Vintage Moonshine Whiskey Jugs - Brown and Beige - Lot of 2 - 14 in and 1 ft
These were recently found in my late great-grandfather's old farmhouse. The big one is about 14 in. tall and about 8 in. in diameter. The smaller one is a little bigger than a gallon of milk and stands about a foot tall. As far as age. The old house has been abandoned for at least 30 years, so it's anyone's guess. There are no markings regarding manufacturer on either. Both have a glaze and are heavy, solid pieces. As seen in the photos, there are subtle random markings which, judging by similar items, seem to naturally occur during manufacturing. Neat find.

WILLIAM BROWNFIELD Staffordshire Victorian Set of Three Graduated Jugs FERN
This is an antique set of stoneware jugs produced by William Brownfield of Cobridge. William Brownfield was a very prolific and successful Victorian potter. This set of three graduated jugs are in the Fern design which is moulded in relief and handpainted in cobalt blue and gilt enamel. The jugs measure 18. 21 and 26cm in height. On the base is the Victorian diamond mark but I am unable to decipher the exact date. Underneath is the Staffordshire Knot with W B initials inside the knot. There is also a painted 12860. The jugs are in very good condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing though some of the gilt on the rims are rubbed and the rim of the middle jug is a little rough. Description On offer here is an antique Dresden porcelain chocolate set. Consisting of two jugs and a stand. The stand is ornate and sits upon four ornate inbuilt feet. It has a pink ground, painted with flowers and rural scenes with gilded highlights. It has ornate pierced handles and two areas used to house the two ornate jugs. The milk jug made of Britannia metal has an excellent patina; It is 4.5ins(11cms) high; It is unusual in that it has an excellent designed pouring lip as shown in he photo; Unusually for a pewter jug of this age. The handle is not damaged or repaired, though, as usual for such jugs, there are a few minor dings on the rim and the base. Overall it is in good condition for its age. 2. The cream jug made of britannia metal with an excellent patina; It is 2.25ins(5.7cms) high and 2 ins(5cms) across the rim; It is unusual in that it has a crinkly finish to the rim; The handle is not damaged or repaired. It is well marked on the base with 4 marks. The first three are'G' C' S' the fourth is a symbol that I could not. Mynol Mercury Jug And Two Smaller Unmarked Mercury Jugs Dental Items
Nice lot of three Mercury jugs all dug in the same dump where I also got a nice lot of five dental Caulk bottles a couple of months back from the early 1900s. So Assume these to be Dental Mercury jugs from an old dentist office in Pottsville PA. Tallest jug measures 4" tall and is stenciled Mynol Mercury C.P. and the other two measure 3 1/2" and 3" tall. Largest jug does have a very small chip to the base and some rust stains and a spot where it stuck to another jug in the kiln but is a nice jug with unusual marking. The Other two Jugs I would call perfect free of cracks stains or chips. Be sure to supersize and use the zoom on the pictures. This is a little brown jug. On the bottom it reads: PARIS FRANCE O'HARA DIAL CO WALTHAM MASS. U.S.A. all of tht is inside a fluer de lis. It is 6 inches tall. Gold around the inside rim. And brown and lighter browns and tans for the picture. It features a man pouring wine from a bottle into a goblet. He is surrounded by kegs and barrels. He is wearing an apron and a hat. Some places online list it as a monk, but I am not sure it is a monk. You decide. The stopper has a chain, a cork, and it features a Greek or Roman God maybe. It reads: GRUISKEEN LAMN.
