Beautiful Victorian Opaline rose bowl basket w/ a applied twisted whimsy handle& applied leaf& flower vine. Rim of bowl also has a applied trim. The basket has a old paper inside which states Grandmother Hoard's wedding present 1864(probably similar to brides bank or basket) 9" tall' 6" diameter bowl. Unmarked; polished pontil mark. Looks like English- Stevens& Williams. No cracks or repairs- but each flower has one broken petal(see photos) The piece displays wonderfully- Thank you for looking! Antique Victorian Jefferson Glass Opalescent Three Footed Bowl in Jefferson Wheel Pattern circa 1905-1915 This beautiful 3 Footed bowl was produced by the Jefferson Glass Company. Stubenville, OH from 1905 to 1915 in the“Jefferson Wheel” pattern. It measures approximately 9” in diameter across the ribbon crimped top, is about 3” high and sits atop 3 U-shaped feet. One of the feet has a crack which I tried to show in the photos. This is barely noticeable and does not detract from the beauty and displayability of this piece. This footed and slope-sided bowl was sometimes referred to as a"Calling Card Receiver" It is a rare and stunning example of early Jefferson Glass opalescent pieces. The entire unit measures 8" tall by 8 and 1/4" across at the top section of the glass. The details on the glass are amazing. The bottom brass metal section has great details. The metal appears to be brass however I am uncertain of the exact metal it is made from. This unit is in good condition with no breaks, chips, or repairs present. Robin's Egg" Blue Art Glass Rose Bowl Heavily Enameled Satin Glass Quite pretty Satin Glass Victorian Rose Bowl in a lovely"Robin's Egg" blue with heavily enameled floral design that goes all around about 2/3 of the upper portion of the bowl. Part of the floral design is a soft orange that fades into a softer beig e shade as it goes aroun d the bowl. Measures 4 1/2" h igh and almost 6" wide. Ground pontil on the b ottom. Satin finish both inside and out. Has 8 well formed crimps at top of bowl. Maker unknown. There are some thin gr ay pencil looking marks on the lower portion that I've never tried to clean off. There are a few scratches on the bottom or underside from normal use. Bottom has a very nice 1-3/16 inch diameter polished pontil. Measures 2-1/2" tall with a 5-1/2" diameter rim. HERE IS A VICTORIAN MALING BOWL. IT WAS PROBABLY USED TO HOLD A PLANT POT AND IT BEARS THE OLD TRIANGLE MARK WITH THE LETTERS C.T.M. ENCLOSED AND THE WORDS"TRADE MARK" EITHER SIDE OF THE TRINAGLE( SEE PICTURE 2) THERE IS ALSO A PART No S4245 AND THE WORD"ENGLAND. THE BASE OF THE BOWL HAS WORN OVER TIME AND SHOWS ITS AGE WELL. Shaded Blue Opaline Opalescent Enameled Victorian Blown Glass Brides Bowl Basket
This is a lovely piece of Victorian art glass. I believe it is a bride's bowl or the insert to a small bride's basket. It is in opaline or opalescent glass that is mostly opaque white in the center. But then shades to a very blue and transparent edge treatment. The inside of this bowl has a lot of the blue especially out close to the pure blue edge, but the outside or bottom is mostly just pure white until you reach the transparent blue edge. It is hand decorated in an enameled floral design and has an image of a walking couple in the very center. That image has suffered a lot of wear and is a little faint, but you can still make out the very old attire of the man. His clothing actually looks older that Victorian. It looks more like Colonial American era, so this piece was probably made in the late 19th century and was designed to ... morework on their romantic nostalgia for earlier times. The bowl measures about 6" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is a blown piece of glass, and has a pontil on bottom. It has a stepped foot with straight sides, and I think was meant to fit down into the silver-plate ring of a Basket. i wish I had the metal part too, but the glass insert is all I have. It is in excellent condition. I picked up several pieces of nice Victorian art glass lately from the home of a dealer. I am selling them in other auctions. You should look at them too.

