The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. Antique/Vintage Dome Top Trunk The trunk's dimensions: from left to right across the front is 32-1/2 inches. From floor to top is approximately 21-1/2 inches, and from front edge to back edge is 18-1/4 inches. The trunk is in the same condition that we found it in. There is damage to the top of the trunk and in various other locations throughout the trunk- inside and out. Structurally the trunk is good. This would be a complete restoration project. Please review all photos. I have no knowledge of its orgins or date of manufactured.

VINTAGE CARPENTER SEAMAN WOODEN TRUNK CHEST TOOL BOX- HASP w/ NO LOCK An antique wooden carpenters tool box measuring approximately 12" tall x 12" deep x 34-1/2" long. As you can see in the photos it was probably used on a regular basis. Both the top and bottom have been split with the top being repaired on the inside. There is a metal hasp but no lock. Each end has what appears to be a cast iron handle. There are semi-decorative metal corner braces. The box is put together. At least partially, with square nails which can be seen where a portion of the wood molding on the top has broken away over the years. The tool box has its' original finish except where it is worn away. Some of the repairs may be less than 100 years old but the box, by my guess, is well over 100 years old, probably closer to 140- 150 years old( view ... morethe photos and make your own determination as to condition. Probably American Age: c1940s-50s Contents: see below Details: We could not believe our eyes when we opened this c harming tin and pasteboard trunk- not only was there an antique doll in there. But also furniture, dishes, and a trousseau of extra clothes! To judge by the doll, this was someone's favorite plaything, with pieces added over the years. Ladies first. So here is the lady's information: This German lady is a beauty! She has a simply beautiful(and more elaborate than most) lowbrow china head with ooodles of black curls and her cute little ears showing! She isn't marked as to maker. But we suspect she's by one of the better firms, ... morepossibly Hertwig. We'll leave you to be the final judge! Very delicately painted, with her serene face and beautiful bright white china, she has a rather small chin and mouth in relation to her voluminous curls- quite appealing! Her face is quite striking. With a lovely symmetrical hairstyle, with deeply sculpted black curls and a well centered part down the middle. Her face has brightly painted pink cheeks, a beestung red heart mouth with upturned smile line, bright sky blue eyes with black and red lid lines and small black pupils, red nostril dots, and very thick long one-stroke symmetrical black brows. Of note are her deeply sloped shoulders, very lovely. No chips or cracks to china head. Wear to paint on front and back of hair, as is normal for these chinas. Her body is antique. Of white kid leather with jointed muslin legs; some later leather repairs to the body as seen. Her pink bisque hands are very delicate; one fleabite to underside of left hand. Very cool aluminum locker! I think it's 1940's. Lots of rivets. Heavy latches. Great industrial age look! It measures 30" x 17" and 13 1/2" tall. No inside tray. Working& functional condition is very good. I opens and closes nice and tight. The latches catch and hold. The back hinges are heavy duty and move without issue. It's been well used. I assume well traveled. And it's got plenty of scratches. Dents, and imperfections in the aluminum. It still looks great! The leather handles are in great condition. Nice old trunk for doll clothes in the shape of a dome trunk. Measures 12" X 7 1/4" X 7 1/4" This trunk has many condition issues and please use the photos as part of the description so you can see exactly what you are getting. The leather handles are gone; the lock does not work; there is a lot of wear and tear on the outside. Both on the leather and the paper. The top of the trunk is very dark, is very worn around the edges, and is separating from the box on one corner- I did not attempt to clean. I believe there once was a tray inside which is missing. And the inside paper is torn and stained. On a good note, the hinges work nicely and the wood appears solid with no holes. Here is a newer type of trunk liner paper. This is a classic pattern that we have used during our restorations. A prepasted paper. One double roll measures 20 1/2" wide and is 33' long. This lot is for two new rolls and one open roll with at least 10' remaining. This is more than enough liner paper to finish 2 average size trunks and one insert. Suggestion: We always use wallpaper paste during installation to insure adhesion.

EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE STAGE COACH WOODEN 2 DRAWER DOME TOP TRUNK/CHEST SOLID WOOD circa 1840's Up for auction is this very rare vintage and authentic STAGE COACH WOODEN 2 DRAWER TRUNK/ CHEST SOLID WOOD with a dome top. It was actually used on a stage coach and in very good condition for its age. Shabby chic rustic and rugged. Made of solid wood and sturdy. On the outside there is a little paint loss on it due to its age. Mostly on the back of the trunk on the bottom. The outside was probably refinished at one point. It was hand or CUSTOM made. Very heavy well made chest. It is solid with no damage to it or its 2 drawers. The drawers are 14 3/4 inches in depth x 20 inches long x 2" wide. In good solid condition. None of the wood shows any sign of damage. Warping or shrinkage. Both drawers open and close easily. ... moreTwo metal knobs are present on each drawer to open them. The previous owner told us that it was checked by an expert and was made sometime during the 1840's and except for one handle on the top. Everything else is original. It looks like it may have been used as a gun/pistol box or a storage box for guns. Its bottom drawer is QUITE UNIQUE. The drawer has seven raised wooden compartments in the color blue. That color blue was not be the original color. TWO of those compartments were designed specifically to fit pistols. The other compartments perhaps to hold ammo and anything else related to pistols or guns. The trunk/chest by design does not have any side handles. Four strips of embossed metal adore its domed top. When you open the trunk/chest it will not remain open unless you put something underneath the top to prevent it from closing. Underneath the lid of the trunk there is a secret compartment. The interior is in very good condition. The inside of the trunk is all natural wood. Very clean with no odors. Up for grabs is an old vintage/antique trunk. I don't know too much about the trunk other than its been in storage in a basement for years. There are obvious signs of age and wear and tear. One of the metal fasteners on the side is cracked down the middle. The trunk itself and the cloth inside would need a good cleaning. I'm leaving the trunk exactly as is and I'm not attempting to clean it. I'll leave that for the professionals! The trunk measures 29.5' across 11' deep 19' wide. There are no markings that I can see to distinguish the brand. On one of the sides there is a faded tag that may give some clue to the history but I can't make out what it says.
