This piece would have only been produced between 1888– 1890 in Stoke. England. It is marked W& W No. 109760, Stoke England on the bottom. It is an antique white ivory color with a brown print of irises, water lilies, and wild grass on the inside. It has a brown print of a bird on the front of the outside and a split wild grass print on the back of the outside of the bowl. It measures approximately 14.25” in diameter. In 1888 Winkle and Wood jointly opened the Colonial Pottery Works in Stoke. Using the W&W backstamp mark. In 1890 the Colonial Pottery continued as F. Winkle and Wood. Doing business out of the Pearl Pottery works. Condition: Pre-owned. There are a few minor marks from normal use ... moreand one small chip under the top rim.
