It was made by Sligh Furniture, Grand Rapids Chair Company. The chest of drawers has 4 wheels on which it rolls, and the drawer handles are metal hoops. There are two small drawers on top, with two larger ones below. The item has not been through much wear and tear, because it has mainly been used as a decoration in my mothers house for the past decade. I am always on the lookout round my French antique markets for these early French textile boudoir boxes. But rarely come across one's in the form of a chest of drawers, this is such a beautiful example and in quite good condition commensurate with it's age, it does not look like it has had much use at all and the simply divine early fabric is still bright without fading, I adore this pretty early fabric with it's bold black background that really sets off the lovely soft colours of the many exquisite flowers, the sweet metal handles are all original to the drawers, structurally it is still good and strong and very useable, it stands on four turned wooden feet. This chest of drawers would have been in a lady's boudoir and would have held stockings, keepsakes, sewing items, mouchoirs, gloves etc, it is such a good size it would ... morebe perfect for sewing items, jewellery etc. The chest of drawers measures high approx 8.25" or 21cms, wide approx 10.5" or 27cms by 5.5" or 14cms. For Sale is a Stunning Victorian Solid Oak Chest of Drawers which has been scaled down either as an Apprentice Piece or considering the quality of the workmanship. A Salesman's Sample. The Chest measures 10 inches wide. 8 inches tall, with a depth of 6 inches. This heavy piece is almost certainly a Scottish example of a Scottish style of period furniture making. Everything on this piece is in its original condition and dates from 1840 to 1860. The three drawers are hand constructed and run on individual rails with their original turned metal and wooden handles and tiny metal escutcheons. The four'bun' feet are original and still tightly attached. The front of the chest is decorated with a pair of classically designed. Carved wooden pillars with deeply engraved geometric lines. Time earned colours and patina, and the quality of the build, make this one of the best examples of its type. This is maybe the first time it has seen the market in 150 years. There is an old nick out of the top slab but to be honest it is in character with the look of a period piece and in no way detracts. Most likely for a doll house but could be a salesman sample based on the quality scroll work on the drawer faces. This piece was all hand made and put together with nails. Each drawer has wonderful flowing design of acanthus leaves pressed into the face. Each drawer also has great wooden pulls. Based on the 2 holes in the back of the top this most likely had a mirror. Condition wise the is in very good shape for it's age. The drawers all ... moreslide open smooothly and fit nicely into the case. As mentioned there are two holes in the top that held a mirror which unfortunately I do not have. These could easily be filled with oak plugs or covered with a nice runner. The left side does have what appears to be a piece that started to tear out of the wood right along the grain. I think this was a flaw in the wood as the piece is only separated down about 1/2" and is solid below that and tight against the side. The nail at the bottom is not holding it on. That nail is holding the side to the rail. The top drawer bottom does have a piece that has separated but has been glued back on and is tight. The bottom drawer has piece that came off the side but this can easily be glued back on. This does have a few old worm holes in the middle drawer front and the back but no evidence any recent activity. Please see my photos for clarity and ask questions if you have any other concerns. a lot of work has gone into this little chest. 13 inch wide, and over 10 inch tall, its completely covered in inlay decoration, the extra top has some time been screwed down to the main top, which has a replacement strip through the middle of the top, the hinges on the door are not original, and some missing bits from the locking metal parts, there is a little knob to slide to enable the bar to move into the housing to keep shut, this needs a little wobbling to find the slot but does work, there would have been side carry handles on the box, ive taken as many pics as i could, please judge yourself, a nice very useful piece

This mahogany Scottish chest of drawers is an impressive and beautiful piece of furniture. With six spacious drawers, all constructed with hand cut dovetails, this dresser boasts an impressive amount of storage space. The drawer configuration is a two over three graduated drawer configuration with a secret drawer just above the two small drawers at the top of the chest. The ... moredrawers are adorned with Victorian style glass knobs that contrast very nicely with the mahogany of the drawer fronts. There are two beautiful bobbin twist columns going up the sides of the chest giving that true Scottish look to the piece. There are locks with beautiful brass escutcheons, but no key. Perhaps one of the more distinguishing features of this antique Scottish dresser is the fact that it is bow fronted. Finding a bow front Scottish chest with such beautiful barley twist columns is very unusual! This Scottish chest has an abundance of storage space and is an impressive size. It is also in very good condition. There are very few issues which is great from an antique chest of drawers of this age. As shown in one of the pictures. The right bobbin twist column has a small missing section on the back of it at the top. On the left and right sides of the plinth base are some minor age separations. The top and both sides also have a filled in age separation. This tends to happen on solid wood pieces and is purely cosmetic, not structural. This piece measures approximately 33’h x 41.25’l x 20.25’d. It is in good vintage condition with the exception of slight scratches and normal wear consistent with its age. Two drawers in the top with serpentine fronts over a section of 3 drawers with leafy carved corbels on either side and a single drawer in the base which stands on turned feet. Made of walnut burl wood which was the most decorative veneer used in the period and much sought after and considered a"prized possession" It also features a masterful intricate marquetry design. The wood is either mahogany or walnut. Chest has very nice carved feet front and back with bowed top as well as bowed front. