It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. There is one surface scratch on one drawer that follows the line of the banding so it is no that noticable(see pix) There are some very light surface scratches on top which is also banded. MEASUREMENTS: 55" tall x 28 1/2" wide x 21" deep Item offered is a very nice banded Councill Craftsmen solid Mahogany chest on chest with solid brass swing pulls and faux key holes. Stunning piece i do not know the origin or date, looks to be pretty early i have never seen anything quite like it, i have been told it may be pine wood but am not 100% cabinet is very large about 7 feet tall and 19' deep and nearly 3 feet wide.doors have pad lock style hinges(loose but usable) wood is in good shape for age would be a good piece to refinish, i was going to but just loved the look as it is. could have been a pantry or armoire. it is hard for me to put a value on it so i am just looking for offers. local pick up only. Clarks Antique Oak Spool Thread Cabinet or Chest
The Clark family built the first factory for making cotton thread for sewing in 1812 in Paisley. Scotland. George A. Clark(1824-1873) a descendant of the founders, immigrated to the United States in 1856 and acted as an agent for the company. In 1864, George and his brother, William, built a thread mill in Newark, N.J. It became Clark Thread Co. The trademark"O.N.T" stands for"Our New Thread, a six-cord thread developed by George for use with sewing machines. The company merged with J. P. Coats in 1952 and is in business today as Coats& Clark, Inc. headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. Spool cabinets were display cases used in general stores and dry goods stores in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This spool cabinet would make a great end table since it is the prefect height. Original SARREID Brass 3 Drawer table or nightstand whichever you prefer. Good condition some brass peeling on the bottom near the legs. Very clean piece. Great collectible antique! The piece has three drawers with silver plated brass handles. The bottom of which contains a silver plate ink well and compartments. The oak body is finished in a very fine shellac which is in exceptional condition throughout. The doors and top of the piece are adorned with shield shaped bosses. Here we have a very Rare Empire Dresser for your consideration. This is a very fine Wishbone Mirrored Dresser with side wig curio cabinets. These dressers have always been the Cadilac of Empire Dressers. But this one is one of the finest we have ever seen. The burled or Flame Mahogany is fantastic. The colors are just beautiful. We do not have the exact history. But the party we bought the dresser from, told us that this dresser was saved in Katrina from the Huricane in New Orleans. It was transported north and sold to raise money for the people who once owned it there. We bought it from the next party who purchased it. The dresser is of such fine quality, and has all original parts. The only thing it may need is some new screws in the back when the wig cabinets mount. At the moment it is all assembled and they were not needed. But when the ... moredresser comes to its new home, that is one addition we would suggest is new screws in the back area. The wood on every side is pristine on this piece. The only thing you would find is normal wear from a dresser of such a grand age. All that is needed is a nice polish and this piece is ready to set up and be displayed with pride. The dresser is 77" tall by 43" wide by 21" deep. The mirror attaches on each curio side with wooden screws and original knobs. The drawer fronts have the carving at the top and bottoms and the matched grain of the wood is outstanding. This piece could be by the famous cabinet maker Thomas Day. As even the sides of the dresser have fantastic matched graining. The hand made dove tails and brass locks, are all top notch and fine quality. The marble top inset is beautiful thick Italian Marble with nice grain and detail. There are no chips, nor cracks on the marble. It could use a polish from a marble professional. But the patina and wear only adds charactor to the piece. Antique German Hanau Solid Silver Novelty Chest of Drawers Shape Trinket by Friedrich Reusswig 1910 This Antique Novelty Shape Trinket Box measures approximately 1 7/8 inches or 48 mm across the length of its lower body from side to side by just under 1 1/2 inches or 37 mm across the width of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 1 1/2 inches or 39 mm tall to the top of its lid when closed. The box is made from solid silver that has been internally gilded or gold plated in the delightful novelty form of a 17th century European chest of drawers that stands on four scroll shaped legs and it has two false drawers in the front of its body. The entire outer body has been wonderfully embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated with scrolls, flowers, lattice, foliage, birds and cherubs at play and the box has a five section piano ... morehinged lid on the top of its body, the edges of the lid overhang the body for ease of opening and the box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram. Although we have found no silver marks as such the box has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from solid silver however the internal base of the body has been impressed with the German Hanau silversmith or makers marks of Friedrich Reusswig whose marks are recorded as being used from 1903- 1926 again as photographed below, I estimate that this novelty miniature chest of drawers shape trinket box was made circa 1910. