All finely worked with eastern writing etc. Vase measures 25cm tall and the jugs are approximately 9.5cm tall. There is some visible lead solder to the base of the jugs. Both are unpolished with some surface dirt, the vase has a minor dent to the shoulder and there is a casting fault to the foot- not damage. Really nice display pieces. Three Clara L. Poillon Arts & Crafts Toby Jugs Early 1900s New Jersey
Here we have three Clara L. Poillon Toby style jugs that measure 4 1/2"H x 3"D. These are all in great condition with one having a small fleabite there are no cracks or crazing. Bottom is clearly marked on two of them with her initials the third one I cannot find the mark but they all came from Poillons estate on Long Island. I was told some of Clara's pottery were missing the mark. Clara Poillon was well known in the pottery field in the early 1900's and was in business from 1901 to 1928 in Woodbridge NJ Good Luck I will combine auction wins to save on shipping charges.

A replica of milk jugs in a wire carrier. Carrier is 9 1/2 inches long and 11 inches tall. Milk jugs are a little over 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. They are glass. One milk jug has hickory hills dairy Buttermilk on it. The other has Hickory hills dairy Milk on it. One jug does have some of letters off below where the word dairy is. I have two vintage whiskey jugs. Brown on top and beige on bottom. I cannot find any kind of markings on them. I think they may be 5 gallon judging by the measurements of others that look similar on eBay. They measure approximately 15 inches tall by a 10 inch diameter. Large and heavy. I have a 10 lb. scale and each is over on that so I am unsure as to the exact weight. Will update when possible. I cannot find any cracks, there is one chip on the botton of one jug as pictured.

Possible Hms Lusitania stoneware wine jugs inscribed with the name of the famous ship. Appear to be made in the teens. Whether or not used on the ocean liner of the eponymous name. These stoneware wine jugs are of considerable age, and are very attractive as a pair with a nice patina.Found carefully packed in an eduardian steamer trunk at an estate with other items from that time period. One of the jugs has a small chip at the base, as can be seen in the photos, and each one is nicely and definitively stamped with the name"Lusitania" Each one measures: 10" x 4 1/2" one is slightly larger than the other.

Clarice Cliff & Susie Cooper Pittchers/Jugs ~ English Pottery
Clarice Cliff and Susie Cooper were british pottery artisans and contemporaries of one another. These pitchers(or"jugs" in England) are both circa 1940s. The larger pitcher is from Susie Cooper Productions. Crowns Works, Burslem, England. It is the"Dresden Spray" design. The Clarice Cliff is from Newport Pottery. England. I don't know the name of the Clarice Cliff pattern. The Susie Cooper is in excellent condition! The black mark you see on the base is a thread from the fabric it is sitting on. The Clarice Cliff has a slight chip on the base underneath the spout and has some crazing. I think the crazing only adds to its charm. I have posted a photo of the chip. The Cabinet of Creamers( or cream/ milk jugs) illustrates and describes creamers from a multitude of factories and although numerous pottery examples are included. The majority are porcelain(including some sauce boats) and most are within the period 1765 to 1845. The informative introduction pages discusses the use of these jugs and explains the debate over their use for either cream or for milk. Then the attribution to factories is explained giving recent research and a suggested ... morefurther classification by letters. There then follows the 1.116 illustrations of the cream jugs in colour. Each entry gives the factory where known, date of manufacture and a description of the moulding and pattern. Any factory marks. Pattern numbers etc. are noted and known pattern numbers are quoted if known from other examples such as teapots. Cross references are given to the Anthology of Teapots and the Compendium of cups. For example entry 921 in the Cabinet of Creamers is a Hilditch creamer of pattern 921 and is cross referenced to teapot no. 1909 and cup item 931. It is interesting to see from these examples that the main pattern of green ground and pink roses is on the outside of the teapot and creamer but on the inside of the cup. There is an index to entries by factory and a further index to entries by pattern name for quick reference. Apart from identifying creamers the book can be used to identify numerous patterns on cups. The large measure 15 cms high and 8 cms diameter at the base. The large jug has a small chip on the lip. The items are in fairly good condition for their age. Stunning rich chestnut glaze.
