Vintage 1930s LANE Waterfall Art Deco Cedar Lined Hope Chest Located on Long Island. NY Beautiful Art Deco cedar lined LANE hope chest. I believe this is from the 1930s. Solid wood construction with decorative patterned veneer. Original finish. The cedar scent is still very strong. The lid opens by depressing the latch on the outside. There is a 3-section tray on the inside with a hinged cover over the center section. Measures approx. 45 in long x 18 1/2 in deep x 23 in high This piece is in very nice condition. The interior is excellent. The exterior is in very good shape. There are 2 pieces of the veneer missing along the top left side; they have been restained. It has a rolled front with straight grain walnut veneer top, with an edge carved molding. On the front is where the company got really creative, with a nice assortment of matching veneers, including zebra wood, straight grain mahogany, maple, burl walnut and a cross-grain ebony mahogany. It’s all finished off with a carved footed cutout base. The overall size is 44 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 22.5 inches tall. c1930 Waterfall Lingerie Chest of Drawers Art Deco Tiger Wood? Good Condition
You're bidding on a beautiful. Original Art Deco Waterfall-style(what I call a) lingerie chest of drawers. This piece shows VERY well and should be a featured item in your decor. The lamination and parquetry are bold and visually striking. It has some minor flaws and wear, including a small chip(1/2" to the lower right of one drawer, a couple of light scratches, and a spot of minor laminate warp. I have pictured these. Drawers slide beautifully on wood side rails(under-drawer) It features lots of vertical and horizontal fluting. I am not an expert on wood, so I won't venture a guess on this piece. You tell me! All I know is, it's a beautiful piece of decorative, functional furniture. This piece has been coated with varnish or shellac or polyurethane(or something similar) which increases its glossy appearance. That does not ... moredetract from the appearance of the piece. Vintage art deco 3 drawer dresser. Good condition. Please review all pictures closely. Couple of things I noticed on the dresser. It has couple of l areas of blue paint on it one on the top corner and other small one the side. top has your average wear. Mirror I noticed when cleaning is starting to have haze marks. it has two spots of chips of the wood missing. front drawer and spot on the side bottom. On the left side I see some stain drips. See picture 6. Size is Dresser 43 3/4" long x 18 1/2" deep x 34" tall Mirror over all is 32" wide on the bottom and is 33 7/8" high Mirror itself is 24" wide x 29 1/2" high. No cracks in the mirror. When I acquired it the original shellac finish was so opaque you could not see any of the flame mahogany on the drawer fronts.I was delighted to find the beautiful maple and flame mahogany woods under the old finish.The side panels are gorgeous mahogany veneers.I restore antiques and customize furniture.
