Vibrato" Paris france alto sax- SN 15563 with the letter'A' above it and the letter'C' below it. the sax has plenty of standard wear and tarnish. No real dings that i can find anywhere. i am not a player but it appears to be in nice shape structurally. the pads, i'm sure, are old, but appear intact, as far as a non-player can tell.the mouthpiece is generic and has standard wear.the neck needs new cork.the sax comes in a very nice newer gig bag with padding& compartments. there is no shoulder strap, and one of the shoulder strap clips on the case is broken off.very nice vintage saxophone, no idea if it will require any work, though i'm sure a tuneup would not hurt.

This is a very old ashtray. The restaurant was open in 1924 and was famous because of its view of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The restaurant closed in the 1960's. There are two very tiny chips on the underside that does not effect its use and can only be seen when the ashtray is turned over. Plea se refer to the photo for the condition. Selmer Paris S80 C* Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece - Great for Students and Beginners
Up for auction is a Selmer Paris S80 C* alto sax mouthpiece. This is the standard mouthpiece for students and beginners. And every band director out there recommends them. Mine did, and my sound improved drastically when I upgraded to this from the stock'piece that came with my student alto. It is very easy to play, and very easy to control(intonation-wise) These cost, what, $145 new? Here's a chance to get a used one for less than a quarter of that price. It has a small dent on the bite area. That is just from my teeth. And pretty common on used rubber'pieces. It doesn't affect the interior. It is also a little discolored, which is just something the rubber does as it gets played. There's some scientific reason for that. Also, the label is mostly worn off. You can check my feedback, which is 100% positive, so you can ... morebe confident that this is a Selmer Paris S80 C* If you look at it in the right glare, you can still see where the label would be. I would get a picture, but the camera on my phone is too choppy to see it. It does not include a ligature; Selmer Paris mouthpieces don't seem to come with ligatures. It's probably safe to assume that if you're buying this for your child. She/he is either in a school concert band, or taking private lessons. Either way, I'd highly recommend a Rovner Mark III ligature, as they are leagues ahead of the metal stock ligatures that come with most mouthpieces anyway. The Rovner Dark is also very good- it's cheaper, and it is the original Rovner ligature on which they built their name; I just prefer the Mark III myself now that I can tell the difference. This mouthpiece has been cleaned and is ready to play(minus the ligature. Of course)

Antique Old Paris Porcelain Reticulated Pedestal Bowl
A beautiful. Old Paris porcelain pedestal bowl complete with the original metal fittings that hold it together. Small hairline is only on the upper rim, and the second one is about 2" long next to it. I have tried to show these, but they are very faint. It is a 9" diameter bowl and stands 7 1/2" tall on its' pedestal. Please email any questions.

Antique Couesnon, Paris-Handmade Flute w/Gonet Headjoint-Overhauled-Big Tone!
Offered is a beautiful antique French flute dating from the early 1900's. The body and foot are by Couesnon and the headjoint by Gonet. I purchased the flute with this setup. The flute is all silver plated with a little plating wear on the foot and head tenons. The rest of the plating is intact. It is all handmade with soldered tone holes. Open hole, French pointed key cups and a C-foot. The stamp on the barrel reads: In banner) Universelle Exposition 1900 De Paris Hors Concours Membre Du Jury Couesnon& Cie. 94. Rue D'Ang oueme Paris(in emblem) Monopole 21323 Amedee Auguste Couesnon was the son-in-law of Gautrot Aine and took over the directorship of the factory in 1882. By 1888 he changed the name to Couesnon& Cie but still produced instruments using the stencil names of previous companies including Gautrot. By 1911 his firm ... moregrew to become the largest manufacturer of musical instruments in the world. Producing hundreds of models. The name MONOPOLE was only used on the highest quality professional instruments. They were also the most expensive in their catalog. Since there are no accurate serial number lists for the date of manufacture, it would be a hint that the year of"Exposition 1900" is stamped on the barrel. These instruments were also awarded at the Exposition of 1906. So perhaps this instrument was made between 1900 and 1906. Gonet was a woodwind instrument maker in Lyon, France, but little is known about his work. All is all the flute is in very good mechanical condition. No previous damage or bad repairs were noticed. It does still have the old fashioned pad screw washers that thread onto stems. And had the original white pads with white shellac when I received the instrument. Just cleaned and repadded in my shop using pro quality double skin treated pads. All new corks and felts. There were a few tiny dings, but the metal is so hard that it was too much trouble to remove them. So just left the 2 dings in the head and maybe 2 or 3 in the body. Tried to get them in the photos. Leblanc (Paris) Alto Clarinet, wood, mid-60's
Up for sale is a vintage Leblanc Paris wooden Eb alto clarinet(professional model) Serial# 8346. Year of manufacture is 1965. Overall good condition. Playable. I played on it very little, just recorded a soundtrack and played several gigs Keys and Bell. Has some wear on plateau keys. One small ding on the bell(see photos) Otherwise great condition, very easy action. Pads. At some point had pads replaced(not by me) Not the best way that could have been done(some glue traces can be seen) but it works. If I had to continue playing this instrument. I would only replace the register key pad because it can become sticky and not open right away(once you open it manually setting up the horn, it works fine throughout the session/ day) Neck. I bought it on Ebay and it came with the wrong neck(the shorter one that Leblanc started to produce right after ... more1965) I had that fixed by Michael Manning(Manning Custom Woodwinds. New York) by inserting an additional section into the neck. The clarinet plays in tune now. Mouthpiece that comes with this alto is the original one. The previous owner/ seller has stated that it was refaced(opened up a little) It play fine. But I got an excellent(probably the best) Walter Grabner alto clarinet mouthpiece that made this horn really project and speak(it is available for sale separately, please see my listings) Case. This alto clarinet comes in the original. Very compact burgundy hard case with the custom made Cavallaro case cover. The bottom line is that this is a nice PLAYBABLE vintage alto clarinet. Antique picture frame from the 1889 worlds fair held in Paris France. The picture is not included as it is my wife's great grandmother who never came to this country but stayed in Ireland her whole life. This frame has been stored in a trunk since the early 50's and I am not sure what it looked like when it was new so I do not know if it has a nice patina or the metal finish is that dark. The frame opening is 5 1/8th by 3 1/2 inches and the metal frame is non magnetic The Universal Exhibition of 1887 was a Worlds Fair held in Paris. France from 6 May to 31 October 1889. It was held during the year of the 100th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. An event traditionally considered as the symbol for the beginning of the French Revolution. The fair included a reconstruction of the Bastille and its surrounding neighborhood. Transport ... morearound the Exposition was partly provided by a 1.9 mi 2 ft 0 in gauge railway by Decauville. It was claimed that the railway carried 6.342,446 visitors in just six months of operation. The main symbol of the Fair was the Eiffel Tower. Which was completed in 1889, and served as the entrance arch to the Fair. The tower was constructed of wrought iron and was designed by Gustave Eiffel. The fair marked the first time that visitors were allowed to go onto the yet unfinished Eiffel Tower. Though not yet completed. Exhibition attendees were allowed to walk up to the second floor platform. Workers had worked through the night the day before the exhibition opened to complete the necessary construction needed to safely allow patrons to set foot upon the structure.