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The box has No Large Dents. No Splits, No Cracks, No Holes and No Repairs that I can find, the box or chest of drawers stand upright, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the lid opens with ease and closes tightly, the internal gilding is a really good colour with only minimal wear, the impressed makers marks are still legible although as the trinket box is a used antique it does have the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has one tiny dent in the rear left corner of the lid edge along with some extremely minor

I am proud to be offering for your consideration this American antique solid mahogany low boy chest circa 1880- 1900? This piece is right out of an old Boston area estate. It's a quality piece. All hand made of heavy solid mahogany. The finish appears to be original and good, but needs to be cleaned up and polished. The original solid brass Chippendale style hardware is all present. The drawers are in good condition and have hand cut dovetails and champhored bottoms. The carcus has plank sides, one side has an old shrinkage crack. The chest sits on tall, thin cabriole style legs that end in carved animal claw and ball feet. The problems are. the claws have been chewed by a dog and the backside has loose glue joints. Fancy Refinished Flat Top Steamer Trunk Antique Chest With Straps, Key & 2 Trays
Gorgeous Refinished Antique Flat Top Steamer Trunk With Straps. And Buckles, Working Lock& Key and 2 Original Interior Trays Here we have a very unique flat top steamer trunk from around 1900 or so. Out of about 1500 trunks that we have refinished. This is the first one that has triple straps running up the front and across the top. This one had originally come with three straps going up the front and across the top from the factory. Obviously we have replaced those three straps with Amish made leather straps, running them where the original straps once were. The center strap can be tucked under a piece of leather on the top if you don't want it to come down over the lock. We have made it that way so you can display your trunk with the lock showing instead of being covered by the third strap. We did want to include the third strap ... moresince it is the first trunk we have ever had with three straps. It just makes it more complete by putting the strap that covers the lock on this trunk. All of the black strap keepers or hold downs that you see on the front and top of the trunk are the original ones which we have painted black. This trunk is made up of poplar base wood with oak outer slat boards. We have finished the wood with three coats of polyurethane by Minwax. The wood has some typical older distress marks which include older nicks and dings along with some areas of discoloration to the wood on the slat boards. This one doesn't have hardly any stress cracks in the wood which is quite unusual since most trunks we refinish have stress cracks. Here are the trunk's dimension s: from left to right across the front is 32 1/2 inches. From floor to top is 23 inches, and from front edge to back edge is 20 1/2 inches. This one comes with the original signed working lock. It is signed, Corbin Cabinet Lock Co New Britain Conn U.S.A. We have matched up a key that does work in this lock. The metal parts which make up this trunk are not brass and have been brush painted by hand in black and gold leaf. The edge band

We acquired these at an antique and collectibles auction in southern Maryland. You're bidding on a spectacular RC Royal Crown Cooler/Ice Chest made my Kelvinator! The size of the cooler is approximately 52 inches in length. 27 inches in width and 34 inches in height. I am not sure on an exact date but its probably from the 1940s/50s or 1960s. The RC Royal Crown cooler is in good condition. There are some dents here and there but that comes with considerable age. I see two small spots of very minor surface rust on the metal rim(should be able to clean off with steel wool) I'm not sure exactly but I believe the outer part of the cooler had been repainted at one time. I say this because it looks very clean and vibrant. There is no compressor or anything to keep the cooler cool. It looks like it has been converted to a large advertisement ... moreice chest. You can use it as that or convert it to your liking! The lid that is pictured has been sold and is NOT included. The cooler is easily movable as it sits on steel rollers. The bottom of the cooler opens up in the front through two wooden doors with clear knobs. Inside the bottom there are wood slats where you can store items. Load a compressor or do whatever you like. On the left side of the cooler is even a release valve. When you have excess water from the ice you can simply turn the knob and release the water. Pretty cool! It looks like the previous owner had lined the inside with fiberglass resin. Inside is good to go. Solid and has no rust. On both sides of the cooler reads. Some were labelled, the three very small prisms are epe prisms. The largest is 6"x1.5"x1.5" the smallest are about 1cmx0.7cmx0.7cm. Antique Vintage Oak Venier 2pc Chest of Drawers
