This is a beautiful white porcelain ash tray from a small and very fine restaurant in Paris and it is a rare item. The restaurant is LA FERME SAINT SIMON and it is located on the little Rue Saint Simon in the 6th arrondissement.The ash tray is a perfect square measuring 3 3/4 inches by 3 3/4 inches and the name and address and phone number appear in elegant script. On the back you will see discreet mention of GF CREATION with a phone number. There is no damage at all and no signs of having been used. We would put little candies or lemon slices in it- and think about the wonderful meals that are served at LA FERME SAINT SIMON. Antique (Pair) Old Paris Porcelain Fan Shaped Vases in White/Green; 1900, Great
This pair of old Paris Porcelain vases is spectacular. The pair dates back to the very early 1900's. Made in Paris France. The design is exquisite, as is the coloring. Each vase has beautiful gold trim accents with a solid white back, and the front done in shamrock green and white. There is also a floral design in the middle of each, in pink, yellow, blue, and purple, with green leaves. The backs of the inside of each has a lovely gold swirl design. On the bottom, they are marked number 110. The vases present in very good condition. Despite their great age, they almost look perfect. The only flaw to be found anywhere, is on the bottom of one vase. It obviously can not be seen(see photo 5) and is not anything to consider troublesome or serious. There is no indication of the defect anywhere but the underside. I also must stress, that aside ... morefrom this they really look perfect. The 2 pieces weigh about 2 pounds, and stand approximately 6 and a 1/4 in tall. At the widest part they are 6 in wide, and the top opening is 5 in wide. These matching small vases are very special. They are strikingly beautiful, and have a commanding presence about them. Old Paris France is stunningly represented in the design of these pieces. These very handsome vases measure 16 ¾ inches or 42 cm high. And are 9 inches or 23 cm wide at the top rim. These beautiful vases have a light blue ground along the back and around the foot of the vases. The vases have large hand painted floral cartouches at the front and center flanked with hanging floral vines with heavy applied gold highlights. The top rims of the vases are flared with bas relief foliate designs in gold. The vases are done with excellent attention to detail and are very beautiful and stately. Antique Limoges Porcelain LCS Brevete SGDG Paris France Lip Stick Tube C1950s
This is an antique. Guessing from the 1950s, LCS Brevete' SGDG Paris, France, lip stick tube with a Limoges china inset on the back side of the mirror. The mirror pops up when the bottom of the tube is removed. If you look at the two pictures on the bottom of the closed tube, you can see it closed and the little latch that holds the mirror down when closed. There is some tarnish inside the bottom rim of the bottom tube and inside the tube. There is a little discoloration and tarnish on the inside of the long tube. The mirror edges are scalloped, not cracked or broken. There is some usual places on the mirror near the edges that show wear from underneath the mirror. The Limoges china is in very nice condition. For sale is a fancy reticulated basket made by one of the Paris region makers in the early 19th century. It is superbly modelled with lots of detail. Highlighted with gilding and a pink ground color and a superb bird of paradise scene in the center inside. Nice branch handles to either side and four feet. The piece is in superb condition with a bit of wear to four spots on the pink inside ring and a few minor manufacturing flaws like glaze misses and black firing spots. All in all about as good as one can hope for! The basket is 5.25 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Sadly the piece is not marked but that is fairly common in this area around this time. Great Vieux Paris Porcelain Scenic Footed Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse Szenen
For sale is a fun cup and saucer made by one of the Paris makers in the mid to later 19th century. It is one of the better examples I have seen of this style and is very decorative and elegant. The set is superbly decorated with a handpainted scene of a landscape on the cup with a two people in it and some building with lots of trees and rocks. The scene is surrounded by a nice gold trim with most of the rest of the cup having a dirty orange type ground color and gold trim all around. My favorite part is the three claw feet it sits on and the nice handle shape. The saucer has some simple gold trim with that same ground color in between. The scene is of a good quality. The inside cup is gilded down about 1.25 inches as well! This set is in perfect condition(with minimal wear of the gilding) It is unmarked which is common for Paris makers around ... morethat time except for a shrubbery type thing painted underneath the cup. The vase is handpainted with a good quality scene of two couples in a landscape surrounding with a building behind them. Antique Old Paris Empire Style Small Hand Painted Porcelain Spill Vases ATTENTION I ship ALL fragile things PRIORITY MAIL INSURED ONLY which I offer at cost. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for a pair of Old Paris Empire porcelain spill vases. These are small for spill vases but certainly could be as such things sat on mantels in the 19th century and earlier before matches were made. The spill vases may need some explanation. They were small tubular vases that sat on mantles and held small wooden splints or paper cones all called ... morespills. They were used to light candles and lamps and the spill would be lit at the fireplace. Often there was another receptacle to hold the used spill and of course could be thrown in the fireplace too. They could of course be used as small bud vases. These Empire style pieces have a Napoleonic flair with the disc pedestal and the lions paw feet. The details of the two ribs near the top and at the bottom and in addition the gently flaring lip are all those used during this period in the French decorative arts. The hand painting is lovely and handled in a very free manner but not loose either. These are exceptional pieces in outstanding physical condition with all the earmarks of one of the better Old Paris makers. These are unmarked except for a couple of glazers marks a C and an M. This is a listing for a lovely Empire style white porcelain basket inside a bronze. Brass ormolu footed frame with the a handle. Handle and frame are hand hammered with nice decoration. This measures about 6" tall(with foot and handle) without the handle 3" tall, 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" diameter in the top and 2 1/4"x 1 1/4" on the bottom. On the bottom is stamped 4451-2. This is an antique, previously- owned item.as such, it has some wear from the age, including some oxidation to the bronze, brass"patina" The porcelain is in good condition without chips or cracks with some stress marks to the porcelain glaze. Both have chips to the top of the figures' headdress where it meets the basket. Restorations and regilding of the headdress extend from the top to the lower leaf area with very minor chips to the edges of the lower leaves. Both have minor wear to the gilding of the cloak and the cushion. There is some overspray to the green enamel on the bases which obscures the exact cause of the damage. Antique 19th Century FRENCH OLD PARIS PORCELAIN Tea Pot/ Hand-Painted/ Gold Trim
Elegant and graceful tea pot in the exquisite French Old Paris porcelain design. Excellent condition. Delicate hand painted pink roses and dainty bluebells adorn this little tea pot. Graceful gilded vines surround the ruffled opening and then descend onto the body of the tea pot. The same gilded vines wind around the tea pot lid which has a delicate little handle resembling the sepal of a flower. Tiny strainer holes inside the body of the tea pot that open to the spout. There is no maker's mark on this little work of art. Which is not untypical of this particular porcelain. 7-1/2 inches high to the top of the lid handle. 5-1/2 inches high to top of the tea pot. 7-inches wide(handle to spout) 4-1/2 inch diameter at the base.

