For your consideration are 4 individual butter pat dishes made by M. C. Co. Royal Saxony China. The dishes have a sweet pink floral pattern accented with pale green leaves. They are in very good. Vintage condition, no chips, or crazing with slight pattern wear. They each have very faint utensil scratches from use. One plate has what appears to be a very fine crack. This piece is made in the attractive Versailles pattern. Which began production in 1888, and has old copyright markings indicating that this particular piece likely dates to within the first ten years of the pattern's production. Versailles is a mixed motif pattern with classical themes, and this fork has a cherub holding a harp on the terminal of the handle amidst various shell, scroll and leaf designs. The other side of the handle has a cartouche with a monogram of'AR' in elegant script. The blade of the spreader is sterling silver, as well as the handle. I have these in a small priority mail flat rate box. They are separated by sheets of foamy stuff. But there wasn't room to put more sheets on top and bottom of the dishes. I will have the Post Office mark them as fragile. I just got back feedback today from a railroad dish I sent priority mail marked the same way. From what I can tell these small dishes are for butter pats. I don't know whether they were used by railroads or what they were used for, but it is hard to find a good matching set after all this time I'm certain. About three of them had very slight chips underneath I have to mention. One of them may have come from the factory that way. Description This pair of early butter pats or small plates measures 4.25" in diameter.The white one has embossed light blue trees on it. I believe it is Wedgwood but cannot make out the incised mark on back. I see Royal Patent and there is a horse head as part of the mark. I can make out.ENAST.as part of the name around the edge. Anyone know who this is? Some discoloration as shown but no chips or cracks! The other one looks like Staffordshire to me and features a green transfer center with red scenes around the edge! Limoges china hand painted by studios in the US– circa 1909 to 1918 From 1909 to 1910 Anna had professional china decorators and had a studio in Martha's Vineyard. Massachusetts. Anna Leonard items may be found as late as ca. 1918. With a distinctive block script LEONARD VIENNA mark. Backstamp: Leonard Vienna Scalloped edge square butter pat– hand painted pink floral design Size: approx 2 5/8ths square Condition: The porcelain is beautiful and the painting is also lovely. Backstamp is in block letters in a deep cobalt blue– very strong. I thought it was perfect. But it is not. The tips of one scallop has a rough feel, so must be teeny tiny flea bit chips. History– P H Leonard company In 1880 Peter H Leonard started his own import company after ... moredissolving a partnership for Klingenberg& Leonard. Peter used the advent of his son Harry P Leonard joining the company to initiate the purchase of high quality Bohemian White Ware from both Bawo& Dotter's factory in Fischern. Bohemia. Austria and Count Thun's factory in Klosterle. Bohemia. Austria. The PH Leonard hand painted artistry was so respected. That Count Thun allowed a Leonard mark to be substituted for his own. The PH Leonard entity went bankrupt in 1898, in 1899 Harry P Leonard himself, aided by Blakeman& Henderson became the successor, created by the former employees of the company, until Harry passed later that same year. At that juncture, it was Blakeman& Henderson that inherited the ownership of the original PH Leonard, and made a corporate decision to only import porcelain from Limoges. Sampson Bridgwood Sons antique Octagon early butterpat 1853 to 1890 porcelain This is an 8 sided/ octagon antique butter pat/ butter ship. Marks on the back show: the S B& Son with anchor inside of an oval. From reading about Sampson Bridgwood& Sons. Anchor Pottery– this particular piece appears to be circa 1853 to 1890. When holding this butter pat up to the light it is translucent– There is not an England mark. see notes about this company found through internet research below) Size: approx 3 ¼ inches in diameter. Design colors– white background with gold grain type flower/ wheat. Or another grain– gold border with gray tone corners. Condition: No chips. No cracks. No crazing. The backstamp is strong and legible. The front design does show some fading in the gray toned corners. Gold design has some fading. But is still rather ... moregood and strong. Can see some light utensil ware marks. Internet research: Sampson Bridgwood& Sons Ltd. Anchor Pottery, Sutherland Road. Longton, Stoke-on-Trent were earthenware manufacturers(also china up to 1887) They were established in 1805 and moved to the Anchor Pottey in 1853. The company closed in the 1990s. Although the company appears to have ceased producing china in the late 19th century they continued to use tradenames such as'semi-porcelain' porcelaine