This listing is for a pair of circa 1890 good sized Dresden porcelain vases with their original covers. The vases each measure 12 3/4 inches or 32.5 cm high. Each vase is elaborately decorated with applied flowers and fruits all on winding vines with raised bugs and butterflies flying around. The covers are surmounted by a flowering rose. Each vase is marked on the bottom with crossed swords marks very similar to. But not Meissen. This is a Dresden made pair. The quality is as good as Meissen. The condition overall is excellent. There are the usual small chips to some of the flowers but these are really minor. One cover is also stuck and I have not tried to unstick it for fear of damaging the vase. There are no repairs or restorations. Really they are in nice shape. A colorful and elegant pair. German Dresden Lace Figurine- Made in Germany*First Waltz* This graceful couple takes their FIRST WALTZ. Magnificiently executed in every detail. They are placed upon a highly decorative base generously decorated with 22K gold with elegantly flowing scroll work. Hand sculpted flowers are placed on the top side of the base as well as on her dress. Hair, etc. Every feature is hand painted with the finest details and decorated with 22K gold per the artists vision. The mark is done in blue and is a very early Dresden mark. Her gown is filled with layers of exquisite lace and small flowers have been artistically placed throughout. The bodice is bright yellow and decorated with hand sculpted flowers. Individually placed. Her sleeves have a triple row of flowing lace. A small light blue cape trails from her back. In her hair you will find a small ... morebouquet of flowers along with a 22K gold painted bow and a greenish-yellow bow. The gentleman is wearing a long jacket and/or frock. Typical of the era, richly decorated with 22K gold and hand painted scrolls. Upon one shoulder he wears a large greenish-yellow bow. His long vest is richly decorated in 22K gold with pink flowers. An elaborate lace bow completes his ensemble along with lace ruffled sleeves. His hair is neatly combed and tied with a black bow. The facial features are amazingly detailed. What artistic skill was needed to create those beautiful faces. So many details. One can spend much time looking at this tremendous piece of artwork! The colors are Rich and Vibrant, while the porcelain is smooth and fine and first rate, as is only possible on these very early pieces. Quality is first rate, second to none! This classic sculpture is an antique to be treasured. As with most of these types of porcelain. There is minor lace loss and she has lost the tips of two fingers and one base flower is missing. None of this detracts from the beauty of the figurine. It just adds some character. This sort of artistry comes from a by-gone era, by highly trained and skilled artist

Offered is this lovely and rare Dresden porcelain tall comport or centerpiece bowl made by Carl Thieme in Saxony. Germany. The stem of this piece features three figures of children, perhaps representing Cupid, or baby angels. We understand these figurals are sometimes called puttis. They cling to the stem of a reticulated bowl that is encrusted on the outside with hand modeled china flowers and foliage. The inside of the bowl is decorated with hand painted blossoms in the tradition of Dresden Flowers. The blossoms are framed by gold cartouches. A garland of flowers. Including roses, decorates the center of the bowl. The reticulated squares that form the side of the bowl take the form of a trellis. With painted or modeled flowers. The base of the compote features curved feet and reticulated sides with gold trim. It too is decorated with modeled ... moreporcelain flowers and foliage. The flowers and foliage extend up the stem of the piece. This centerpiece bowl is designed for use at the banquet table. To hold fresh fruit, with grape clusters hanging over the side. The compote stands 18 inches tall(46 cm) The bowl measures 11.75 inches by 10.75 inches(30 cm by 27.5 cm) It contains most of the decorative elements for which Carl Thieme is rightly famous. The company began in the 1860s and continues to the present. This piece is in very good condition. No chips or cracks that we can see. We have observed no damage to the porcelain flowers. But in all likelihood, a petal is missing here and there. We believe this centerpiece dates to the second half of the 20 th century. The property having been placed'on the market, we were astounded at the amount of antique and vintage items and clutter that confronted us. The cottage had been unlived in for the last two and a half years and surprisingly the contents were intact and the place was dry. I imagine that the reason for the contents still being intact and unmolested was the remoteness of the place. Just spring water, bottled gas and an old paraffin powered generator for electric power. It put me in mind of the Lorna Doone classic, so intense was its isolation. In accordance with my policies none of the items being offered have had cleaning of any description administered to them. This is a set of Four Porcelain Sauce Dips produced in Denmark. Each piece has a different floral design. You are bidding on all four for one price. These oval pieces measure 4-1/2" by 2-3/4" and are 3/8" deep. Each one has a different floral design. Two of them resembling Dresden flowers in multi-colors on a creamy background. There is a 1/8" wide band of gold surrounding the rims. They are completely glazed on the inside and on the outside edge, but the base is unglazed bisque. There are no chips. Cracks, scratches, crazing or discolorations. The colors are bright and unfaded, the glazed finish is nice and shiny and the gold is intact. A Danmark Backstamp. Vintage Pair Of Beautiful Dresden Lamps Porcelain Germany Candlesticks
This is a beautiful pair of vintage Dresden porcelain lamps made in Germany. The pair are handmade and hand painted. They are both beautifully gilded and each a little different. The large hand painted birds and butterflies are different as well as the design around the top of their bases. And one has a smaller gilded ring around the neck. The lamps both have a double sided off-white silk shade. One of the shades has a couple of tiny holes on the inside of the shade but cannot be seen since the shade is double sided, and both have a little soiling. The lamps measure 19 inches tall from the top of the shade to the bottom of their heavy brass weighted bases. The shades are 9 inches tall and are 10-1/2 inches across at the bottom. Thank you for looking into our auction of a VINTAGE DRESDEN SEMI-PORCELAIN PLATTER WITH HAND-PAINTED GOLD TRIM AND SCALLOPED EDGE. This is a used platter that had belonged to my grandmother. And perhaps to her mother. Although I am not certain as to how old this platter is, I do know that it is at least 70 years old. There are no cracks or chips any where on the platter, at least none that I have seen. There are a number of manufacturing flaws, which I have tried to show in our photos, on the under side of the platter. These flaws are not in the form of cracks or chips, and they will not limit the use of this platter. The glaze is crazing, but nothing seems to be coming off of the platter, so this crazing should not create a problem to the use of this platter. There are a couple of pinpoint sized marks on the bottom of the platter, but they ... moreare not really noticeable, and would be covered up if the platter was in use. The bowl measures 11" wide x 8" across x 4" high and is in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, or crazing. It does have a few light discoloration spots on the interior. Large Continental Porcelain Figurine Group with Dachshund Dogs(Dresden) Offering for sale this charming late nineteenth century continental porcelain figural group which depicts a high society lady who is having her portrait done while in the foreground a second lady plays with two dachshund dogs. The group measures 8.25 inches high and 9.25 inches wide across the base and is nicely modelled and hand painted with fine attention to detail- there is a lot going on in this piece! The base is unmarked although it was almost certainly made by one of the German manufacturers of the time. On close inspection there is a chip to the pen or brush which the artist is holding in his left hand and there is some rubbing to the gilding in areas but the overall condition is excellent with no serious chips.