19th C. Old PARIS PORCELAIN DESSERT SET French Empire Vieux TEA Tureen COMPOTE Offered for sale is this 19th century Paris porcelain dessert set. The larger serving pieces are monogrammed with a"D" The set is in very good condition with little damage. See below for details. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. The set consists of: 2 compotes. Each just over 4.5 inches tall and just under 8 inches diameter. One compote has a short tight hairline on the rim that may be a manufacturing cooling crack(the pen is pointing to it in the close up picture) 1 tureen. Just over 10 inches long from handle to handle, and just under 5.75 inches tall to the top of the finial- 1 deep serving bowl with underplate. The bowl is just over 6.5 inches diameter and 3.25 inches tall. The underplate is 10.5 inches wide from handle to handle- 1 ... moresauce boat with underplate. The boat is 8.5 inches long, 6.25 inches wide from handle to handle, and just over 3.5 inches tall. The underplate is 10.25 inches long and just over 6.25 inches wide. There is a flea bite on the foot ring on the sauce boat, and on the undertray there is a tiny flea bite and shallow flake on the underside of the rim(the pen is pointing to these in the close up pictures) 4 plates that are 7.25 inches diameter- 3 cups and 4 saucers. The saucers are just under 5.5 inches diameter. The cups are just over 2.5 inches tall. And just under 3.75 inches diameter. 1 cup has a small faint spider crack on the inside that doesn't go through to the outside, and another cup has a small unglazed rough spot(a manufacturing flaw) on the inside bottom- please see the close up pictures There is varying degrees of the typical gold wear you find on old Paris porcelain. DESCRIPTION: Presenting an early nineteenth century very rare and elegant pair of SPM hard-paste porcelain vases made by SCHUMANN'S PORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR. 1835-1851in Moabit, a district of Berlin, Germany. Beautifully gilded all around and moulded with scrolls, and scalloped also all around. The front of each vase has a finely handpainted reserve depicting, one a single lady, the other reserve in the other vase depicts two young ladies, both in a bucolic background. The back of each vase is totally decorated in gilded details including each a reserve, one with roses, the other with lillies. Beautiful display of the highest quality porcelain.Bear the eagle mark first used by Shumann. SPM, until the factory closed in 1851. The existing pieces are very rare for they had a limited time of production and this is a pair! A German porcelain collector ... moremust have. THESE SPM VASES ARE ALMOST TWO HUNDRED YEARS OLD! OF SUPERIOR QUALITY PORCELAIN! SPM WITH EAGLE MARK: The two-piece bolted vases have the SPM with the eagle blue underglaze mark and the numbers 4097 41 in gol. The SPM porcelain with eagle mark was founded. Therefore, first used, by FA Schummann and used until 1850. The factory closed and 1851 and the eagle mark was replaced with the by the initials SAF used from 1851 to 1869. Needless is to say that this is a very rare pair of vases in that the factory only lasted sixteen years thus limiting exponentially the availability of existing pieces. Other marks using the eagle mark were KPM(KLONIGLICHE PORZELAN MANUFAKTUR) in the 1800's and BPM and TPM in the 18th century. Photographs do not show the beauty of the moulding. Rich gilding and beautiful glaze and quality of these pieces. They are much more stunning in person. DESCRIPTION: Presenting a beautiful handpainted and highly gilded pair of 19th century flared neo-rococo vases most likely the work of Jacob Petit. The beautiful bird motif reserves mirror each other. That is, they are both designed to be a pair looking at each and have remained together throughout their great age as a pair. As previously stated, I believe this to be the work of Jacob Petit because of the telltale parallel lines incised underglaze. These parallel lines are quickly recognized by Jacob Petit collectors for they were marked in many of Jacob Petit's signed and unsigned pieces. DIMENSIONS: 13 1/2" High X 9" Wide X 5 1/2" Deep

Interior is deco rated with delicately pain ted floral spray s(none repeats the same pattern) some of the finest painted porcelain I've encountered. Condition: one chain handle has been glued. But not quite line up; 2 firing holes in one; a darkened line in ano ther-not a hai rline; gilt worn on handles; no chips; general expected wear. In overall good condition.
