This auction is for a very beautiful vintage dome top Steamer Pirate trunk. It has a very pretty pressed tin design(blue) mixed in with the oak wooden strips. It really makes a very pretty display piece It would look great in any area! It is a useable trunk. Both of the old leather side handles are attached still! The large front center hinge lock works fine but I do not have a key for this trunk. Both of the side front locks work well. There are no interior drawers. The interior shows it's age but would be great for storage. It measures as follows. It is 35 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 21 inches tall. This wood crate has a nice warm finish and interesting hinges. A latch has been removed from the lid. And there are two handles, one on the end and one below where the latch was. The cabinet has an interior lining that is like corrugated cardboard. The trunk measures 31" L x 19" W x 13" T. The interior measures 28.5" L x 15.5" W x 9 3/4" T with a 1" of additional height inside the lid. This is a nice sized trunk that would work great for storing items, stood on end for a display, or as a low end table. It can be stood on end easily due to the lack of the handle on one end. Vintage Wood Bound Steamer Trunk, Excellent Condition, Wooden Suitcase
Vintage wood bound steamer trunk. There are no identifying marks on the hardware or trunk other than the number 75 below the keyhole on the latch. I believe this trunk was made in the UK as the estate I acquired it from had many vintage items from Europe. However that is not for certain. I am not a collector and know very little about old trunks. So I have taken pictures from every angle so you can see the entire trunk. Please note the third picture, upper left hand corner, a small piece of material is missing. Also note the last picture.the wood banding was broke and repaired at some point in time. I will be happy to supply more detailed pictures upon request. Dimensions are approximately 34"w x 11"h x 21"d(not including handle) The latches are functional. But I do not have a key. Wonderful antique wardrobe trunk found at an auction. The trunk has the manufacters name plate P Becker& Co. Makers Chicago. I could not find much history on this just that around 1930 they went from making trunks and suitecases to table tennis. Anyway this trunk is very heavy. It is in pretty good condition. It does need some cleaning up which was going to be my project but I need to find my garage before winter. The trunk is 43" tall and 21x24" on top. It opens sideways. Vintage flat top steamer trunk dates back to late 1800's or early 1900's as indicated by lock made by Corbin Lock Co. Lock is marked Corbin. No key. Trunk is in good condition, measures approximately 17 1/2" x 20 1/2" x 32" with side leather handles worn off but pieces attached. Clasp hinges lock in place, keys not included. 4 metal plated rollers on bottom may have had wood around them. Top insert with compartment measures 12 3/4" W x 5 1/4" Deep. Name identification marked on front is slightly visible, assumably owner of trunk. Number marked on bottom in red barely legible, possibly for traveling purposes. We believe it is the original brown paint that has minor scuffs and scratches. There is no rusting through. Trunk is still very sound and sturdy and all sides are straight and not excessively dented. Hinges are good and the lid opens and close tight and square as it should. It is used and has wear, surface marks, scrapes and bruises from all those many years of gentle use. the interior and natural back board and inside the lid has been restored natural. Unusual Clinton"Wall" trunk manufactured in Clinton. MA about 1900 give or take 10 years. A wall trunk is hinged so that you don't have to pull it away from the wall when you open the lid. Very good antique shape. Tin has two-toned raised grapevine pattern. Brass key shield. Cast iron hinges are stamped with manufacturer's name etc. Trunk has original tray fitted for the wall design with a huge maker's label still intact. Maker's labels are hard to find and this one is very large. Original paper inside is in fair-good shape. Approximately 32"W x 23"H x 19"D This is an antique so it has some bumps& bruises. 8ONREPEAT VINTAGE CLOTHING This is an awesome Vintage 1950's KOWA ALUMINUM TRUNK. This trunk is made of wood covered in aluminum. The metal is riveted together. It features the blue Kowa logo badge. Kowa branded hardware, over 1/2 inch thick leather handles, and it was made in Japan. Kowa began making these trunks in 1954. The company merged in 1963 and the company name was changed to Fujikowa Industrial Co. Ltd. So the trunk had to have been made between 1954 and 1963. This trunk is in GREAT condition. I do not have the key to the locks but I am sure and locksmith could make a replacement set for just a few bucks. The trunk has some light scratches and dings that really adds some great character. Vintage small trunk- doll size- quaint/ unique old
The age of this chest is unknown but it is surely old. It shows quaint wear and tear for it's age. It measures 16" long. 10.5" tall and 9" wide. The handles are missing. This chest would be a wonderful decoration in your home and could be used near your doll collectibles, or placed in a vintage ensemble or could stand alone. It is just darling.
