All of the leather is original. It has the original Brass Lock with a star pattern. The key is included and the trunk does lock. The trunk automically locks when you close the lid. If the key is not present. The key must be in the lock and turned to the unlocked position to open the trunk. Measures approximately 30" Wide(without the side straps) by 17" Deep by 15" High. Stained a Medium Brown- Base is made from Pine with Oak Slats. It does have a crack on the top. But to me, this just adds to its appeal. Other than a few very minor scratches. I have a lot of 3 vintage pieces for sale. The smallest is a Samsonite. Probably from the 50s. Great condition and nice patina. It has 1 folding compartment. It measures approximately 21x15x7 inches. The medium is also a Samsonite, probably from the 50s. Great condition, with a little bit of staining on the fabric. It has 2 compartments one of which has original hangers. It measures approximately 24x18x8 inches. The big one is a steamer trunk made by Air Pak. I'm guessing it's early 20th century and it's in amazing condition. Vintage/ Antique Large Monogrammed Flat top Steamer Trunk- Unidetified Maker This is a larger steamer trunk that approximately measures 36.25" L x 21" W x 20.25" D The trunk was an auction find and I have no history on the trunk. The trunk is monogrammed with the initials"E.W.J. I was unable to locate a manufacturer name or logo. The trunk is in"usable" condition as it's not falling apart. But it has seen better days- PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS! The trunk looks as though it originally had leather side handles. Unsure of the covering. But it may have been some sort of leather(hoping the experts will know from the photos) Some of the locks are either damaged. Or are missing parts. Missing one of the metal top corner protectors. Vintage Steamer Trunk in very good condition. This a clean example. The hardware. Canvas and insides are in very good shape. The middle latch in the front is missing the clamp part. Inside is clean- no water stains, mold, significant tears, etc. Hinged lid, brass latches. The interior tray is missing and one strap is not attached. The interior is covered in a brown plaid material(I think it is cloth) The exterior is covered in what looks like canvas, but I am no expert. This vintage wooden steamer trunk packs a great deal of rustic style as well as plenty of room for clothes. Knick knacks or whatever you'd like. It has been painted green and measures 27 1/2" x 15 1/2" x 20" t with 26" x 14 1/4" x 13" of storage room. It had handles on both sides at one point and has a non functioning lock on the front. This is a very unique trunk that I know nothing about. I could find none others like it online. I took as many pictures as possible to serve as the description. As I don't really know how to describe it. The hinges are made so that you can easily remove the top or open the top leaving it attached. It has 2 mini side doors that have locking hardware that opens easily with their spring mechanisms when you slide the little buttons to the right. I have no keys for this trunk. The main carrying handle is leather and is broken. There is leather on the corners of the trunk as well as rubber feet on the bottom and the side, so you can stand it up 2 ways. Made of wood with some kind of grayish green covering. It is in great shape, with minor scrapes/scratches here or there. It is 21.5" x 20.5" x 12.5" and weighs approx 20 lbs. Hello, Up for auction is a very neat Antique Steamer Trunk. This trunk measures about 40 longx 22 wide x 13 deep. This trunk was sent to the Wisconsin State Historical Society- it is written in paint on the top of trunk It has the two shipping tags on both sides- on it it states that the contents were historical photographs and china having to do with Col. Raymondo? Biography- this trunk is empty- there is nothing included) It does have a tin with 2 keys in it for the trunk. The trunk has traveled a lot and does have wear. The trunk is monogrammed with the initials"E.W.J. I was unable to locate a manufacturer name or logo. The trunk is in"usable" condition. Vintage/antique steamer trunk, black/brass, flat top, monogram "WFK",
This trunk has a lot going for it. With its flat top. It makes a nice coffee table. Once it gets aired out, it would be extra storage space. It is quite attractive, in a"shabby chic" sort of way. It is quite old, although I don't know where it came from. My mother had it in her attic for as long as I can remember(which is a pretty long time) For the past 8 years, it has been in storage. WE just got it out, but since we have 2 others, we really don't need this one. It is black, with brass fittings/edges, so its quite attractive. Unfortunately we didn't have the key so had to"pick" the lock. It will shut properly, so you can carry it, but won't lock. The leather handles on each end are well worn, but we were able to use them-carefully! to move the thing. Inside, it has a decent lining, which you can see in ... morephoto 6. There are 2 trays, neither one of which is the original, as they don't fit on the edges properly. The first, shown in photos 7 and 8, has 2 compartments and fastens with a couple leather straps with snaps(one is broken) The edges of this drawer are rather crushed(see photos 11 and 12) There is another tray underneath, which has some sort of dried goop, that probably was gooey at one point, as it has been covered with tape. Antique Vintage Solid Pine Wooden Doll Steamer Travel Trunk Very nice antique doll steamer travel trunk made from pine. It is wallpapered on the inside with a drawer and upper compartment along with a clothes hanging bar and 2 hangers. It has 4 vintage travel stickers inside on the drawers. The wood is in good condition and all of the hinges and clasps are still firm and in working order. A couple brads are missing as I have shown in pictures. It comes with a key but the lock needs some professional adjusting and does not work as is. There is some staining behind the bottom drawer of possible wood finishing, the wallpaper otherwise is in excellent condition. It is in overall very good condition as you can see in pictures. Very nice woodwork, one leather strap is broken the other is good, the pictures say it all. The dimensions are 31 wide by 17.5 wide by 25 deep. The flower has Pat. A large wardrobe trunk made by Henry Likly of Rochester. N.Y. established 1844. Extremely well made. And equipped with beautiful oak slats and ball castors on the bottom end. This fine trunk is complete. Fully functional, and in excellent vintage condition. It is signed with a brass plaque outside and a paper label inside. It is ink stamped Patented December 12. 1911. It comes with the original key. This rare American trunk was beautifully made in the same style of the famous much more expensive ones. It measures 46" x 23" x 25" The same or better quality as the French examples. I recommend Uship or Plycon for shipping from postal code 13066. Weight about 125 lbs.

