Wall hangings, etc. I believe they are constructed of rosewood, but I am not an expert when ... moreit comes to identifying wood. They look to have the same color and patina as other rosewood pieces offered on eBay. I am not sure how old they are but they definitely old. I will have to leave all those specifics up to those with more knowledge than I. Although the panels are the same scene. The ducks face in opposite directions as you can see from reviewing the first image in the gallery. In addition, the little sunrise motif at the bottom center of each are just a little different. Please be sure and make use of the zoom tool provided to see greater detail on these lovely pieces. The images of both male and female duck swimming peacefully along in a stream or pond are captivating and serene. In my opinion they are quality in workmanship and the design is well balanced with all the other little extras carved into the scene. I did not stain them. But I did use Howard's Bees Wax on them to bring out the beauty of the wood and the richness of the patina without damaging it. Each measure approximately 21-1/2" long, 12-5/8" tall, and 1-1/2" thick. The last picture is an image of the back which is paper that looks to be stained or painted to make it look like wood grain. As for condition: There is age appropriate wear with some dings here and there on the outer frames and some gold gilt loss. That being said. I would give them an overall very good+ condition for their age. Please feel free to write with any questions you may have or if you wish to share your knowledge. Antique WW2 Carlsberg Brewery. Denmark- Royal Porcelain. Denmark Plaque with Swastika. Carlsberg used the swastika as a mark until about 1939-40. Also ear of barley is painted on the plaque, one of the main ingredients in brewing. The stamp on the backside of the plaque reads Denmark 411 and 3 waves in a circle. Antique porcelain plaque with a gilt wood frame. The plaque is 11" in diameter and is hand painted. It is a depiction of Thumann's classic Kunst Bringt Gunst or Art Brings Heart. It shows a young lady admiring the artistic ability of a young man painting a vase. His artistic side is winning her heart. The painting is signed"Ulmer" an unidentified porcelain artist whose work is highly respected and sought after. Close inspection of the fine quality of his works makes clear why this is the case. The gilt wood frame is 14" in diameter. The back of the plaque has an impressed mark I cannot identify. It has" Austria" and"Kunst Bringt Gunst" painted on the back. This plaque was made circa 1900. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing or wear. The plaque is in very good condition ... morebut does have one crack. Antique Handpainted Portrait on Porcelain Plaque in Gilt Gesso Frame - c.1890
Here is a beautiful Handpainted Portrait Plaque in the original Gilt Gesso Frame. It is unmarked and dates to c. 1890. The frame is very ornate. The gilding looks a bit dull and dusty and there is a line at the bottom of the oval part that looks like an age separation in the wood or gesso. Unsure if it has been regilt somewhere along its life. Unsure if there is a curly cue missing from the right side of the frame because it doesnt really look symmetrical. The handpainted portrait on porcelain looks to be of some saint. Unsure who. The back of the porcelain has some tape remnants and pencil writing. It probably originally had something covering the back. There is a little loop at the back of the frame so you can hang the portrait. A gorgeous antique bone china hand painted plaque by Coalport. A named view of Chee Tor on the river Wye Derbyshire. This wonderful plaque painted in camaieu by Joseph Birbeck of cattle in the Derbyshire valley. It sits in a gold frame with a gold mount probably not the original frame. The plaque measures 180 mm/ 7 inches in diameter. The frame measures 270 mm/ 10.5 inches square. I have removed the back of the frame to reveal the old sticker reading Painted by J Birbeck Coalport. This is probably Joseph Birbeck Junior. Son of Joseph Birbeck, who was a landscape painter born in Coalport Shropshire in 1855. He trained at Coalport and was at one time the paint shop foreman he was noted for painting fine landscapes after Turner. A wonderful item a great collectors piece. Thank you for looking.

T&V Antique Porcelain Portrait Plaque Painting BOEHM signed Limoges France
This antique porcelain painting has been in our family for many decades. I don't know much about it. But it is signed Boehm. I believe this was Henry Richard Boehm, a New York artist that committed suicide at the age of 44.see below for more info on the artist. I didn't even realize it was signed until today when I pulled the tile out to photograph the back. I don't know if this was a private painting or done of someone famous. The painting is really well done. I took some close-ups and angles so you could see the paint. There is beaded paint on the pearls of her scarf. The porcelain blank was from T&V in Limoges. France and measures about 6" x 4" With the frame measuring roughly 8" x 6" The frame has a delicate metal(brass? edging built into it, which appears original. It should be noted that the upper ... moreleft corner appears to have a small piece of that edging missing(see close-ups) Henry Richard Boehm(1870- 1914) 1870- 1914(suicide) by 1905 had moved to New York. He lived in Briarcliff Manor. New York, in Westchester County near Ossining. He is listed in the 1910 NY Census with his wife and adopted daughter. He was an artist of some note whose work appeared on the covers and inside several magazine like COSMOPOLITAN, LESLIE'S WEEKLY, PEARSON'S, and LADIES' WORLD. He received strong praise from the editors of COSMOPOLITAN who claimed to have"discovered" Boehm. Despite this apparent success, he committed suicide on February 1, 1914.

