It is in fair condition, with good bones, but the outer covering is stained, and torn in several ... moreplaces. The metal corners and the seams are all intact. The leather handles on each end are also intact, however, they are brittle and cracking. The latches work, but the center locking mechanism is missing. There is a small break in the wood of the trunk in this area, where the bottom portion of the locking latch would have been located. There is a piece of the left latch that is also missing. The inside lining of the trunk is intact, but it is quite dirty, and there are large stains on it as well. The original label is still present on the inside of the lid but is very faded. The trunk is 9.5” deep, 13.5” tall, 30.5” long, and 22.5” wide.

But I am having a really hard time deciphering it, it appears to be someone's name and then a place in New York. The trunk does have railroad transportation labels on both sides of the trunk. The trunk does have some wear as you can see, original front lock hardware is missing and it does have surface loss. Some of the paint has alligatored a bit on the sides as you can see from the photos. Trunk measures 35.25 inches wide by 17.25 inches deep by 17 inches tall. It has labels for New York Central Railroad and Westcott express one side and the other side has a very partial label and from what I can tell it is in French. The front of the trunk may read Hauve(France)New York. I think this is a really nice piece, I think it has a good folk art look to it and great to find it with original green paint. The trunk features a"cushion top" with a fold out hanger system with original hangers. The drawers are all there. As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. All original"unbreakable hangers" a garment bag for clothing worn, all hand riveted, and featered a patented locking mechanism that actually hooks so your trunk would never open in travel. All of the leather is original. It has the original Brass Lock with a star pattern. The key is included and the trunk does lock. The trunk automically locks when you close the lid. If the key is not present. The key must be in the lock and turned to the unlocked position to open the trunk. Measures approximately 30" Wide(without the side straps) by 17" Deep by 15" High. Stained a Medium Brown- Base is made from Pine with Oak Slats. It does have a crack on the top. But to me, this just adds to its appeal. Other than a few very minor scratches. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. Up for sale is this beautiful restored large antique victorian roll top steamer trunk with key. It measures 35" long by 22 1/4" wide and 25" tall. The original canvas that wrapped this trunk has been removed and the wood was sanded. Stained with minwax"cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane(light sand in between coats) The interior lining has been removed and the wood was sanded then stained. The trunk shows obvious aesthetic signs of age but these details give it the perfect patina and look. The structure of this trunk is solid and it is functional as a coffee table, blanket chest, etc. A great piece with tons of character that will be the focal point of any room. This is a Mid 1950's vintage military trunk. This trunk has old stickers on it but can hardly read them. I made out it says RailWay Express. Came with another trunk it said 1955. US Army ? Antique Vintage Military paint Suitcase Trunk Case
I do not know if this is a military issue suit case or for civilian use. It is an Old find. It looks it has been repainted in the past in Olive Green. It has metal panels. Leatherstrip handles and brass locking devices. I do not know at what State this suitcase was made but the main lock has a New Jersey factory logo. What you see it what you will get. Rare Vintage Antique Cast Iron Figural Tree Branch-Trunk Plant Stand
You are looking at a great antique figural cast iron plant stand that is made to look like tree branches. Limbs, etc. I have never seen another one of these! Stand is most likely from the late 19th century. This piece was obtained at a high end estate sale recently where there were alot rare items. The hexagonal top has come loose some time ago, and was repaired by placing a bolt in it as shown, but this piece is very sturdy. The planter that I have resting in it weighs nearly 40 lbs.

