The piece is hand painted on the interior of the bowl with flowers. There are applied porcelain flowers centered on each of the four side of the bowl. Which is oblong in shape. The top of the bowl is pierced/reticulated and the piece is trimmed in gold paint throughout. The bowl sits on four feet. The underside ... moreis marked Original Dresden with the SP logo of the Saxon Porcelain Factory of Carl Thieme- this mark was used after 1918. It measures 10 1/4 by 8 1/2 across the top and has a height of 3 7/8. It weighs 1 lb and 4 oz and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks- there are two petals that Im unsure as to whether the edge is chipped or not. Ive provided extreme close-ups of the petals, but really, you cant see anything wrong at all under normal viewing and I don't really think that there is anything wrong, but would rather provide disclosure just in case. One is missing the bottom plug and the other plug is inside the shaker. They measure 2-1/4" tall. The tray measures 7" long by 3-1/2" wide. Inside the circle is also the number"4. This is a really cute creamer. It has an embossed design and is decorated with Dresden style flowers in shades of yellow. Orange, blue, lavender, beige, and green. I can't tell if the flowers are handpainted or transfer. But they are really nicely done. The creamer is made of a very delicate white porcelain. The creamer has gold trim. Which is still in very good condition and shows almost no wear. The creamer is approximately 2 3/4 inches in diameter at its widest point and is just over 3 5/8 inches tall. Circa 20th Century 8-3/4" L x 7-1/8" W Dresden has been a center of ceramic production since the early part of the 19th Century influenced by the nearby Royal factory at Meissen. Nice Set of 7 Dresden German Porcelain Handle Knives Knife Porzellan Messer
For sale is a porcelain handled set of seven knives made in the Dresden area and quite possibly Meissen in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The metal baldes seem to be chrome plated which has some wear and tear. The porcelain handles are handpainted with some superb quality floral arrangements as well as small single flowers and a nice gold trim. The gold trim is a popular design on Meissen items and that along with the quality of the flowers make me quite certain they are indeed Meissen. The marks would be hidden under the metal ferrule. All the knives are in great condition with the metal having some wear and the gold trim as well but no real damage. They are 8 inches long with the porcelain showing being about 3.125 inches long. This vase is marked on the backside with standard green production mark used in c. 1965- 1967. Other marking is form numbers 9877 and 68 written in gold on the backside. Hans Achtziger(1918– 2003) designed this vase in the series of porcelain objects on his workshop on modern ceramics in Selb. There is‘Achtziger’ incised on the backside. He is one of the leading names in German porcelain making industry. He worked for Hutschenreuther since 1946. This stunningly detailed Meissen figurine measures just about 6.5 inches tall. But it is packed with fine detail. I love the tiny playing cards, each individually painted, the sweet facial expression on the little woman card dealer, and all of the meticulously painted details on her dress. She is standing in front of a tripod table where her deck of cards is laid out. I've included plenty of detail photos with my listing, because the delicate workmanship ... moreis just wonderful. There's even faux-marble painting on the little tabletop! The lady wears soft Easter colors: a bustled overdress of thistle-blossom pink and an underdress with Easter yellow and blue stripes, all decorated with delicate white lace. Her beautiful Rococo-styled high heel shoes are blue with gilt flowers. This Meissen design was first modelled by Michel Victor Acier with the help of Johann Carl Schönheit in 1776. This is a lovely pair of Meissen porcelain handled vases. They are white with handpainted colorful bouquets on either side. There was gold gilt as well however most of it is worn away. One vase has no chips or repairs however the other has one handle broken and one side of the bottom base has been repainted on the flat part. Only one side. Both are first quality with no scratch marks and measure 8 1/4 inches high by 5 1/4 inches wide. Beautiful for the collector! Offered without reserve is a large antique hand painted Porcelain Figurine from an estate. This is a highly detailed piece depicting a boy holding a rabbit. I think this figure may date back into the Victorian era. It is approx. 13" tall, the base is 4 1/2" wide. It has several marks on the bottom, one looks like the letter R within a diamond stamp in blue, it also has the number 38 hand written in blue, and there is an impressed number that looks like No. 196, bellow this number is another impressed 43. It is a porcelain material that shows no mold lines, the hand painted colors are very well done, his shorts have very detailed painted stripe lines, his eyes look real and are a vivid blue. It's condition is very good, the only flaw I see is a few small flakes on the bottom edge where it sits. It looks old, as it is, but I think you will find it in good shape. The mark has an H above two sword/slashes and then the handwritten word Dresden. Vintage Porcelain Meat Platter, Oversized server, Grindley, England, Dresden