There is a chip and a crack on the inside lid of the tooth brush holder and a chip on the soap dish. This dresser set has a lovely delicate floral design with pink or coral floral sprays with gold trim. The set includes a Pitcher and Bowl. Chamber Pot, Toothbrush Holder and Soap Dish. Fantastic Victorian brass small dish on figural lions lattice work bowl marked I have had this little dish held back hoping to find something out about it but no such luck. What I do know is that is a small dish made of brass. It is very detailed with roses and other flowers around the rim and 3 figural lions for feet. It is marked but I haven't been able to find the markings online. It would be great if someone knows anything about this and would be willing to share. This measures app. 3 1/2" in diameter and is 1 3/4" tall. I don't see any broken or repaired areas but the rim is uneven/bent in a few areas. I haven't attempted to straighten and I haven't polished. This Antique Majolica Berry Bowl Set is Very Rare and Dates to Approximately 1878-1883 and was produced by the Hampshire Pottery Company of Keene. NH founded by James Taft in 1871. The set consists of a master bowl and 6 individual bowls all in a shell form. The colors are beautiful and the bowls are delicate. The dimensions of the large bowl are approximately 10 1/4" x 10 1/2" and 4 1/2" tall. The smaller bowls measure approximately 4 3/4" x 4 7/8" and 1 7/8" tall. Four of the small bowls are signed on the underside J. S. T. Co. The remaining bowls are not signed. The master ... morebowl has a 1 1/4" tight hairline and a small pinhole in the bottom inside. All the bowls exhibit crazing which is darkened. Some interior discoloration, some minor small scratches to the outside finish, and some firing pinholes. Wonderful Victorian W. H. Grindley Creamer & Sugar Bowl Set - NICE! 1896
Up for auction is this TERRIFIC old W. H. Grindley creamer and open sugar bowl set made from semi-porcelain. Based on research of the maker's mark on the bottom of these pieces. They date from between 1892 and 1914. Based on the registration number indicated, the decoration design for these pieces were first registered in 1896. The pieces were likely made about 1896-1898 or so, which places them in the Victorian era. Condition is good for semi-porcelain that is about 110-115 yrs old. No repairs. Incredibly. I can't find any signs of crazing! Seems like this set may have been kept in a china cupboard for much of their life. Creamer has a small chip at foot of the piece, 3/4 of an inch long- but no other chips and no cracks. The chip is somewhat visible in first two photos. Not very noticeable, but it is there. Sugar bowl has a hairline ... morecrack running about 3 inches long at bottom and center of one side, but no other cracks and no chips. Paint decoration is good on both pieces. Some rubbing off of gold paint at rims and handle, but normal for items of this age. Overall, would rate condition as good for both pieces, especially considering the age. If you like to collect old pottery and porcelain. This set is a real find. Good age to it and pretty decorations. Nice flowers. Different on each panel and for each piece. Northwood Victorian "Fine Cut and Roses" Footed Rose Bowl VERY UNUSUAL COLOR
This Northwood pattern is one that was obtained from Jefferson Glass when it went out of business in 1907. This pattern Northwood changed into carnival glass. The color of the bowl is Gunmetal Gray with Amber which makes a gorgeous combination. The color itself makes the piece rare and I have not seen another piece with this color. The interior is smooth with the base signed Northwood. The top is crimpted and the bowl stands 4 1/2" in height and stands on 3 feet. This wonderful rose bowl is in perfect mint condition. Hand blown leaded crystal. The glossy surface is unusual for these rose bowls(means that it somehow skipped the acid bath process which produces the satin finish) No signature or label. This shape rose bowl made by Mt Washington Glass USA, Thomas Webb in England, and Bohemia. Nearly impossible to establish an attribution. Has two manufacturing flaws on side where two bubbles form in the glass, otherwise condition- very good to excellent(see condition category item 2& 3 below) no chips, cracks, or cloudiness. 1. The bowl measures 5 3/4" high and 7 1/2" in diameter. The Bowl is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. The pedestal needs a bit of polish if you prefer it to be bright and silvery. The bowl was made in England circa 1880- 1900 and measures 10 1/4 inches in diameter, 4 7/8 inches in base diameter and 3 1/2 inches in height. It is composed of a base of white opaque glass(milk glass) with a thin layer of green glass cased with crystal glass. It has a finely ground pontil. The item is in excellent shape and has no damage. Here is a Vintage Victorian Hair Receiver and Trinket Bowl in Vaseline Glass with possibly Bakelite Lids. The hair receiver is 2 3/8" tall with the lid and 2 1/4" tall without the lid by 3 1/2" across the top opening by 3 1/4" across the bottom by 4 1/2" across the widest area. The lid has a victorian pink pearl look with a floral look and the opening were you pot the hair is 3/4" across. The trinket holder has the same measurment and as seen in photo's it is vaseline glass as shown with a black light. Vaseline glass is glass which has had. Usually in oxide form. Added to a glass mix before melting. The proportion usually varies from trace levels to about 2% by weight uranium, although some 20th-century pieces were made with up to 25% uranium. The term is sometimes carelessly applied to other types of glass ... morebased on certain aspects of their superficial appearance in normal light. The underlying color is a whisper pink with a clear layer over it. It would make a wonderful insert for a metal bride's basket. Or on its own as a console or occasional bowl. Probably produced by Stevens and Williams in England. This pattern may also be refered to as"Jewel Glass.
