This beautiful Hand Blown Vintage/Antique? Brides Basket is wonderful. The Silverplate Basket is by James W. Tufts. Boston, Warranted Quadrupleplate with a Floral Top Pattern and Twisted Handle. The Flower pattern on the top is followed thru on the feet of the basket. The Glass Basket itself is hand blown and has a nice smooth ground pontil. Crimped edge was probably hand crimped. The Glass bowl is a Cherry color on top with a Flower and leaf design and white underside. Stands about 10" tall and the Glass Bowl is 10" in diameter at it's widest. Please note the two pictures of the edge. There is what I think is a place where maybe a bubble type thing burst when blowing or crimping. It is NOT a crack and does NOT go all the wya thru. Difficult to see as it is near the edge where the edge sections are clear or without color neither ... morewhite nor cherry. I do not know the maker of the glass bowl and not too good with these types of things just what I like. There are no other marks, no chips. A very nice old piece.

We are pleased to present this Victorian era Bride's Basket for your consideration. Made of Silverplate. The piece features an unusual Crowned Heads decoration around its ornate rim. The handle that once went over the top of this ... morepiece is missing(the holes where it connected are still visible) But the remaining Fruit Basket remains a charming and attention grabbing piece with a one-of-a-kind look. The Basket is 3-3/4 inches high and about 12-1/2 inches in diameter. Measured at the rim. The bottom of the base is 4-5/8 inches in diameter, and the Basket weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. There are two hand written marks etched into the finish. On the bottom, in the center, is what appears to be the numbers 247. To the side of the center section is another marking that reads Q5741. We have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this piece. The Basket has been polished and is quite shiny. But small areas of patina remain along with a few small spots of verdigris. Some light surface wear is found, but less than might be expected on a piece of this age. Other than the missing handle, there is no damage or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good(see pictures) This is a fantastic piece of Victorian Silverplate. The silver plating seems to be in very good condition, I'm not seeing evidence of much wear at all, very minimal& light surface scratching, nothing distracting. This auction is for a Fabulous Victorian Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set made by United State Pottery of East Liverpool. Ohio in the late 1800s or early 1900s. It is in the company's striking pattern known as Champion. The bottom f each piece is marked"Champion" in script. The set Displays Wonderfully and will instantly become the focal point of any room. The pitcher and bowl are decorated in a vivid red thistle like flower and leaf pattern against very white porcelain. The set is in very good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks in either piece. There is a small spot in the pitcher below the handle where the porcelain has flaked off(see last photo) There is also very faint straight line crazing mark(see photo 11) and a small tannish mark both near the base of the pitcher. A very good quality large Victorian sterling silver bowl. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1891 with the maker’s marks being HA for Henry Atkin. A good quality well respected firm. It has an unusual design having gadrooned sides with an embossed raised centre with flower like decoration. Its rim has been finely engraved with a honey bee which makes me suspect it may have been intended to hold honey. It is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the inside is faintly gilded. For sale is a small. Four-footed porcelain tea pot, richly decorated on both sides with a romantic Victorian garden courtship scene, and a sugar bowl, which has the Victorian scene on one side. Both have gold highlights and trim. The pot and bowl are 3.75 inches high at the rim. 5 inches at the top of their lids. The pot will hold about two cups of liquid. The sugar bowl carries the bottom mark for the set. It says"MADE IN JAPAN. Experts vary. But most likely both items were made in Occupied Japan in the late 1940s(see below) It is possible one or both were made between 1921 and 1940. THE SUGAR BOWL IS MISSING ITS LID. The garden scene shows a young man and woman. She in a pink gown and in the act of throwing a matching pink shawl over her beau's shoulders. Is this a scene from a Victorian romance novel? No chips, but some small loss of glaze on outside rim of bowl As to be expected, age appropriate surface scrapes inside of bowl. On bottom ring, on which bowl rests, a surface age stress crack(very minor) Bowl measures 13 5/8" across. 3 small pieces of green felt protect bottom ring. Both bowl and pitcher are marked J Heath. The pitcher has no chips or cracks and measures about 11 1/2" tall. It is marked on Lake Scenery. Bowl and pitcher look very similiar, but scenes are slightly different. Antique Victorian Hartford Silver Company Quadruple Plate 2033 Bowl
A hard to find very unique silverplate dish and so old! A beautiful antique quadruple silverplate dish number 2033 made by the Hartford Silver Co. The Hartford Silver Co. was in operation from 1822-1894 I am not sure where in those dates this particular piece falls but I am guessing it is in the late 1800's based on style. The bottom is marked Hartford Silver Co. Quadruple Plate and made in USA. I have not attempted to clean this. It is just the way I came across it. It has a bit of tarnish or patina on it but I am sure it would clean up nicely. It looks like it has a little wear on the silverplate up under the rim in a few spots and a scratch here and there. Under the leaves it appears that someone has cleaned it or some of the plating has worn off in small spots I am not a silver expert so I am not sure. There is a bit of white residue ... morehere and there on it that I suspect is the remnants of some sort of polish but I'm not sure; it does wipe off whatever it is. Please examine the photos as they offer the best description. The design is very unique and interesting. It has a woodland feel to it. Extremely sculptural and ornate. It is a twig and berry design with the rim of the dish having twigs all the way around; the handles are also made to look like twigs. On either side of each handle there is a set of leaves and berries. I can imagine a big bunch of bright red raspberries served in this beauty. It is a larger bowl. The bowl measures 7 1/2" in diameter and is 2 1/2" tall. Including the handles it is 9 1/2" wide. Shipping is to the U.S. only.

