Case Mattel Vintage Black Vinyl Carry Trunk Wardrobe
This Barbie carry case has a bit of the usual wear from use. The corners are in very good condition with no tears. The latch area has a vinyl scuff next to the upper right section of the latch that can be seen in the picture. The latch itself is in good working condition but does have light rust. Inside the vinyl is in good condition with no stains. The vinyl has tears on both sides where the lid hinges back. The cardboard accessory box is torn. Love this Antique White Gentleman's Wardrobe.it measures 5' 10" tall 3' 1" wide. It measures 2' feet on the inside. It is in excellent used condition. I was excited to find this piece and fell in love with the scroll work on the top edge and on the door. On the inside it is beautiful walnut with a mirror mounted on the door( no cracks) with brass clasp to hold it into place. The door pull is in a tear drop and that just makes the whole piece work.