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. C. 1790-1810; back of case signed"W G Roberts, Rockville, MD" With extensive restoration(feet. Backboards, hardware replaced) Item# 120104EEQ15 A very attractive and charming chest of drawers. The form is striking with it's clean symmetry and airy lines, the bowing of the front accentuated by the fine flare of the feet. This chest has seen some noteworthy restoration over the years, so while it is not an ideal selection for the purist, it is a very handsome object for most collectors and those that just enjoy a beautiful piece for what it is. At some point, someone reduced the height of the feet, probably as it was just slightly too high for either the ... morespace or the owner- this was restored by crafting new facings, the original blocking still retained inside of the feet. It is the only proper way to restore that kind of unfortunate decision, and the result is actually quite wonderful- the feet have life and blend flawlessly with the case. The back of the case is signed in pitch"W G Roberts, Rockville, MD" this then outlined in chalk(presumably by a later owner) but we are not certain the backboards are original to the case as there is evidence of mid-19th Century craftsmanship on at least one of the boards. The case enjoys the highly recognizable Maryland diamond inlay around the base. For the collector or anyone passionate about American antiques and furniture who doesn't require total untouched originality in objects of their collection. The restoration of this chest of drawers is honest and necessary in light of life and use. It is a beautiful chest, the surface early and with great character, while also being a highly functional piece with smooth sliding graduated drawers. 53560 ANTIQUE 1830s FLAME MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS W CARVED CLAW FEET & PILLARS
A very fine antique. Circa 1830's, Empire style solid and flame veneered mahogany tall chest of drawers. There are two bowed drawers over five graduated drawers. All retain their locks, five brass key holes(two brass missing) and twelve original brass bail pulls. The case is on front carved claw feet supporting tapered full found pillars having flame mahogany veneer, with carved capitols, and squared carved rosettes above. The drawer fronts are butterflied flame mahogany veneers, the drawer interiors in maple. The drawer undersides are chamfered. The solid mahogany case sides have recessed mahogany panels. Chest measures 58-1/4" tall by 45" wide by 24" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, some chipping to claw feet, minor veneer chips at top edge of two long drawers. Top two boards without cracks or ring spots.

Antique Oak Chest of Drawers Quarter sawn oak serpentine front highboy in original finish with a northwind or greenman face carved between the two top drawers. Great condition with a super set of original cast brass hardware. Dimensions: 49 1/4" tall x 38" wide x 21 1/4" deep. Condition: Has normal wear marks. One end has a few paint splatters. Finish is far from perfect but still looks decent. Overall very good condition piece of furniture. See pictures. Delivery arrangements are the buyers responsibility. Pick up is preferred. Antique Cherry 1800's? Chest of drawers (3 drawers)
Beautiful Cherry chest of drawers with wood inlay around drawer locks. This piece has turned feet and is a great size for a smaller room. Hard to find a chest this old in this condition. I'm not an expert but believe this piece to be from the early 1800's(judge for yourself from the pictures) Dimensions are 36" high. 15 1/4" deep and 36" wide. Please see other nice antiques listed. Antique Mahogany Chest of Drawers, owned by the late Theadora Van Runkle.
Mahogany Chest with intricate vase and flowers inlay on top. All four legs are hand carved Gryphons. Chest was made to sit in the middle of the room. One side has intricate hand carved drawer faces, the other side has fairly plain faux drawers. This is a truly unique piece of furniture. Was owned by the late Theadora Van Runkle. A self-taught costume designer who earned an Oscar nomination for her first picture, and whose signature outfit for Faye Dunaway’s Bonnie Parker— beret, calf-length skirt and sweater— ignited a fashion trend on the film’s release in 1967. Antique Vintage Hand Painted Dollhouse Dresser Chest of Drawers Floral
Up for auction is a very pretty dresser with hand painted flowers. Paint has a chalky look to it(no varnish. The sides and back are blue. While the drawers and top are cream colored with pink and red roses, blue flowers, and orange and yellow flowers. It has a shabby feel to it. Size: 4-5/8" tall X 7-3/4" wide X 3" deep Condition: The chest is in good condition but there is a lot of paint loss. Most noticeably on the front of the drawers. Please look at all pictures. Vintage Antique Chest of Drawers Vanity Miniature Dollhouse Mirror Dresser
Up for auction is a lovely little chest of drawers or vanity with an attached mirror for a dollhouse. The mirror has wooden detailing around it. The sides have scalloping. There are thee drawers which open, and all 4 legs have detailing also. The actual color is probably closest to the first picture. The varnish gives it a glossy finish. Great little piece!
