The matching bowl is marked on the bottom with a crown. Wreath and shield and a name that I can't make out. I don't know who the maker is. The pitcher has some hand written numbers on the bottom. Size- the bowl measures 15 3/4" in diameter and is about 4 1/2" tall. The pitcher is about 10" high. Hello. You are viewing my auction for a Vintage Cut Glass Compote Or Candy Bowl With the Lid. This compote has a Marble and Brass metal Bottom. I am unsure of the exact type of metal it is. This glass compote has a Victorian style look to it. It has amazing details. This bowl measures with the base 14 and 1/4" tall by 6 and 3/4" wide by 6 and 3/4" long. It weighs 7.4 pounds. I am unsure of its age or where it was made. It reminds me of a an antique candy store bowl where candy was stored. This item is in good condition with some rough edges on the glass around the inner rim of the lid. There is also one very small chip on the top of the lid around the rim. There are no repairs present. The bottom glass section is in very good condition. Overall this is an amazing looking item that would be the center of attention in any cabinet ... moreor table. Victorian Era Brides Basket Bowl Yellow/Purple/White
This is a gorgeous Victorian era brides basket bowl. When you first look at this bowl the colors look like yellow and brown. However. Under a brighter light one can see the true dark purple highlights on this bright yellow background. The outside of this bowl is a brilliant white glass. The ruffled edge adds to the beauty of this piece. The condition is excellent. There aren't any chips, cracks, breaks or repairs noted. As with glass from this era, there are a few very minute black specks on the inside of the piece, near the bottom of the bowl. I attempted to show these in the photos. There are also a couple of very small air bubbles throughout the bowl but nothing that detracts from the overall great appearance of this bowl. The outside bottom of the bottom has a ground base. This is a very pretty antique Victorian Blue Milk Glass Sugar Bowl with Lid. The Spoon is a White Glass(not sure if it was original or not) The bowl measures about 5" x 3" x 3 1/2" The blue is sort of a slag glass with faint swirls in it. The base is in great shape. But the lid has a chip where the crude cut-out hole is for the spoon to go. Overall a really nice dainty Victorian glass piece. Large deep pressed glass bowl. This has the registered number 163075 which was registered by Greener in 1890. It has a hobnail and oval pattern around the bowl. The rim has a fan pattern effect and it sits on a foot with a star pattern. I think this is an unusual piece. Ideal as a trifle or fruit bowl. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This miniature Sterling Silver Tureen is a magnificent example of the pumpkin style and sophisticated approach the English Silver-Smiths expressed in these fine miniature doll house silver pieces. There are no serious scratches or breaks or repairs other than the present surface polishing marks from play and handling. The hall marks are on the bottom side and show sloppy striking by the maker as the whole impression is not revealed and the polishing makes it even more difficult to read. The makers logo initials show only half the mark and show[L] The center mark is I believe the[Lion Passant] for the English Sterling Silver mark. The last mark is the upper case letter[C] The interior of the bowl is plated in polished gold gilt. And is dulled from years of cleaning. The measurements are approx 3.5" to the edge of outer handles. 2.5" in outer bowl diameter, and is approx 1.5" high. ANTIQUE ~ CERAMIC ~ LIDDED– SUGAR BOWL EARLY VICTORIAN c1830/ 1840 HAND PAINTED ~ Good Condition ~ This auction is for an ANTIQUE– CERAMIC- LIDDED- SUGAR BOWL. Which dates to the early Victorian Era c1830/1840. It has been finely and beautifully HAND DECORATED with a floral design in pea green colour and with gilded highlights. It has scrolled shell design handles to each side and a gilded knob finial to the top of the lid. It was originally produced in two halves and has a seam line to the sides. The base has a hand painted number– 1663– which is probably a pattern number. This pretty sugar bowl measures 7.1/2 inches across x 5.1/4 inches high to the top of the finial.
