You see the condition, she definitely has character. The bare wood was once covered with a heavy type decorative paper, most of that is gone but you see some remnants of that in places. The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. The trunk is still 100% solid. This trunk will make a killer repurpose project, you just need to use your imagination, is it a small table, a small storage trunk for a big city loft apartment? The top ... moreis made from three framed boards with a raised piece on top. Iron side handles and a molded base. Paint looks original or at least very old. Interior has sections for holding things in the front and stepped sides to hold boxes up. There are also strips of gathered leather attached to the top that may have been for tools and a cut-out"L" shape that may have held a carpenter's square. So it seems likely that this trunk was probably a tool chest at some point. Trunk probably dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. Overall. This piece is in good condition, however there is obvious wear as you can see from the pictures. There also appears to be some water damage to the finish and some water stains inside the trunk lid. The H hinges and side handles both show sign of rust, but are in solid condition and sturdy. The chest stands is 18" tall and measures 34.5" long and 22" wide. I recently came across a roll of this fantastic vintage Lone Ranger wall paper. I used pieces from wallpaper to add to a chest I had and wow it came out fantastic! I handpainted box to give it a rustic primitive look. The inside is original from when I purchased box. It is lined with a dark reddish brown velvet paper I liked the way it looked so decided to leave it. Chest was first painted with chalk paint in a colonial blue then was repainted in antique white chalk paint. Chest was then sanded antiqued with stain and then finished in wax. A large wardrobe trunk made by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. Extremely well made. And equipped with beautiful oak slats and ball castors on the bottom end. This fine trunk is complete. Fully functional, and in excellent vintage condition. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. It comes with the original key. This rare American trunk was beautifully made in the same style of the famous much more expensive ones. It measures 46" x 23" x 25" The same or better quality as the French examples. I recommend Uship or Plycon for shipping from postal code 13066. Weight about 125 lbs.

Vintage Worcester Blue/White Metal Doll Trunk Hard Carrying Case Storage Box
Vintage blue and white metal doll carrying/storage case. Has a white plastic handle on the top and is marked Pat. No. 2554795 Brass caps over all the corner edges. One screw is missing on one of these brass pieces on the top by the handle(see photo) The front of the case has 3 brass closing locks. All in working order. They are marked Worcester. Inside the case is lined in a pink atomic paper with silver starbursts. Has a sliding brass garment rack on the top. The outside of the case has marks from years of play but no major dents or damage. A very sweet vintage case to display or use for your dolls.

4 drawer pulls/ handles; 2 have decorative rounded ends and the other 2 have one side flat surface. Keebler Brass Company N11116. The measurement between holes are 4-5/8 inches. Very unusual because each handle has two horse-shoe shaped covers that fit near the ends. One side of this horse-shoe has a screw hole and the other is pointed. Vintage 1930's Named Holmby Hills Hartmann Steamer Trunk
This is a 1930's vintage Hartmann steamer trunk that belonged to Ann McNaghten. Daughter of Malcolm McNaghten whom was the then president of Broadway Department Store. The Address printed on top of the trunk is 594 Mapleton Drive Holmby Hills Los Angeles, Ca. The residence in question was best know for being the home of Star Bing Crosby from 1943 to 1964. The trunk itself is worn with some scuffs and scratches on the outside but is solid. The exterior leather straps are gone but can easily be replaced. All of the internal drawers are present as well as the removable suitcase. There are several hangers and accessories inside the trunk as well. The outside latch is broken but all other movable part appear to be present and function. Trunk is sold as is. Local pickup only. See pictures for full idea of condition.

Also has 4 round metal flat"feet" on the bottom. Great old piece with plenty of patina. Has old black paint(some of it crackled with some pieces of paint chipped off)looks like a spot of varnish spilled on the top-please see pics. Very well made, sturdy, and solid after all these years. Measures 20 1/8" long X 11" Wide& 10 1/4" tall. This is a barn find so it has dirt. Chipped paint, scratches, stains, smells, dings, imperfections, etc. I have not tried to clean, polish, or modify-I will leave that to the winner. Red lines, some thick, some thin, making a'frame' around the phrase Both long sides have a half circle cut out for getting purchase to pull drawer out of trunk There is wear to the upper edges of the drawer with the most wear on the half circle cut outs The Barbie side has some of the outer layer of the cardboard torn off There are short fold creases below the cut outs on both sides. There is some light staining on the inside of the Barbie side and on the outside there is a mark/stain above the word Accessories Side corner edges have wear on them There are a few small dark marks on the inside of the Skipper side Bows out just a bit in the long side middle On the short end nearest the Skipper word.
