It's lacking the lid and the handle and it does show quite a lot of pitting but it is a very early piece. I'm not sure of the exact age though. Large Antique Buffalo art teapot #7. Pleasing , not perfect!
This auction is for a very pleasing antique teapot. Nice size, five,six large teacups.Good feel to it,but it's a mismatch because the top does not match the body's pattern. The top also blue and white, belongs to the Argyle pattern, while the body has different flowers and belongs to the"China" pattern. They look and work fine together belonging to the same Buffalo Pottery Company. The spout has a very small chip as seen in picture 8. Antique RS Prussia "OM13" Small Teapot - Pink & Yellow Roses
R. S. Prussia Teapot. For auction is an antique unmarked teapot by R.S. Prussia. The teapot appears to be in the OM13 mold. The pattern can be seen on page 46 of“R.S. Prussia: The Early Years” By Leland and Carol Marple. The pot has scalloped sides that end up in a ruffled top edge. The pot is decorated with purple and yellow flowers and pink highlights. The handle. Rim and spout all have gold trim. The lid has a small steam hole and a finial that looks like flower( The pot is in good condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. The inside rim of the lid has a few rough spots. The pot measures about 7” from handle to spout and about 3 ¾” tall to the top of the finial and 3 ¾” wide. Nice Old Antique Igloo, Turtle or Teapot Style Ink Inkwell bottle, Offset hole
Here's another interesting old or antique bottle from among the small collection we've been listing from for the past week or two. This one seems to be one of the more early bottles in the group based on the more primitive or crude appearance of a less evolved glass making process of the mid to late 1800's. This one is another of the ink bottle listings from the larger group. This bottle seems to be known by many names based on the information available online. It has an offset port for accessing the ink as the pictures show. It is apparently know as a turtle. Teapot or igloo style ink or inkwell and when made it appears the manufacturers had names like"fountain" monitor" or"fluted fountain" This one is crudely made with a surface bubble scar and rough edge lip, bubbles in the glass etc. The mold was designed ... moreto make many little flat sides along the lower part of the body and this effect continues only about 2/3rds of the way around the body as we try to show in the pictures. The bottle is relatively clean but a little bit cloudy and some bottle enthusiasts will want to perform some fine cleaning. It stands about 1.5 inches tall and is about 2 inche in diameter. Has a nice early glass look. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this antique bottle low so enjoy the auction. We'll pack this carefully. Offering for auction a lovely. Whimsical antique tea pot pitcher in the form of a dog. This little dog is a true charmer- is in the sitting up/ begging position- it's tail is the tea pot handle and it's paws form the spout. Very finely formed. The tea pot has lots of details depicting the fur. Is basically a light cream/ white color with hand painted grey details- a red ribbon painted around it's neck. Gloss glaze shows some uniform crazing as to be expected with age. Is original antique, vintage piece in excellent condition. No chips anywhere. Has faint mark of maker on bottom. This auction is for an early 19 th century small teapot. It holds only one cup and is sometimes called a bachelor’s teapot. It is 3” tall x 6” wide from spout to handle edge. The raised classical design of acanthus leaves is around the top and the bottom half of the teapot. There is no maker’s mark as was common in that time period. It was probably made in the UK. The lid has a small hole to vent the steam. There is a small chip on the underside of the lid. The top of the pot where the lid goes also has a very small chip on the inside rim and a small chip on the outside rim. When the lid is on. It is barely noticeable unless you tip the pot. The area around where the handle is attached at the top has a slight‘globbiness” to it on one side. This looks like it may be an old solder repair. But it also may just be the way the piece was made. There is only very minor wear to the silver plating consisting of tiny areas here and there on the high points of the busy design. There are insignificant small scratches here and there on the piece. The interior is clean, but the inner floor has some pitting. The hinge works smoothly and the lid closes tightly. As with all of our auctions. It looks artificially light in some of the pictures. I turned the camera exposure up so you could see the detail it the design, the true color is the dark color in some of the pictures, the correct dark basalt color. SIZE: The teapot is just under 7.25 inches tall. And is approximately 10 inches from handle to spout. CONDITION: There are flakes to the tip of the spout and around the edge of the lid- the pen is pointing to these in the close up pictures. Just in from a retired resident who is moving into a smaller assisted living home. This China was passed down in their family and now is ready for a new home. This fine teapot is the old mark Herend Hungary porcelain in the"Rothschild Bird" pattern with gold trim. C. 1915-1930's. The gorgeous pitcher is decorated with two different colorful bird scenes. It is further embellished with colorful butterflies and various flying insects on the white porcelain ground and embellished with gilded trim. Also it has a fine basket weave pattern as you can see in our pictures. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The top has a fine hand painted bird fineal and the piece stands about 7" tall and measures about 10.5" from handle to spout. Antique Transferware Teapot w/ Children, Houses -- 1850s Decorator Broken Beauty
Description Everybody needs someone to love them. Even broken beauties. If you're like me. You love the look of antique transferware. The bigger the piece, and the more showy, the better! But we also both know that such pieces can be very pricey. Costing well into the hundreds of dollars, usually leaving us wanting. Well. There is another way to own such dream examples, if you're not too fussy. Decorate with broken beauties! This teapot. For example. Just set it on a shelf turned a certain way so most of the damage doesn't show. Or l et your imagination dictate some use. This piece probably dates from the 1850s up toward the 1870s or 80s. It is a 6" tall teapot that's roughly 5.5" across at the widest. And 11" from the tip of the spout to the outside of the handle. There is lots of damage. The finial on the ... morelid is gone. And the lid is chipped around the edges. A big chip is gone out of the bottom edge of the rim where it sets into the bowl. The bowl is chipped where it receives the lid, and the tip of the spout is gone. A large chunk of the bottom is gone. The darkness of that damage indicating it happened long ago. Cracks run across the bottom of the bowl and up its sides. There is roughness and some discoloration on some of the wear surfaces. But. On the other hand, the art on the side of the bowl is neat. It shows two children, or a young couple, walking in a garden. He is playing a flute or some sort of horn. The scene recalls both England and the Orient. Unmarked as to pattern and maker. Be advised that while we will do our best to wrap this well for you. The chances of it being further broken in the mail are relatively high due to the existing damage. When the integrity of a piece like this is violated, damage becomes easier. Please be aware and tolerant of that risk should something happen. Rare find! This listing features a very early Meissen Blue Onion Teapot. Hand made of pure white porcelain and all hand~decorated with the classic Meissen blue straw flowers. Berries and vines. Use the zoom feature to get close-ups! I would classify this piece as"primitive" Meissen. Dating back to the 19th century. Edges are rough(not chipped) and openings and lid are slightly misshapen(not perfectly round, as newer pieces are) This is a small individual teapot. Measuring 3 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide(from handle to spout) and the condition is very nice ~ clean and shiny with no chips, stains or crazing. There are a few sandbumps and flea bites, and as noted above, the spout rim, lid, and top edge of the teapot are rough and even look chipped, but all these flaws occurred during production and are completely glazed over. ... moreNote that the handle has a hairling crack in one spot(see photo) though it is a very fine crack and the handle has not broken off or been repaired. Everything appears to be in good condition. It is used. So there may be some general wear, but I see no major dents or scratches.
