Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this very large. Late 1800s/ early 1900's antique graniteware basin. This large old bowl is in great condition with a wonderful old look and style. It has two very solid carrying handles and measures 16 inches in diameter(measurement excludes handles)and 6 inches deep. It has a footed base that has seem some wear over the years and is rusted in a couple places- see pics. Overall. The bowl stands 7 inches tall and sits flat with no wobble. As you can see in the pictures. There are some old chips in the enamel from usage but there are no holes in the bowl- any light rust will wear smooth with use. It is watertight and we use old basins just like this for a number of purposes at home- everything from dry sink washtubs to carrying in vegetables from the garden. The matching bowl is marked on the bottom with a crown. Wreath and shield and a name that I can't make out. I don't know who the maker is. The pitcher has some hand written numbers on the bottom. Size- the bowl measures 15 3/4" in diameter and is about 4 1/2" tall. The pitcher is about 10" high. Condition: The pitcher has a chip on the top of the handle and there is some wear to the gold gilt trim. There are also some small chips on the bottom rim. Penn Valley California Great Basin Arrowhead Indian Artifact AACA
Very nice high quality point found in Penn Valley. California in Nevada County in the 1950's. Exceptional piece. Perfectly made.Amazingly beautiful serrated edges run top to bottom both sides. Relatively rare. Highly collectible point type in a very uncommon color for an artifact found in that area. Excellent condition. Very little damage. Just a chip, small piece missing from bottom of base. This projectile point or spear tip is an authentic mid to late paleo artifact from the Maidu tribe or a tribe similar to and closely associated with them or the tribe from whom they originally descended. Nice grouping of various authentic artifacts found in Penn Valley in Nevada County. California during the 1950's. Most of these pieces are knife blades or cutting tools of some sort. They are fairly crude and rather dull looking, made with the most basic common materials. Very different style compared to the other artifacts always found at Maidu sites with these crude ones. Looks like two different archaeological periods at once when exploring the artifacts of this unique tribe. They made tiny perfect intricate delicate detailed artifacts only used for spiritual. Personal, medicinal, ritual, burial, etc. And the same people made big sturdy simple ugly primitive tools for living moving adapting surviving. During the Paleo and early archaic periods most tribes relied on such crude ugly implements for survival. 1894 Royal Doulton Chamber Pot and Wash Basin A 4824/A7824 Chrysanthemums Covered chamber pot and large wash basin dated 1894 by Royal Doulton. England Delicate pink and blue painted Chrysanthemum pattern Chamber pot marked A 4824. Basin marked A 7824 Chamber pot has a 1/2" chip on rim. Unnoticeable under chamber pot lid and age related stress cracks not protruding Chamber pot measures 9 1/2' X 7 1/2" Wash Basin measures 17" round and 5" deep and is in excellent condition Clear makers mark on both pieces The Doulton company was selected as the ceramic and pottery maker of choice to the Crown of England. The moniker of Royal was added at a later date. Doulton was mostly known for their chamber pots. Wash basin, sanitery products first, adding dinner and serving ware a few years later.

The interior has panels depicting a dragon in stylized clouds. The exterior is ornately decorated as well. The bowl is in great condition. It rings beautifully when tapped. Vintage Antique? 14" Wash Basin Bowl Unknown Crown Mark
This is a very nice old ceramic wash basin with a yellow and maroon( stenciled bird by a basket of flowers. It has purple trim around the edge. There is a mark on the bottom that I could not identify(see pic) It has a word or words at the top and what appears to be a crown below it and an oval surrounding everything. If you can identify the mark. Please let me know what it is. This is a large 14 1/8" diameter bowl that is quite heavy. The size and weight account for the higher shipping costs. There is a single large chip on the underside of the edge that is about 1 3/4" wide including the narrow tapering off of the chip. There is also a 2nd shallow and very small 1/8" chip on the underside edge that I don't believe is significant. VINTAGE BATHING PITCHER without BASIN OR WASH BOWL
Up for auction is this very old Wash Pitcher(without the basin unfortunately) I picked it up to use for a flower arrangement but when I looked around my house. I have no more room. Therefore, I'm hoping someone out there has the basin or would like it for a nice flower arrangement. It measures approximately 11.5" tall and 9" wide at the widest point. Of course, due to it's age, it is not in perfect condition. There is crazing on the pitcher and a chip on the bottom which is only visible if you turn it over. There is a flaw of some sort on the body of the pitcher. The decal design is in pretty good condition with very minor scratching. The handle is very good with no signs of cracks or breakage The inside is clean too. There is a stamped signature on the bottom but I can only read a part of it which says"Ohio China" ... moreI believe the pitcher is made of porcelain. Although I'm not an authority on this type of antique, I believe it is from the 1920's or 30's. Maybe someone out there can help me to be more specific. Antique Great Basin Native American Trade Beads/Abalone Pendants/ Red/Blue
This auction is for another wonderful piece from a local estate. It is a re-strung necklace of beads that were traded to the Native Americans and features abalone pendants that were traded with Indians from the Pacific coast. The beads are Russian Blues. White Hearts and white glass beads. They were strung together with thread at some point in the past. They may or may not have been found together. I've inspected each of the beads and they are all antique and the abalone pendants have a hand drilled hole. Many of these have been found in the Great Basin, Eastern Sierra. There was a large trade network between Indians living in the Great Basin and those on the Pacific Coast. These are guaranteed old and authentic. Vintage ROYAL HAEGER Pottery Pitcher and Wash Basin Bowl
Gorgeous Royal Haeger signed pitcher with matching wash bowl basin. This was made around 1970. It is so lovely. It's creamy white with blue and white daisy floral on the front of the pitcher, and on the side handles of the wash bowl basin. There are only two chips. Both are on the pitcher. The one is on the base it stands on, and really cannot be seen when it is sitting on the table. It doesn't affect it's functionality or appearance in any way whatsoever. The other is a small 1/4 inch chip on the edge of the spot area. Please see picture with the pencil tip. I didn't know it was there until I was examining it to list it. I think because of the white color, you don't even notice it. This will add a very special touch to your decor! It is bound to draw compliments!
