Up for bid is this very unique Art Deco style baby grand by Story and Clark. THis is a American made piano that was originally built in the mid 1930's and restored in the 1980's. The piano is a beautiful curly maple finish and features perfect NON PLASTIC keytops. This baby grand measures 4'5" deep. It has a wonderful warm tone and plays excellent. The pinblock is nice and solid and the piano holds tune perfectly. The piano does not come with a bench. This was an extremely rare model and only about 12 of these were produced at the time. Mirror is from the mid 1930's. The mirror was purchased about 14 years ago at the San Francisco Art Deco fair. Some water marks behind blue on mirror as shown in pictures. The matching electric sconces are not antique but were beautifully paint matched and ARE included in the price. The mirror is 38" wide by 29" tall and weighs approx 50 pounds. Set of TEN arrow design art deco curtain rods and spare parts. They measure 15" when closed and 22" when extended. I've included curtain rings as well. Some of which are original to this set, some not. I am also including another pair of curtain rods(though one is missing the arm) and a few spare mounting brackets which I figure someone could use for parts. It will also need re-wiring. At the end of the chain link there is another piece that would screw into something. I'm guessing your ceiling mount. What I have been told is a VERY early Dr. Ziegler Head mirror/ reflector. The only markings on it are"PAT APLD FOR" which I have understood to mean"Patent Applied For" Supposedly this would have been early enough to not even have the patent number and/or date. Absolutely beautiful with a very natural patina. I have never polished. Deoxidized or cleaned the piece. I am by no means a photographer and I can tell you the pictures do not remotely do this justice. The mirror has the peep hole ... morefor your eye and the mirror is completely adjustable with the brass clamp and balls. I have not seen another with a nose rest. It seems as though the later ones were built with a larger pad on the forehead and eliminated the nose rest. All the construction appears to be painted brass other than the buckle for the strap. The shell shade is carved with an Italian scene of trees. Water and what seems to be Mt. Vesuvius erupting. There is a thin brass base to the shell which is cemented? onto the wooden base. The old, and electric taped, cord comes out the back of the base. There is no plug on the end of the cord. It needs a new cord. The lamp stands 6 inches(15 cm) high and the wooden base is 3-1/8 inches(7.8 cm) across the widest part of the bottom. It is possible that the shade is older than the base. Wolfgang Hoffman - Howell Style art deco chrome occasional table MCM Industrial
Dimensions- Height 22" Width- 24" Depth- 12" Wolfgang Hoffman- Howell Style half circle. Two tier occasional table, in the rough. There are no identifying marks of maker or designer. I have not been able to find this exact table, with the single strap steel at bottom. All of the examples I have found, that closely match this table, are attributed to Hoffman and/ or The Howell Co. Hoffman did do some work before joining Howell, in the 1930's. I can not definitively say this is a Hoffman, but in the"style of" Sometimes spelled Hoffmann. The condition is. What it is, a restoration project or an"idea" pattern for a project. The chrome is pealing throughout and the iron is rusting and has pitting. The redemptive quality, for an item that has been in a out building for 50+ years, is the soundness of strap ... moreand tube iron The strap iron is sound with no trauma or bending or weak points. The tube iron has no denting or trauma. There is more pronounced pitting at lowest run of tubing. At top and bottom, lower left picture#2, lower left picture#5, 6 and face of arch bend# 7. There are no rust through points. A screw driver or awl will not penetrate pits, using arm power, I did not use a hammer. The wood is shot and a big portion of second shelf is missing. Almost all of the screw holes in wood are wollered out. And do not hold, I have shoved them in as pins for pictures. The top is constructed of 3/32" laminate over a butcher block style body. Total thickness is 1" The shelf is a little over 5/8" and was one board. Fine grained, like poplar or maple. The two metal screws and threads. And rail receiving threads, are in good shape and fasten properly. Screws pictured. Are original to the piece. The screws. That attach the mounting strap steel, at top of tube leg, are frozen. I made one attempt to unscrew and decided to leave alone, slots are still crisp. Picture#10. Mid century modern. Industrial age.

It includes all the original components: coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, and matching tray. Each piece is stamped with the company name and maker’s mark. The wood is a rich macassar ebony. The tea set was manufactured in the 1930s by the Ercuis silver works in France. Ercuis. Which still exists today, has produced fine silver objects since the 1890s. This heavy, meticulously-crafted silver plate is comparable in quality and design to the art deco creations of Christofle. Total weight is 11 lbs 4 oz. Broken down as follows: Tray. 5 lb 14 oz. Art Deco CI/Glass Table
This Art Deco table is solid cast iron with the original silver paint/finish. The paint is in very good condition with wear consistent with the appropriate use and age. The stretcher base pieces to the legs are tight and sturdy. There is a nice pineapple finial in the center of these stretcher pieces(picture 5) The glass top is in great condition with no breaks or cracks. The etched painted design in the center of the glass is in good found orginal condition. The entire piece appears to be free of any repairs. Breaks, or missing parts.
