It measures 36 inches long by 24 in ches tall with the lid closed by 20 inches deep. It features a remova ble storage tray and more linens. Beddings. And clothing can be placed underne ath for conv enient additional hu ge storage. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. Item 20354.1 is a very nice vintage wooden flattop steamer trunk. It measures 30" length x 18.5" width x 21" height. It has some cracks in the wood that is not unusual for its age. But it is still a very solid trunk. It has the new leather handles. The hardware is all original, all the hardware latches and hinges are in good shape. Very old green Wardrobe Trunk made by National Trunk Corporation- Racine.Wisconsin. This item was obtained from the estate of a 101 year old man in Brooklyn. NY in 1971. It's time to find a new home for it with someone who can appreciate it and possibly restore it. The trunk is made of" Genuine Hard Vulcanized Trunk Fibre" per the label on it. It measures approximately 21" X 21" x 40. It has the initials" T.A.S. and Brooklyn. NY" painted on one end. The brass lock is labeled" 438 The Yale& Towne Mfg Co. There is no key. There is damage near the lock from being pried open. There is some white paint splatter on the outside of the trunk. The inside of the trunk is in surprisingly good shape. What a great find! I believe this little steamer trunk started out as a kit as I have seen one or two listed on e-bay before in the past. But IMHO, none of them looked quite as authentic or well-made as this! I have a similar trunk.full-size.that's been in our family for years and this looks exactly like it! I believe these kits were from the 1970's or so.if anyone can enlighten me. I would appreciate it! It is crafted of wood and has been painted to mimic an aged piece. I believe the fancy'hardware' on trunk is made of heavy metal foil.like the corner stickers you would use to put a picture into a scrap book. The handles and lock are made of heavy black felt or wool, I'm not quite sure which and they are glued down and decorated with metallic beads to mimic the screws and bolts that would have been used in the real thing. ... moreThere is a sticker on the outside of the trunk that appears to be the traveling papers from Florida Southern Railway. The interior is wallpapered in a cream and dusty blue pineapple striped pattern. There is a very old picture of two little girls smiling and eating over what looks like an old advertisement for cookies or crackers. The ad says"Compliments of" over the girl's heads.and"Henry Heide" below the can. The insert does come out of the trunk and there are two brackets inside to prevent the insert from going all the way to the bottom.just like a real steamer trunk! There is a slight curve to the lid of the trunk. But it does not completely close nor does it stand straight up when opened. It does stay open, but leans back a bit, as shown in the photos. It appears the lid was attached with some kind of heavy-duty cloth tape that has been painted over to match the wood. Maybe the paint dried and shrunk a bit, and now the lid won't close tight, I'm not sure, but it definitely doesn't take away from the charm! Vintage Mid-century doll trunk steamer star lining metal case with clothes 13 pc
This is a nice vintage doll clothes carrying case. Steamer trunk style. I don't see a brand or manufacturer's mark on it. It is in very good working order with some minor usage wear. It has light dings. Rub wear on outside, but really in good very usable condition. The interior ining is a retro star type design. It is in good condition with a few flaws- some light staining and a little splitting type wear in a corner, overall good condition. There is a slide out hanger bar on one side that works well. The case when closed measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide and 5 3/4 inches deep. Opens and closes very well and all hinges. Etc in excellent working condition. On the opposite site. I think it was probably designed to hold a doll, and underneath that area is a cardboard drawer. It doesn't pull out well anymore. I think ... moreat one time the case that holds it was actually mounted to the inside, but now you can take out the case and the drawer. It would be easy to mount again, if you want to do that. The outside is a light blue. With great old style trunk hardware, including butterfly style latches on the back. I am also including the clothes that came with it when I purchased it a few years ago. There are 13 pieces(counting the little pair of socks as one item! and a few have some stains, but most are in very good vintage condition, ready to use! The one picture showing some light dings on one end looks WAY worse than it really is- maybe the bright light made it look that way. In the 13 pieces you will find a small pair of socks. A medium size pair of doll off-white girl's pantaloons, 2 pairs of underpants, 5 doll bonnets/caps/hats in various sizes(mostly bonnets and one is satin with some tears) small to large, 1 pair of Ken-ish style unmarked khaki type trousers(would fit that type doll) 1 large doll dress, light pink with a fairly large stain. It has a metal zipper. It could be tea-stained or dyed a darker color, because it is a nice dress for a large doll, a Barbi-ish faur fur long cape also