This is another item I am listing for a neighbor/friend. His parents purchased this at an auction about 40 yrs ago and at that time it was said to be about 100 yrs old. He does not have any documentation to prove this although. He moved into a place a few yrs ago that had a leak in the roof which did some damage he did however totally restore it and resealed it. Antique GORHAM SILVER CHEST Interior: Pamilla Silver Cloth, Excusive to Gorham
This Silver Storage Chest was not"manufactured. it was crafted. This, made exclusively for Gorham chest, can be dated to the 19 teens. It was one of several Silver Chests owned and used by a Mid-western family that was headed by a Judge and an elected State Senator following the Civil War. The family lived a good life which included fine sterling silver and dinners with full settings and service from live-in servants. The sterling and lovely Tiffany-marked plated pieces have been dispersed. That leaves this nice chest to find a new home. It's not mint; it's been actually USED over the years, bearing the signs of use. It's all wood; made when wood was used exclusively, no fiber board, or etc. The wood grain has been created by the maker by faux wood-artistry. I hope the photographs portray all aspects of this well-made box. ... moreIn the 25 years that this chest, FULL of silver, was in my possession, I NEVER needed to polish a single piece that was stored in this chest. This deep-brown silver cloth is FABULOUS. Please review the photos to see the generous storage areas covered by the cloth. The chest measure: exterior width, 15 3/4" exterior depth, front to back, 11 3/8" Interior is 3" deep. There is an additional 3/4" head room" when the chest is closed. The walls of the chest are over 1/2" in thickness. I was able to get a clear photograph of the label that gives good information on the origin of this Silver Chest. In good condition for age. There are no cracks, breaks, gouges, splits or other defects. There are a few imperfections on the exterior finish, all cosmetic. An Almond Stick or Lemon Oil should remedy these. The hinges are intact, very solid. The interior could benefit from a vacuuming. An"as is" sale significantly lowers the asking price. This is a quality chest AND it's a terrific PREVENTER OF TARNISH! For other destinations. Please email for a shipping ... morequote. I call this a strap type trunk. Because leather straps would have encircled it in two places. The straps would have buckled at the opening. You can see the leather strap retainers that are still in place. If you want, you can have someone who works leather to make these belt-like straps for you. The top is studded. This is quite unusual in that I've never seen it before myself. It no doubt gave the top some protection from other trunks that would have been stacked on top. I think it is quite a good look. The hardware on the front. Specifically the latches are quite ornate and show that this trunk was made back toward the Victorian era when everything was onamental in design. I figure this trunk was made in the early part of the 20th century and spent a lot of time on railroads and maybe steam ships(the labels certainly bear out the railroad part) Notice the heavy use of studded rivets all along the corner protectors. This shows the quality of the trunk and like the studded top. Improves the overall look. The lock was made by Eagle Lock(see condition note below) I suspect from this that the trunk is American in origin(no makers mark was found on it) Underneath a

Local Pick Up Only! The"Roos Manufacturing Co. of Chicago was established in 1871 by Edward Roos(born in Germany in December 1848) Died in 1906. He had several children including Otto(born 1877) and Edward(born 1880) Otto took over the Roos Manufacturing Company when his father died in 1906. They did manufacture cedar chests, but it is unclear when they started. I have not seen another like it. It is in terrific shape. ANTIQUE 17TH 18TH CENTURY CAPTAINS CHEST WRITING WOOD & BRASS BOX
Up for bid is an antique wood and brass box. I'm not an expert but from what I could gather it appears to date from the 17th or 18th Century. It may have been used as a ship captain's chest or strong box or a writing box. It has a number of internal compartments including one that locked. There is also one that looks like it would have held pen quills. The wood is quite dark and very hard and dense and the brass is hand wrought.