Unusual and sweet antique pressed glass. Brass and weighted(plaster? bottom pin tray or bowl. Might have been part of a fancy desk set too but I think more likely a jewelry container for a ladies dresser. NO DAMAGE to the glass but there are some faults of lines in the flat surface that were part of the manufacturing process which just gives it more character as part of it's age. No chips. No cracks, no repairs seen. No markings found. Brass is unpolished and has a few mild areas of tarnish. I have not cleaned or polished this. I don't see anything that should not polish up nicely if that is what the new owner would like to do. Heavy at 1.13 pounds unpacked weight. Reminiscent of the early RS Prussia china berry bowls sets. This set consists of a large 9-1/2" serving bowl and 4 individual 5-1/4" bowls. None of the pieces are marked with a manufacturer or artist signature.so I cannot say that it is RS Prussia. The bowls all carry the same pattern.a beautiful transfer pattern of roses and leave with touches of hand-painting along the edges of the roses. This same"touches of hand painting" are on the smaller bowls. As well as, the large bowl. ... moreThe roses are on a background of light-green and light brown. The interior edge work is also a transfer pattern of rich gold gilt Victorian-style flourishes. The largest bowl is in very nice condition with one small nick in the foot. But no other chips or cracks.and very few signs of wear. The gold gilt is all in great condition. Two of the smaller bowls have a nick(small chip) on the inside of their rim-foot. Two of the bowls also have spider cracks in the interior of their bases(as seen in the next to the final photo) There are also some white areas in the bottoms of the smaller bowls that may be from wear to the transfer patterns(see photos#4& 5) Be sure to enlarge these photos to see these small details. A very pretty and unusual Victorian open salt with handpainted pansy pottery bowl. The leaf shaped base is made from quality silver plate and comes complete with a cute pansy shaped spoon. We have been unable to identify the pottery manufacturer. Both the pottery bowl and silver plate have registration numbers as per photograph which date the piece to c.1890. The bowl measures approx. 2.25 inches(5.5 cms) diameter. Antique Victorian Copeland Black Transferware Large Sugar Bowl 1890
Antique Victorian large sugar bowl made in England by W.T. Copeland& Sons and dating to the 1890's. Lovely aesthetic transfer ware pattern with urn and flowers. There is no makers mark on the base but I have included photos of a saucer which matches this piece which has the Copeland mark. There are impressed letters and numbers on the base but I can't make them out. The sugar bowl measures 7" high and 6 1/2" from handle to handle. In very good condition with no cracks or crazing. There is a bit of roughness on the interior rim of the bowl and a chip on the interior rim of the lid. Not visible when the lid is on. Please view my other auctions for a matching coffee pot.

Vintage Victorian Garden Hummelwerk & COR Dogwood Pattern Vanity Tray & Bowl
This is a such a beautiful set. The bowl is 6 inches in diameter and not very deep. I am thinking cotton balls. The tray measures 15 inches long(from side to side) and 7" wide(from front to back. There are little handles on either side. Both pieces are trimmed in gold. The tray looks older to me and has"Victorian Garden Dogwood exclusively for COR" COR has a crown logo above it and is encircles. There also is a"Japan" sticker. The bowl has the same kind of"Japan" sticker on the bottom and the words" Victorian Garden exclusively by Hummelwerk Dogwood. It also has a sticker that warns this is not to be used for food. Both pieces are in mint condition. No cracks or chips. Really very nice. This Week I'm clearing out and have lots-tons!to list. Jewelry. Two cartouches are engraved in a diamond pattern, and there are two vacant cartouches. It stands on a round pedestal base decorated with a similar frieze of scrolls. Leaves and flowers. The inside of the bowl is gilded(gold-plated) and it has a detachable metal wire mesh[not shown in our picture] which sits just below the top rim. This is a very good size bowl. Victorian Silver Plate and Oak Salad Bowl and Servers
Remarkable piece of craftsmanship this antique wooden pedestal salad with silver plated fittings and a white ceramic liner. The bowl is in fantastic condition with no chips. Discoloration or repairs, it does have a faint crazing over the entire piece but this is due to the age of the piece, please see the picture. The oak wood bowl as 2 small( wood shrinkage) natural splits in the seam of the bowl where the pieces were put together and from research this is a common occurrence. The markers mark of B& W is on the side of the rim, please refer to the picture. The bowl comes complete with a pair of Victorian salad servers. The pictures with the following flaws are shown. They are 2 small nails are missing holding the symbol, one of the footings has oxidized, wood shrinkage. 1854 Antique Victorian Bohemian Cased Vaseline Hand Painted Glass Compote Bowl

Glass bowl is cased glass with opaque white on the exterior and satin vaseline on the interior which does glow a neon green. Lovely enamel geometeric motif is hand painted with silver and gold accents through out the interior of the bowl. The bowl has a pressed puffy scalloped rib/ panel and the rim is nice crimped with multiple ruffles. Along the edge of the crimped rim has a ribbon of satin crystal. The repousse base is stamped with a number 12. I do believe and it is stamped by hand with a name, possible provence, and date of 1854. The style of the hand written name. Etc. is done in dots( to form letters and numbers. Ludewig Barmese and 1854 is the only interpretation I could make out. The base is filled for weight ... moreand covered with old felt. Bohemian origin. Not signed. Believed to be attributed to Harrach. Condition of the glass: No visible chips. One teeny flake chip was found by touch along the underneath of the rim or deep folds. No hairline breaks or fading in the hand painted decor. Metal base is in excellent condition considering age. Has one dent at the bottom of the base and there is a hairline on the stem.