opaque' and' limoges' for their earthenwares. If the ware is translucent when help up to the light(i.e. you can see light through it) then it was probably made c.1890. Just as the' England' mark was being phased in and before china production ceased. If it does not transmit light then it is a type of earthenware and could be a little later than 1890. This is an antique American porcelain butter pat. It measures approximately 3 ¾” in diameter. It promotes the First National Bank of Henry. Illinois. The bank’s color transfer image adorns the center. The cobalt blue border is adorned with hand gilding. The item is transfer marked on the bottom with a cartouche which reads“Made in Germany” and“Presented by First National Bank, Henry, Ill. Also on the back is a daub of blue under glaze which must have something to do with the production process. The butter pat is in good original condition. There is some wear to the external gilding. But that’s it. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. The piece is not dated; however, our feeling is that it was produced c. 1900-25. This is a nice old collectable item in good condition. Haviland Limoges France Antique Butter Pat or Open Salt Dip Hand Painted H & Co
Offering a rare H&Co. Haviland& Company) Limoges France butter pat. This lovely butter pat has hand painted flowers in various shades. The backstamp on this item dates it back to appx the 1880's. It's in wonderful condition. You would never guess it to be that old. Since it's made of high quality. Limoges porcelain, there's no crazing, and there's also no cracks, or chips. It does have a very, very slight roughness to the rim where it meets the table. This butter pat is not flat. It's somewhat like a tiny shallow bowl, measuring 11/16" from bottom rim to top rim. Vintage Childs Restaurant metal tray butter pat coaster
This little metal tray from Childs Restaurant measures 3.25" across. I'm not sure what its purpose was: butter pat? tip tray? coaster? I don't know for sure but don't think it was an ashtray as it has no indentation(s) for a cigarette to rest. You can see in the photos that there is a slight dent in the outer rim in one spot and there are three pocked rust marks right on the front. On the back side is stamped"Continental Silver Co. Inc. One has a tiny shallow fleabite on the bottom rim and otherwise they are all just barely used. They measure 3 1/2" in diameter and the total weight is 13 oz. As always. The Reliable Butter Churn: Made by Taylor Bros Churn Company of St. Louis. Missouri. Patten in January 4. 1910. Usage: Make Butter. History: The name of‘Taylor’ was common in the St. Louis area. And may have been manufactured by one of the“Dazey Brothers” Pictures: 12 photos are available on eBay’s… If you need more. Please make a request them. 6 Louisville Pottery Churn is NOT included in your bid. Description of iron or medal churn only: This butter churn is called The Reliable Churn. It was patented January 4. 1910 by John and Thomas Taylor and was made by the Taylor Bros. Churn Company of St. Louis. Missouri. It used a stoneware crock(not included) but instead of the up and down motion of a dasher one turned the crank to move the dasher up and down. This butter churn came in three models. The No. 2 had a fixed 6 inch stroke and was designed ... morefor a 3 or 4 gallon crock. The No. 3. Like the churn pictured above, had an adjustable stroke and handle length to accommodate larger sized crocks. The Reliable Churn has a wooden handle for turning or cranking by hand. The wood dasher is attached by a metal rod. The wooden paddle has holes unlike most dashers you see in non-mechanical churns. There is a wood base that holds the“Largest Louisville Pottery Churn/Crock#6” which is NOT included. You are only biding on the Reliable Churn. The#6 Louisville Pottery is used for display only. Approximately Measurements: Height: 36 inches[not including the dash rods height] Wood Base: 21 x 15 inches. STERLING SILVER BUTTER PAT - FRANK M. WHITING CO.
This I believe is a Butter Pat however. I suppose you can use it for what ever you like. The Butter Pat measures 3 3/8" in diameter and weighs 21 grams. On the underside is impressed the mark of Frank M. Whiting Co. North Attleboro, Mass. and reads Sterling. There are some dents and marks on the Pat probably from knives going for the butter. The piece has been cleaned but not polished. Being a vintage piece it does show the normal signs of age and use.

Antique T & R Boote Ironstone Cup Plate/Butter Pat? Summer Time Circa 1878
This cup plate by T& R Boote in 1878. The hallmark indicates the date of November 26th. There is some staining as shown in the pictures. There are no chips or cracks. It is a sweet reminder of the days when coffee was poured into a deep saucer and the cup would be placed on the little cup plate, so there would be no mess. I can't imagine slurping my coffee out of a saucer! This dainty plate measures approximately 3 1/2" in diameter.
