$78.78 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Cheyenne, United States This is an awesome vintage Ajax Auto Trunk! A great antique car storage unit for someone who wants to fix it up a little! Old advertisements for this ... moretrunk can be found from the 1918s! This trunk is close to 100 years old! The hinges on the lid are still in good condition and workable. The flip-down locks on the front are stiff but open and close well. The center lock no longer works- looks like someone had to"break and enter" as it is slightly bent and the lock mechanism is missing. There are heavy leather handles on the side that are still in very good condition. Above these handles are eye hooks to attach and hold the trunk still. There are decorative rivets holding the steel in place on all the edges. It looks like a few of them have been replaced over the years. All the outside hardware has rust on it. The black outside material is canvas-leather like. Not sure what it is but there are some rips and showing underneath is wood.There are small holes on the sides and bottom. Maybe this was used for bootlegging at one time? It looks like the bottom could have been nailed down to something as there are small nails that stick up on the inside. Neat old black and white wallpaper type material on the inside of the lid and in the three cubby-holes on the right side. Very spacious measuring approx. 29" long x 15" high. The largest space on the inside measures 24" wide x 11" Each of the cubbyhole spaces measures approx. 4" x 3 1/4 to 3 3/4" with the center space being the smallest. The inside is lined in a canvas type material. I will say there is a very strong mildew smell on the inside. It is dirty inside too- this is definately in need of some TLC! It looks like someone added leather and snaps to the inside of the lid to hold things.the leather is light colored and newer looking. One of these straps is broken. The original leather strap that holds the lid open is scuffed and worn but still works for the purpose. Overall this is a nice vintage trunk with a condition commensurat

The trunk has gotton wet at some point, and the moisture damage and staining goes all the way through to the inside of the trunk. The covering on the outside of the trunk is worn, torn, and coming off in this area as well. The trunk has a hinged lid, and the original lining is still inside the bottom portion of the trunk. The trunk is made of wood, with a nice olive green covering that is mainly intact, except for the aforementioned area, and metal reinforced seams.

Wonderful Vintage Brass/Nail Head Designed/Wood Bodied Miniature Trunk
This is a wonderful piece of American folk art; it is a wooden trunk that is then"wrapped" in brass sheeting and brass straps( see pictures of the top lid; and then studded with silver nail heads of size; they add a beautiful proportion to the overall as well. I would date it early; 1850-1900 and midwest in origin. The hinges additionally are early; the latch and handles are also original to the piece. I think it is quite delightful. Measures 7 1/2" to the top of the dome; 7" across and 5 1/2" deep. Surface has a great; mellow and rich patina; it's a wonderful example that possibly a father made for his child; as their own special trunk or possibly something he made for his bride to be. Purchased in France at the Marche aux Puces de la Port De Vanves. This Vellum-Colored Cabin Trunk has magnificent European styling. Measuring 29" long, 17 1/2" wide, and 12" deep, it has beautiful maple banding around the entire exterior with metal fittings for added protection. This French Cabin Trunk features 3 original sturdy leather handles, one on either of the 2 sides and one in front. The original metal latches have a wonderful aged patina. Circa 1940's. It is in good condition with light travel wear from use. The interior has a nice original French plaid paper lining showing minor wear appropriate to the age of the piece. These 2" X 2" X 1 1/2" trunk knees are NOT shiny. New brass plated pieces, they have a natural aged patina. I bought them when I was making replica trunks in the early 1970s. I have several hundred of them. The knees in the photo are typical. All the knees and corners in my inventory are the same age so the patina is constant. If they would benefit your projects, I have some with minor surface rust that wipes right off with Never Dull. It does leave spots and unique markings when wiped off; actually very pretty that way. These knees are perfect for building Steampunk furniture.

