It has the makers mark BCM/Nelson Ware Made in England on the underside. It measures approx 12 cms high. There is some cazing. Mainly on the base and a few surface cracks. The second is a Royal Stafford- Made in Englans. This jug has a b/w illustration of the Entrance Kings Park Perth on the front. It has the makers mark on the underside and it is approx 9 cms high. It has gold trim around the rim and outside handle. The jug is in excellent condition. The third is a small jug made in Czechslovakia by IBC(makers mark on underside. ANTIQUE SET OF ADDERLEY'S GRADUATING JUGS - 4599 - RARE!
Rare as hen's teeth! You are bidding on a lovely set of graduating jugs manufactured by one of England's oldest porcelain producers Adderleys This rare set is in a blush finish pattern with lavish gilt. Number 4599, which I believe was first issued in the late part of the 19th century. It really is a lovely piece. They are: large 9" in height to the spout, medium 8" in height, small 7 3/8" in height. They are in lovely condition(100+ years) with no chips. Cracks or signs of wear to the pattern. There is no crazing and there is little wear to the gilt on the handles. Somehow the pattern on the small jug is inverted. The logos are unmarked denoting 1st quality when manufactured. Stoneware is fine clay fired at a high temperature; the clay is usually gray, yellow or white. The manufacturer created the outer surface or glaze by throwing salt into the kiln, commonly known as salt-glazed stoneware. Stoneware is fired once in the kiln, sealing the crockery and the glaze. The crown mark came from one of the largest American stoneware companies operating at the turn of the 20th century.

The B& G company began canning baked beans 1920’s that were and are still cooked in brick ovens in traditional bean pots. Based on the firing marks and style. The small bonbon dish is 6in/15cm across the handles. There is a small chip on the rim and some light crazing. The larger dish is 12in/30cm across the handles.
