Very unusual and perhaps unique mixed media sculpture of Italian origin. Based on the patina of bronze base and ceramic head the fowl figurine is of older make not a modern reproduction and the craftsmanship is superb. Measurements are 11.75" height. 12.5" length. The glass body features an intricate murrhine pattern which is Venetian Art Glass techniques and the mythological double faced ceramic head is constructed, glazed and painted with great skill and sense of imagination. The surreal appearance reminds of works by Dali, Picasso and Jean Cocteau who based on his biography did attend a Murano Glass workshop in Venice in the year of 1958. Donkey figurine rustic Italian vintage
This rustic little hand made charmer was purchased on a trip to Italy in the late 1970's. And had spend most of that time in storage. It was recently unpacked and deserves to be on display in someone's home. It was not molded or cast, and exhibits a unique form that can only come from being fashioned by hand. The piece is marked"Italy" on the bottom and has some sort of artist's mark, but I can't identify it. The piece is further adorned with what I interpret to be a climbing rose vine and leaves. The donkey's mane and tail are accented in a dark ochre color while the face and hooves have brown touches of paint. The piece is sealed with a high gloss glaze that has held up quite well for its age. No chips, crack or crazing. And it carries a bit of weight, too, almost 6 ozs. Comes from a smoke-free home

Street Man Works of Art by Pierganni Cedraschi Large numbered Italian figurine
This figurine is from parents estate and I know little about it other than they purchased it on a trip to Italy in the 70's. The bottom of base has#851 painted on base bottom. A sticker shows it to be a work of art by Pierganni Cedraschi. I know that Cedraschi was an artist for Capodimonde plus he made works that he sold himself. On the base bottom there is also a crown over N symbol which is also found panted in gold on the front under the feet. The figurine is 14 inches tall and the base measures 10 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. The colors are beautiful and the work is very detailed right down to the buttons and the stitching on his patches. There are no cracks. Chips or crazing on this piece other than a very small chip at bottom of base under the street sign. Buyer pays shipping in USA based on location.

This is a gorgeous vintage Italian art boy figurine by Viertasca. Capodimonte- Nove. It depicts a boy. Holding a basket with flowers. He's standing next to a tree and is looking to a lovely bird, sitting on top of a branch. The boy is nicely dressed, with short pants, and in vivid colours. He has a lovely expression on his face while he looks at the little bird. Fine pink flowers on the treebranch. Beautifull base. Finely pierced and scrolled and with gold decoration. Fully marked.