This is an over-sized vintage oval dinner platter made by W.H. Grindley& Co. Ltd. of England. This platter is part of Grindley's"Dresden" pattern which was discontinued in the 1920s. It is a very large platter which measures approximately 17 3/4 inches long by 12 3/4 inches wide. This platter is suitable to hold a turkey or ham for a large holiday gathering. This platter is in good used condition with no cracks and no repairs. The platter has a small flea-bite chip which can be seen on its underside. But which is not visible on the top of the platter. You can see the chip that I am referring to in my very last photograph. This is a beautiful and useful piece of serving-ware. I sell used or vintage items as I have found them. I am not an expert. HAND PAINTED DRESDEN GERMANY BOX* Estate purchase. Box marked Germany. Dresden. The four corner rose leaves have been reshaped by nicking porcelain bits to be of equal presentation. Perhaps done after application by artist to balance the decoration, I don't know. One porcelain rose petal has a shrinkage split as shown in photo. There is a small nick to the center rose bottom edge of an outer petal so there are so small here and there issues. The overall presentation is wonderful, It is a hand designed, hand painted piece and very pretty. Measures 4 1/4 by 2 3/4 by 3 1/4 inches high. Antique MULLER VOLKSTEDT Dresden Lace CARMEN Dancer FIGURINE Porcelain Ireland
Antique Muller Volkstedt"Carmen" Figurine This is a gorgeous. Rare Irish Dresden lace figurine by Muller Volkstedt depicting the beloved"Carmen, the Spanish flamenco dancer from Georges Bizet's opera of the same name. Carmen's dress is a froth of lace in striking black and white. Set off by red heels and choker and gold details. Her face is beautiful, her demeanor fierce, and her pose in dance captures the movement of the Spanish flamenco. This figurine is delightfully detailed and stands 6" high. The mark of the the bottom is the crown MV mark which dates this to the years between 1907 and 1949. It is also marked"Dresden, Ireland. On close inspection I find one spot of missing black lace at her back, and there may be other losses that are too tiny to find. Hidden underneath the white ruffles I find some yellowed ... morespots which are probably glue from an old repair to the lace. I don't see any sign of damage to the base, her body, or her head. Gorgeous Large Antique French Porcelain Dresden Lace Lady Queen Figurine Figure
This is a Gorgeous Victorian lady figurine. She is wearing a gorgeous wide floral dress with dresden lace ruffles. Approximately 7 1/4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. Stamped on bottom of base with a crossed arrows mark in blue and in gold it says"Made in France expressly for Marshall Field& C" In great condition with some minor lace loss. The bottom feels like a bisque material with firing cracks in it and it's not smooth but I believe it is original to the piece because you can see blue paint on it from the paint from very bottom layer of her dress. This is a sweet Meissen porcelain figure of a little girl feeding her chickens. It measures approximately 4 3/4 inches high and is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. Just a tiny bit of paint wear to the back of her blue bodice. Very minor on display. Marked with impressed numbers and the Meissen crossed swords, a first quality piece. Wonderful for the collector! ANTIQUE -RARE-Two German Porcelain - Helena Wolfsohn- Cups and Saucers-Dresden
Presented to you are two German. Porcelain Cups and Saucers- Helen Wolfsohn. Each of them are beautifully detailed with scenes of courtship on both the cups and saucers. The panels painted without scenes are a cobalt blue with a painted gold flower. There are no chips or cracks on any of the four pieces. There is loss of the gold trim on each of the cups and saucers and on one of the cobalt blue panels. These are beautiful and elegant pieces from the early 19th Century. Measurements: The cups are 3 3/4" wide and 2" tall. The saucers are 4 7/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall. LITTLE GIRLS& LAMB" Vintage Dresden Germany Dresden Lace Porcelain Figurine"Beautiful Young with Two Little Girls& Lamb" This is the sweetest figurine! Beautiful Dresden Lace Porcelain Figurine of a young lady with two little girls frolicking with a baby lamb! They are all wearing pink and white Dresden lace dresses with ruffles and tiny applied flowers. A very graceful figurine! The bottom of the figurine is marked in blue with a number 10 and impressed with a number 8. Not sure of maker. The figurine is quite a large size measuring 7 1/2" high by 7 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" deep. The figurine is in pretty good condition. It doesn't have any cracks or crazing. Has some minor loss or chips on some of the applied flowers. Mostly on the little ... moregirls flower crown on her head. There is some minor bit of loss on the lace on on left side of the girls dress with the bonnet. A little bit of loss on the bottom edges of the girl with the flower crown. The largest area of damage is on the back of the young lady in the center. The back bottom area of her dress has a 2" wide by 1 1/2" high area of loss. I show a close up. Thankfully it is in the back so when this is displayed it does not detract from it's beauty. A beautiful Dresden to display or collect! Note. It does weigh 2 pounds so shipping cost will reflect this heavy weight!
