Vtg Pendleton Wool Blanket w 1921 Tag/Antique Heavy Trade Blanket/Bright Colors
Vintage wool blanket with Pendleton Tag. Vintage wool blanket or throw measures approximately 60" x 51" not including short fringe which goes around entire blanket. Made using vibrant and unusual dark and light colors woven into a Western Americana pattern. Pendleton tag is faded. But I could make out the words"Warranted, Pendleton Woolen Mills, and"Copyright 1921. Worn blanket has a few holes(largest shown with a nickle next to them in photographs above) What I would guess are moth bites, nips or small wear spots, stains, uneven worn fringe, and dyes that have bled onto other areas of blanket. ANTIQUE 19TH C. COARSE HOMESPUN WHITE WOOL BLANKET, CENTER SEAM, NR
This antique 19th C. white wool homespun blanket is made with a coarse wool. There is a center seam. And a top and bottom hem, both of which are neatly hand stitched. The blanket measures 50" selvedge to selvedge, and 80" long. There is one area that has been darned, and one area that has two small tears(1/4" and 3/4" as shown in the photos. The color is off-white, which is better shown in the close-ups. It is a medium weight blanket, and the texture and feel of this blanket just scream a true homespun survivor from the 19th century. It is being sold as is, and there is no reserve. Thanks for looking.

Antique 19th c. Hand Stitched Heavy Sleigh/Carriage Blanket Lap Robe
For your bidding is an antique 19th century sleigh/carriage blanket/lap robe. The blanket measures 52 x 66. The center of the blanket is 30 hand stitched squares made from brocade and velvet flocked drapery fabric(each of the 30 are a different fabric. One more beautiful than the other) The outer edge is a black velvet 7 1/2" around the outside. The entire blanket has orange tie strings. The back of the blanket is a black cotton that also finishes the edge of the blanket(also hand stitched) The blanket is in wonderful condition front and back. There is only one brocade block that has some fraying which I have shown in the pictures. This is truly a one of a kind. The backside is solid black. Measures 51" x 57" Very Good Vintage Condition. This came with an old Storres. Ohio Sleigh that the National carraige museum dated back to 1887 for us. It had been wrapped and sealed tight in plastic and was under the seat. We didn't even realize it was there till we got the sleigh home. Has a few random horsehair probably from the horse that pulled the sleigh? There is a small 3" edge seam that could stand to be retacked. It’s a wonderful shade of buttery brown and the stripes are a creamy buttermilk white…Just an amazing blanket! One edge has been tacked down. And one is just kind of raw. It’s in overall very good condition- the fabric is think and heavy and strong! This example of a Antique Chevron bead has a interesting past. This fine Venetian craftsmanship started some 100 years ago. The glass that this bead was made of dates to the Society Veneziana Conterie. This Consortium of 16 Venetian Bead makers joined together for Murano's huge bead making business from 1898-1992. This glass Chevron cane has been stored for decades. The Antique colors are much different than todays colors. Each cane we cut into has its own unique features. The Howard family acquired the last large remaining stock some 3500 lbs in 2013. You are getting a piece of history started by Venetian masters and hand finished today by the Howard family. The basic color of the blanket is grey. It has 3 ¾” strips which are black. Yellow, red and green. The blanket is in good condition. We could not find any tears or rips. We did find some areas where the wool is gone off the surface and it shows the threads. We found one little 3/16” round stain. The blanket is very clean. We have not slept under it but we took the photos of it on the top of the bed so we would not have to lay it on the floor. It also does not have any odor other than the natural wool. Offered here is a gorgeous Indian type blanket that displays well with many decorating styles. I have owned it for more than 20 years. Prior to that it belonged to an aunt of ours who died in her mid nineties and who had many antiques of fine quality. There is a silk label that can no longer be read. It appears to be a black label with bright yellow lettering. The colors of the blanket are red. Burgundy, deep brown, beige, and flannel grey. The edges have a plain machine stitched edge. Edges show some careful mending in a couple of places. There is a photo of one part of the edge that needs restitching. No holes or stains. For your consideration is this beautiful Chase antique horsehair lap robe. These lap blankets were used when riding in a buggy. Sleigh, or horse carriage to keep the cold wind out. On one side are 7 hunting dogs jumping over a fence with a bugle in the lower corners of the blanket-shades of browns with a burgundy border on the 2 sides. Antique Pine Wooden Dovetailed Blanket Chest or Kindling Box * Footed Base
Here we have a stunning antique wooden dovetailed blanket chest or kindling box. with a footed base and large square nails. circa 1890 to 1920. the overall size is 19 inches long by 12 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall. the overhanging lid is 20 1/2 inches long by 14 inches wide. the feet are one inch tall. the large hand cut dovetails are tight and secure. But stunning as well. large square head nails. this is what draws you to it. the wood looks to be knotty pine. it has formed a wonderful golden patina on the overall appearance. there are two brass hinges securing the lid. the hinges are not old. there are no cracks or hairlines, but does show some scratches in the wood. the footed base may have been replaced at some time, but still looks great. see plenty of detailed photos.