Vintage PLEASANT COMPANY Molly's White Steamer TRUNK
Molly's shiny white STEAMER TRUNK. In Good Played With Condition, from a 1990's era Pleasant Company collection. The trunk is sturdy and very clean inside and out. It does have several scrapes and wear marks to the outer white finish and the metal trim/hardware is tarnished from aging/handling. I also noted that the upper inside panels on the left side of the trunk(above the shelves) are warping inwards slightly(see photo#10) The interior is otherwise in great condition- bright and clean. The metal bar for hanging clothes is in place but unfortunately the hangers have gone missing. The mirror is also in place though the foil has some light scratches. Overall. Item 20043 is a vintage flat top steamer trunk. The outside of this trunk is a raised floral patterned tin background. It has new leather handles. This is a very nice trunk. One of the latches on the front is missing the top piece. I tried to find one to match on e-bay, but was not able to. The trunk measures 32" x 19.5" x 23" It is very unusual with two compartments in the top and a shelf in the bottom. The inside has been lined with quilt batting and a red toile patterned fabric. The freight on this trunk is a little bit more than usual because the sides of the trunk are 1" wood and the compartments make it weigh more, then there is the fact that UPS charges extra for the large over size box. This item 14-20147-75 is a very nice vintage wooden flattop steamer trunk. It measures 33.5" x 15.5" x 29" tall. This is a very rare unique trunk. I was informed by another trunk collector that this is a sample trunk that was used to carry wall paper and large items by a salesman. It has all the original hardware, that is very good condition. There are a couple of small hair line cracks on the top, still a very sturdy trunk. It has a compartment in the lid. Vintage Flat Top Steamer Trunk With Straps And Double Tray
Wonderful flat top steamer trunk with what appears to be the original straps(one is torn) and double tray inside. The original key has been lost but the locks are functional. Given its apparent age there is wear and tear and breaks in the wood in the bottom of the trunk and tray. I have tried to take photos that illustrate these issues. I don't have any history regarding the trunk and therefore cannot be certain as to its age or condition.

A old Victorian Blanket box Circa 1870. Its very old made of pine. Comes with its original inner tray Nice original brass lock with a key to lock it. Its been around for over a hundred years and picked up lots of character marks. Impressions, splits, holes etc from the many many years of use. All these have left great looking chest. Handles have long gone with age and usage but could be replaced. As the piece is old please study the pictures or ask any questions as these show the condition. The chest has been French polished. Up for bid is a sturdy steamer trunk which gives a fascinating history on its stickers and labels. The crudely painted yellow monogram E. V. B. stands for Edwin von Borstel who traveled to Bremerhaven. Germany in June of 1956. The ocean liner was the America operated by United States Lines between 1946 and 1970. Measurements: 39” wide X 26” high X 24½” deep. Condition is comensurate with use and wear. Steamer trunks were not handled with"kid gloves" The lock is not workng and there is no key. Item 19761 is a vintage flat top steamer trunk. The outside of this trunk is all original. This is a very nice trunk. The trunk measures 26" long x 14.5" wide x 16.5" tall. It still has its original wooded handles. The inside has been lined with quilt batting and a red floral patterned fabric. It does have some cracks in the wood. But that is not unusual for the age of this trunk. It is very sturdy. I am having to increase my freight charges due to UPS increasing theirs as of Jan 2015. Thanks for looking. Item 14-20371 is a vintage wooden flattop steamer trunk. It measures 32.5" length x 18.5" width x 21.5" height. It has one crack on top. That does not take away from the character of the trunk. It is still a very sturdy trunk. It has new leather handles and all the original hardware that is in good working order. It has a 2 compartment tray. A vintage small steamer trunk design leather and velvet jewelry box. Tan leather with green and gold velvet stripes. Brass handles. Inside is lined in green velvet. There is a leather top tray with 2 compartments and a ring holder. Below that is an open area 1.5" deep. The brass clasp is decorative and does not snap or lock closed. Up for auction is a vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunk from the late 19th century era. The original label is still intact inside the trunk. With original handles on both sides. Item has been sitting in my basement for a few years after I purchased it from an antique auction in Pennsylvania. Just never had time to restore it.