There is also a number stamped on the back, 1823, but i believe that is a model or catalogue number as opposed to a date as the symbol used that year was a three lobed leaf. It has the KPM mark with scepter above it, and has a capital'H' and a capital'C' below. The words on the plaque are in Italian and tranlated means My house always be blessed. There is a name beautifull inscribed: Ricoedo Di Rimini. It is Shaped into a beautiful home hearth. The gathering place that was the heart of peoples home. It is quite detailed and beautifully done. There is a hint of bricks above the mantal. The mantel has an old fashioned"alladins lamp" oil lamp on it and a creamic plate. There is an oval seaport scene on the top. Casetta. Mia casetta sii sempre benedetta" is inscribed in fancy lettering and is centered between 2 accents of flowers. There are brick posts coming up the side and the hearth has a fire buring in it. Antique Victorian VOLKSTEDT LADY PUTTI Porcelain Plaque 19c German Bisque Figure This amazing high relief bisque plaque is attributed to Volkstedt German. Circa late 19th century. And features a classical maiden and her resting child. Made as part of a four seasons series. This one appears to be"A utumn" and has the mother and her child resting atop bales of hay. Excellent quality and attention to detail. One of the nicest plaques I have had the pleasure of listing. Approx. measurements of the plaque is 10 3/4" in diameter and approx. 2 1/2" deep. Excellent condition with minor age appropriate wear. The only thing I see that may be wrong, is the piec e she is holding in her hand. Is bit rough on bottom. From the photo of a similar one sold at Christie's(see note below) it looks like she is supposed to be holding a ... moresickle in her hand. It is not something you would not even notice unless you were looking at both plaques at same time. No other chips cracks or repairs. Colors are a bit brighter in photos than they are on actual plaque. Although unmarked. The plaque is definitely of German origin and most likely Volstedt. A complete set of 4 sold at auction at Christie's in 1998 for more than $4500 usd. The last photos is shown for reference only and shows the four plaques from Christie's. This stunning wall plaque was purchased in an antique store sellout. It carries a makers mark which cannot be clearly read even using 10x magnification but appears to be a sun with a line/scepter/spade through the middle of it. The back also has a clear pressed number"17" in the actual mold. The hand painted detail is like none that I have been able to research in viewing literally thousands of angels/putti's/plaques. But appears to be made in the 1800's. The plaque is 13 1/2" long x 10 1/2" W. NOT an antique appraiser or dealer. Not an expert- but a novice with glass. Most of my auction and sale items are older or antique glass items. I try my best to disclose any chips, or outstanding flaws and overall condition. Yes. I listed this last week and then stopped the auction. I had a storm of emails saying things about scratches, unremovable grime, on and on, it has NONE of these faults, the bit of grime deposit came right off, I had 4 offers but everyone seemed to want to offer less due to imagined condition issues, one similar to this also signed Wagner just sold for $1,250 online, not as pretty as this blue eyed lady with the blue ribbon. I am relisting and added some new photos, some pre clean photos are still there, it was just on the edge, a bit of cloudy, I cleaned it and it is perfect now, no cloudy at all, never had any damage, a couple dust spots are on new photos, This is the most beautiful piece, it is in excellent PLUS original condition, this is over 100 years old so not as the day it was made but close! Wonderful deep vibrent color, signed ... moreon the front with Wagner and on the reverse with the HUTSCHENREUTHER mark for 1904? not positive, found this info on Google) and the 15, this is the correct mark for the 3 1/2" by 2 3/4" oval plaques(which is how this measures) from the early time when they were producting the finest art, like KPM. This piece is straight out of an estate, EXCELLENT had a tiny bit of grime going around edge where the frame allowed it to build up, I cleaned with a very soft eraser, came off in a minute, I should not have listed until clean, but was afraid to damage! Basically sold unframed. It is sold along with the wood gesso insert that went into another frame I am sure, it has chips and losses, but it probably is original so I am adding it in, I would reframe.

KPM Porcelain Plaque - Signed circa 1910
This beautifully hand painted plaque/tile is signed. I cannot make out the artist's name. But the signature is located on the ladies red dress, partly on her shoulder. My camera was not able to capture the exquisite details of the feathered painted strokes. The colors are so very vibrant. I cannot be sure, but the portrait may be that of Marie Antoinette. I believe she has been painted on a KPM blank and was probably painted in Limoges circa 1910-1920. The tile measures 4 1/2"H x 3 3/8"W. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