Vintage 1930's Named Holmby Hills Hartmann Steamer Trunk
This is a 1930's vintage Hartmann steamer trunk that belonged to Ann McNaghten. Daughter of Malcolm McNaghten whom was the then president of Broadway Department Store. The Address printed on top of the trunk is 594 Mapleton Drive Holmby Hills Los Angeles, Ca. The residence in question was best know for being the home of Star Bing Crosby from 1943 to 1964. The trunk itself is worn with some scuffs and scratches on the outside but is solid. The exterior leather straps are gone but can easily be replaced. All of the internal drawers are present as well as the removable suitcase. There are several hangers and accessories inside the trunk as well. The outside latch is broken but all other movable part appear to be present and function. Trunk is sold as is. Local pickup only. See pictures for full idea of condition.

Eveleigh Baggage Canada's best since 1870" Under the outer lid, there is an insert which reveals the main compartment when removed. Trunk is fully intact except the centre buckle needs repairing. One rear hinge needs tightening, the right-side leather strap is torn. Otherwise this is in great shape inside and out. Please take a look at the pictures to determine condition! This trunk is from the late 1920's, very clean, comes from a smoke free& pet free home. Outer dimensions are approx. 36" wide x 23" high x 21" deep There is very little information available about this company. It seems that one John Eveleigh was born in Hereford. England in 1765, moving to Ireland ... morewhere all of his children were born before emigrating to Montreal, Quebec. One of his descendants, Joseph, remained in this city and founded the luggage company in 1870. In the days of lengthy travel by steamship and rail, there was obviously a huge demand for traveler's trunks. As the automobile and then the aircraft gained ascendancy as a mode of travel, luggage needs changed and perhaps Eveleigh did not adapt to this. The company was bought out in 1957 by the J.E. Lortie Company, also of Montreal, which had begun in 1892 as a saddlery business, eventually turning to the manufacture of leather pole-climbing belts and straps needed by workers erecting the the rapidly expanding electricity and telegraph lines. The Lortie company went on to manufacture canvas goods such as dunnage bags and army webbing during World War II, to which they added the Eveleigh product line when they acquired that company. Today, Lortie is known as Jelco, and specializes in fall-protection equipment. I will be listing a number of various pieces from 1930's-1970's. RARE Antique Vintage Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Travel Chest Case w/ History
Incredible opportunity to own a piece of history- antique steamer wardrobe trunk in very good condition considering its age. It has traveled the world and although many of the vintage stickers have faded as you can see in one photo there is one that shows a date of 1936. The trunk measures 22.25 x 22 x 40 inches on the outside. As you can see in the photos it opens standing up and has one side with a hanging wardrobe(total 6 hangers. 3 for pants and 3 for shirts or jackets) The other side is a chest of four drawers in varied sizes- the top has a divided compartment. The trunk closes and opens well, the lock is separate and has been stored in one of the drawers as you can see in the last photo. The trunk is quite heavy and is available as local pickup only. It has wheels on the bottom, has to outside latches that work fine and a center locking latch I have no key, but not all that hard to finds a key. The outside is made of wood and metal with some leather overlay and wood slates, the bottom is solid, there is no self for the inside and overall in good condition. This trunk was bought about 20 years ago from someone who stated it had been purchased from an Estate. They were told that it had belonged to a World War II Nurse who took it overseas with her during her service time. We have no idea who this woman was other than the initials on the trunk"M.A.B. How great if a family member saw this ad and brought it home! This charming old wardrobe trunk is a LAUB'S LUGGAGE Baggage Builders brand. Manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky. It is in good condition inside and outside, with obvious age related scars but no major flaws. It can be used flat for a coffee table or upright to store items in the four drawers of various sizes. It also still has the original wooden clothing hangers on the left side and looks awesome decorating an old-fashioned bedroom with vintage style clothes hanging inside. ... moreThe outside is black in color and the inside is a medium blue. The long side is flat but when standing upright. The top end has a slight curvature design& this end also opens for easy access to the clothing hangers. The Laub Brothers were trunk makers from around the 1860's through probably the 1920's and possibly as late as the 1930's. They had two stores located at 422 West Jefferson Street and 516 South Fourth Street in Louisville. Kentucky. I believe this particular trunk was probably manufactured towards the end of this company's history so early 1900's. A 1926 advertisement read"Buy Laub's trunks first because Laub's trunks last" they certainly did! The trunk opens/closes well& is quite sturdy- has been stored in a dry. Safe& clean environment since we've had it. Size is approximately 40" on the longest side& the other two dimensions are approximately 22" each. There is no key& the lock would need repair. You are inspecting an Antique Steamer Trunk Brass Name Plate Plaque Reads- Crego& Co, Makers 21 Washington St. Chicago Really rare little item. In beautiful condition! Measures about 3.5" by just over 1" I have not attempted to polish this. I will leave that to the end user. The front looks very nice. Especially for being over 150 years old. Crego operated around 1860. Great way to complete your old antique trunk. Or just a really neat item to decorate with.