Rare Antique Maier Oak Slat Beveled Top Trunk, Vintage, Restored, Tray & Key!
Here is the trunk for your collection! This beautiful rare trunk was made by Martin Maier& Company of Detroit from the 1885 to 1895 period. Based on the actual dates of manufacture of the hardware. If you see a trunk with this type latch it was not made in the 1870's as many other sellers state. Because they were patented in 1882 and used into the late 1890's. I do extensive trunk research. Size: 30" wide. 22 1/2" tall, 20" front to back. A fabulous rare size, great for many uses! Very few Martin Maier slat trunks are found and even fewer flat tops with the beveled corners such as this one. This style was advertised in one of their catalogs as a"Rustic" trunk covered entirely with hardwood slats. Superior quality and based on the Excelsior trunk patent of 1868. Which most people now call Oak Slat Trunks ... moreor Victorian slat trunks. Maier established his trunk company in 1865 after serving in the Civil War. This special trunk is not common in any way! Martin Maier& Co developed their distinctive narrow slat alternating color style trunks and they are very hard to find in such good condition. These are made of hardwood strips of oak or elm and another darker wood, over an all wood body. These trunks were made to be impressive and were more expensive to make than the ordinary metal, leather, or canvas covered trunks. That's probably why they are so rare today. The special corner"lid stay" hinges are marked Pat'd April 1879 and were patented by Martin Maier too! The front catches were patented in 1882. All of the trunk's hardware is in good condition and the wood has no breaks or missing wood. No sand blasting, sanding, or polyurethane coating has been done on this trunk exterior as some other restorers do. The trunk has a very smooth finish, which is hand rubbed tung oil, the finest antique furniture finish. The interior is also beautiful with a large Victorian chromolithograph, and the Maier label! Description Up for your consideration is an Drucker and CO. Steamer trunk from the 1800's. I believe they made these to use as shipping cargo containers for the big ships. And I was told that the tar type of finish may be the original coating(no it's not sticky) The hardware on this trunk is fantastic as far as detail! There are some places on the trunk that have deteriorated through. Please see photos. I would however consider this to be a great peice to have, considering the quality of the build. Vintage Wood Trunk White Star Line
Rare Vintage Trunk with some Very Interesting Impressions. It is Stamped White Star which I assume means it was used on a White Star Ship. It is Painted and has several flowers painted on it as well. The Patina is very old and looks to be done when the box was made or very shortly after. It is stamped with several words I cant decipher with the exception of"White Star" and the Lot Number. There are some worm holes in the bottom but the chest is very sturdy and in excellent working order. The clasps are tight and easy to use. Vintage steamer trunk Circa 1915.any insight would be appreciated Louis Vuitton Measures: 40" x 24" x 28" This trunk spent most of its life in Key West and found its way to Colorado where it has been stored for the last 20 years. The humidity from key west has lent itself to corroding the nails that hold the interior fabric and have bled into the fabric as well. There is some waving to the LV logo decor on the outside left This beautiful piece has castors/ wheels on the underside. I do NOT have a key for the trunk This piece would be awesome as a coffee table or by itself. This is such a big trunk you could store most anything in it.old linens. Comforters, pillows, books, etc. A great statement piece. This would be great as it sits or a beauty restored. The trunk opens/closes well and the latches latch as well. The lock hasn't ... morebeen tested as I don't have a key. It may have had a monogram on each"handle" side. see yellow faded squares) or maybe this is residue from old travel stickers? Buttons. Latches, hinges and leather straps are marked. The lock doesn't look to be original hence not marked. The leather security strap is too short to latch to the buckle. This is a wonderful auction for two BELLE snoopy dolls. They are both plush and have been played with but have no tears or spots that I can see. The first one is larger and measures about 10 inches in sitting position she is almost 14 inches when stretched out. She is wearing a red shirt with a"B" on front. The little doll is about 10 inches tall. This auction contains clothes for both dolls. First is a pink vinyl trunk with Belle's name all over it to hold everything. The clothes have all been worn but are still in very good preowned condition. There are two Belle pink dresses. One red raincoat and one red dress with bloomers.
