Antique Old Hall E'ware Co England Pitcher- Eureka Description Up for Auction is this beautiful Antique Old Hall Earthenware Co England Pitcher with the Eureka pattern#RdN.44552. The dating for this pitcher is between 1861 and 1886. This date information was found on the Old Hall Earthenware Co Itd site. This company was the first Pottery company in Staffordshire to form a Ltd Company. Incorporated in March 1861which took over the Old Hall Pottery from the distinquised Charles Meigh& Son. They continued some of the patterns and moulds of the earlier company but also produced the popular transferware patterns of"Willow" and"Asiatic Pheasants" Reformed as the Old Hall Procelain Co Ltd in 1886. I could not determine if the Eureka pattern came from the original company or an add to the E'Ware Co. The size is 6 ... more1/2 inches high and 2 3/4 inch base. The weight is 14.7 oz. This Pitcher is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips but the glaze finish is rougher than todays standards. Pitcher is in excellent condition except for a chip on the very bottom. Not noticeable. Wash basin is excellent! Pitcher is 11 1/2 inches tall by 10 inches from spout to edge of handle. This lovely 19th century Hat/ Coat Rack features beautiful two toned walnut.Pierced carvings& rosettes, 7 turned hat/ coat pegs and a sweet little lift up storage compartment below the mirror. This hall rack measures 52 1/2 inches in height.33 inches wide and 7 1/4 inches in total depth and weighs approximately 25 lbs. The mirror portion measures 16 1/4 inches high by 9 1/2 inches wide. Each of the turned hat coat hooks protrude out 5 3/4 inches and the little storage compartment measures 14 1/4 inches wide by 6 inches deep. This hall rack would be a wonderful addition placed at an entrance way to keep those jackets and coats handy. Box is 8 1/4" X 4 1/4" and 3" deep. Box still in pretty decent condition. Just recently opened is this group of 3.000"HALL'S Waterproofed/ BLACK PRINCESS/ Silk Casting Line/ Test 18 Lbs. 50 yds/ Pure Silk" picture of a fisherman casting. A Bass up there on the top left. Very attractive label with a silvery finish. This was a premium line of Halls. I never removed all the newspaper packing that is under the lines, but it's at least from the 1940's. The crock for sale here is in excellent condition. The outside and inside are shinny with few. If any, scratches. The outside has a few small marks w here metal has rubbed off onto the crock. Leavin g a dark line. Which I believe can be cleaned off using the right metho d. The basket is in great shape. With no dents or anything like that. It is only the fin ish of the basket that has a few fl aws. The flaws being the finish in places is marred. As can be seen in the forth picture(center, one third down) But with the side of the basket, as seen in the first picture, being in better sha pe. That would be the side to display. Streamline Tea Pot This Hall China Fantasy Streamline Tea Pot is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, lines. However. There does appear to be a repair to the lid. The ring on the handle has been cleanly broken off and very carefully glued back on. My original opinion was that it was a factory repair because it was so neatly done. I now believe that it was a post-production repair. The last four photos above show the ring and it's attachment to the lid. White Corvette Whiskey Bottle This Hall China White Corvette Whiskey Bottle is 14 3/4 inches long, 5 3/4 inches at the widest point. And 3 3/4 inches tall. The windows are done in a platinum glaze. The wheels are made of pottery. In researching the bottle it looks like Hall China made these bottles for Lionstone who distributed a lot of liquor bottles and decanters. The bottle and stopper are in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, lines or repairs. There is a small G2 impressed in the bottom. It is not marked but was made by Hall. Possibly sometime around the 1940's– it would make a great addition to any kitchen décor and would be perfect for serving those cold beverages in the upcoming warm weather months. This pitcher would also look amazing with a huge bouquet of fresh cut flowers tucked inside it. This pitcher stands about 7 ½” tall and measures just over 4” across the base. In 1857 they built Mechanics Hall to house educational and cultural activities. Mechanics Hall featured a large concert hall on the third floor. Its acoustics enabled audiences to hear speakers' voices and music distinctly without benefit of the as-yet-not-invented electronic amplifier. A pipe organ was subsequently installed in 1864.
