This is a great Depression Era piece. It is an enamel ware child's potty. It is 7" in diameter with good handle& lid& the color is a cobalt blue that fades into white. It has a couple of glaze pops. But is good overall.

Antique Vitreous Chamber Pot made by EDWIN M. KNOWLES CHINA Co. Would make an awesome decoration or a decorative serving dish. The identification#s on the bottom are 24-1-10. This has absolutely no chips. It does have some crazing inside and out. There is a small star like crack That is shown in the pics. This crack only shows on the outside. You can not feel it with your finger nail, it can NOT be seen on the inside, So I don't know if this is really considered a crack or just more crazing. From what I found researching on the net, this was made in 1924. It is a very nice original piece.

19th century English lustreware chamber pot
Mark in the bottom says it was made on October 13. 1866, by Samuel Alcock in England. The"Portland" lustre pattern present Greek scenes front, back and on the lid of the piece, in accordance to the Greek Revival style in vogue at that time. Both lid and pot in mint condition. Up for auction. A charming, miniature chamber pot. It's made of white porcelain, with metallic gold. Script lettering, which reads: Go way back, and sit down" The rim is also gilded, but quite"worn" It measures 1& 1/8" high, and is 1.75" across the mouth, including the handle. Inside. At the bottom, is a"Watchful Eye" with a blue iris. And black detailing. There are no markings. As to country of origin, but it looks to be German, from the early 1900's! There is one tiny ding, on the rim, but no other chips, cracks or repairs: handle is securely attached. The lettering has"rubbed off" areas, but still legible! A quaint piece. The details are clearly shown in the photographs which are much better than I am able to describe. A ll of the photos in this listing are the actual photos of the pot. The pot is in very good. Pre-owned antique condition without any chips, nicks or repairs. Due to the age, it shows age appropriate wear such as loss of gold gilt. Most of the gold gilt on the top has been rubbed off. The high glossy glaze of the entire interior and bottom of the pot have crazing which is very common to vintage"Cloisello" ware. Because of the glare. The crazing doesn't show up in the picture but. It is there. There is an external glaze hair line at the very top of the handle. See the photo) Since the line is only on the glaze. It appears that the line is a manufacture flaw such as a gap in the glaze or firing crack on the glaze but not on the handle. If the handle had been cracked. It would have signs of restoration. Looking at the handle closely, it shows no sign of repair. This very nominal flaw does little to impact the item

This vintage chamber pot is marked Deposi Nimy Manufacture Imperiale Royale Made In Belgium. It's also marked Fabrica En and what looks to be Belsen. It looks to be enamel over pottery and is decorated all around with large storks. It's in great condition for its age. There is some wear to the finish here and there on the storks and the top rim has one place where the enamel is chipped(see picture 7) all consistent with its age and use. It's 4-3/4 tall. 8-1/2" in diameter and is 26" in circumference. This is from an estate and is offered as found/as is.

1This is a beautiful piece of white D E McNicol pottery from a farm in New England. It has a wood handle(that is usually missing at this age) D E McNicol Pottery Co. opened it's doors in East Liverpool. OH in 1892. It specialized in white ceramics at first. Stamp of company is on bottom. Can trace age of piece by stamp, which is one of the first used. Has no chip, but has a faint crack in rim and brown spots from age. Some crazing, but all in all is in wonderful condition for it's age. The company was in business from 1892-1954.

My mom-in-law had it grouped with some other pieces that inclu ded a wash pitcher and matching dresser vase(see separate listin g) Th is item consists of 3 pieces: pot. Lid and insert. This ceramic bed pan measures about 15 inches long. 10 inches wide at ts widest and 5 inches high at the highest point. There is an area on the side where it looks like it didn't get glazed correctly, there's a black line and then missing glaze on top of that. It also has little dents and dings on the bottom surface that it sits on.