Alligator Embossed Steamer Trunk 1872-1900 This slightly domed trunk with simulated alligator“hide” dates from 1872 to 1900 based on its patent dates and appointments. It is constructed of pine box framing with horizontal hardwood slats. The decorative tin is embossed with an alligator pattern and the trunk is secured with steel. Tin and brass hardware. Although its exact age is undetermined. The trunk’s hasp hardware shows a patent date of July 9, 72. Therefore, it’s fair to estimate from its overall construction and appointments that this steamer probably was manufactured between 1872 and 1900. A unique feature of this trunk is that the two front hasps have small levers that allow the lid to be secured in the closed position. The lock tongue is missing, and was not replaced in the restoration, but the lock plate when cleaned revealed brilliant ... morebrass details. This trunk is lightweight and measures 24 inches long. 14 inches wide, and 15 inches high at its crown. In the refinishing. The plain paper that lined the interior and lid was removed and the inside was cleaned, sanded and finished with two coats of clear satin polyurethane to preserve the natural color of the pine. A new floor of cedar was installed and a new tray was built and stained Early American. The exterior was refinished by sanding and wire brushing the tin. Then treating it with rust inhibitor and painted with Rustoleum Satin Black. The hardwood slats were cleaned, sanded, and finished with tung oil, with steel wool between coats to enhance the finish. The embossed“alligator” tin was cleaned and wiped with Minwax Dark Walnut stain to restore its original finish. It was then sealed with tung oil to create its natural look. Big Vintage Doll Steamer Type Trunk with Key Lock ~ Very good condition!
I am liquidating an estate and there are many dolls coming up for sale. Check all my auctions as I'm happy to combine shipping. Here is a very old vintage doll trunk; made just like Mom's! Big size ~ 18" tall. Almost 11" across, and 9" deep. This trunk opens up so you can hang the clothes and put accessories in both the top bin(can open that all the way up too ~ see pics) and the bottom drawer. There are great travel stickers all over this trunk like Swooping across the Atlantic on the SS Col. Lindbergh; Down the Nile to Silent Father of Mystery S. S. Alexandria and many more. All the necessary items are in place on this trunk such as the top handle to carry it with. The inside drawers even have their knobs, the key is tied to the outside, the metal hanging rod is in place, All decorative metal corners are in place, ... moreetc. There are some age conditions such as some of the paper being worn on the trunk, the bottom drawer has some tape on it and there is some minor staining throughout as you would expect for a piece from the early 1900's. I don't know who made the trunk. It appears there is something on the latch. But I can't read it. Look at all the photos and ask any and all questions before you buy it. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll Blond Tagged Original Clothes Huge Trunk Set
Here is a lovely Cissy doll from 1957 with her tagged original clothing as well as a huge trunk set of new and vintage clothes and accessories. All original wig. Brush lashes, face paint with eyeshadow, and just slightly refreshed blush, lower lashes, and eyebrows. Her body has NO splits, but has had some paint work. The only flaws are slight paint scraping in the joints, very common, and a faint mark on one wrist. She wears her original 1957 blouse and tagged skirt with original lingerie and shoes and a pearl necklace I believe is also original. Her skirt has a couple faint spots, and the lace on her blouse has some yellowing. These are not very visible. The tag in her skirt is crisp and bright, and her dress is stiff. This antique Louis Vuitton steamer trunk most likely dates to the turn of the 20th century. I would guess the early 1900s based on my research. I do have an inquiry placed with Louis Vuitton to try to determine exact purchase date and price, which they say they may be able to supply me with. This trunk has some old water damage, as shown in photos, but is in very good condition overall considering. The original insert is here and the trunk opens and closes as it should. Vintage Embossed Brass Coal Box/Trunk, Horses Pulling Plow Handmade, Wood
This large handmade coal box/trunk is such a great find! It is a solid wood box completely covered in embossed brass. The design. Which is on the top and front, is a scene of a farmer and his Clydesdale work horses pulling a plow through the field. The sides are an embossed filigree. The metal sheet was cut, embossed and applied to the wood with small nails. There are 2 brass hinges attaching the lid and a safety chain to keep the lid from falling back. This piece measures 20" long. 15" high and 14" wide. It sits on 4 rubber feet which may have been added later. There are some issues with discoloration on the front just above the horses and on one side. Something must have dripped on it and changed the color(see photos) The hinges have rust on them. Looks like it could be as much as a decade earlier than that to me. Measures 29" long, 16" high and 13" deep. I was told by the estate that this was a mail box. With slot and latch in front.
