Width with handle is about 6" The colors are just gorgeous. The deep rusty red and greens of the fruit fading into yellow, peach and a touch of pink, and then a pale turquoise blue at the base. Gilt gold handle and top rim. It is unmarked(or so faded that I can not make it out) This form was made by both French Limoges and American Belleck/CAC. Both companies sold porcelain blanks which were hand painted by amateur artists(although many of these amateurs were as highly skilled as professional decorating artists) If porcelain maker matters to you, please do your own research. Antique George II Silver Tankard Jug Newcastle 1757, This is a wonderful antique English George II silver lidded tankard/jug with hallmarks for Newcastle 1757 and the makers mark of the renowned Newcastle silversmith John Langlands. The tankard has rare and wonderful embossed decoration. There is no mistaking its unique quality and design. Which is sure to make it a treasured piece by any discerning collector. The maker's mark is from the renowned silversmiths Fuller White of London. The tankard is embossed and engraved with floral and foliate scenes. There is no mistaking its unique quality and design. EGERSUND'S Fayancefabrik LARGE ANTIQUE Tankard stein"Brudefolge Fra Sondmor" Large tankard stein is stamped on the bottom: Egersund's Fayancefabrik and has the print titled. Brudefolge Fra Sondmor" which depicts a bridal parade on it coming down from the mountain terains. The Egersunds firm moved to Norway from England so they could learn the processes of ceramics. This large tankard stein is a design used from 1877-1920 and the makers mark is from the later era. Close to antique age if not already. Some of the pieces made from this design are small being around 3 inches and/or black and white in colour. This one is a large colorful piece at 5 3/4"H x 4 3/4"W at the base. Shows signs of use wear without damages. Not seen at the auctions to often with a large going in the UK about 8 months ago and a small going ... morehere in the states recently. Listed is a 3/10 liter ladies glass stein circa 1910. It features two cut designs. One is bevel cutting along the bottom, with the look of stalagmites seen in caves I tried to give a good view in the last photo. Two is a starburst cut design on the bottom it has 16 points on the star. It is in excellent"antique" condition and stands 5 1/2 inches to the top of the thumblift. antique pewter German/American beer stein/tankard
Listed is a one of a kind melding of a German porcelain inlaid. Bevel cut pewter lid, with an American glass bottomed mug made by Manning&Bowman. The pewter/silversmith had to create a hinge for this tankard and did an excellent job. My guess is that the lid originally came from a glass stein, the glass broke, but the owner loved the lid, and had it attached to a more sturdy mug. The tankard is 5 3/4 inches to the top of the thumblift. It is in good"antique" condition, with age related wear, and the porcelain inlay depicts 3 drunk cavaliers in a wine cellar. The capacity is 1/2 liter, happy bidding, I am sorry, I do not ship international.

Antique Pewter English 1/2 Pint Measue Tankard C.1827 Hallmarked William IV
If you were a Pub owner in early 19th century England this would have been your State Tested 1/2 pint measure. Thick walled and Heavy it has the Touch marks of both William IV and Later Victoria Regent and was made prior to 1830. Almost polished out is the 1/2 pint mark to the left of the handle. Also polished off are the words to the right of the Victoria Regent Touch mark. In fine condition it has a lot mark on a label on the base. Purchased in England in 1972. Shipping is $8.00. Antique Black Transfer Tankard MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL England Commemorative 1894
For your consideration is this antique black transfer tankard commemorating the historic opening of the Manchester Ship Canal. Manchester and Salford Docks. The 36 mile waterway, starting near Liverpool, England, began operation in 1893 and was officially opened with great fanfare by Queen Victoria on Jan. 1, 1894. The tapering tankard has a detailed black transfer of many ships on the canal. There are also two portraits on either side. The first is of founder D. Andamson Esq. J.P. The second is of chairman Lord Egerton of Tatton. Hand painted blue decoration on the applied handle and thin lines on outside and inside of the top rim. The bottom is marked: Made For Thomas Short 404 Oldham(rest is worn- probably reads"Oldhampton" Manchester. The tankard is 4.5 inches tall. The base is 4.25 inches in diameter. CONDITION: Overall wear ... moreand crazing with some scratches. Also many small chips mostly to the rims and handle. A larger chip on the top edge and inside rim and on rim of base. It measures approximately 12" at its tallest point, by 7 3/4" from handle to spout, and will hold 72 ounces(or 9 cups) I have no idea of its maker. It is in very good condition. And has no chips, cracks, or staining. Just a few minor scratches, a couple of very tiny air bubbles encased within the glass, and a couple of thin lines on the outer surface which were simply done in the making(don't really know what this is properly called, but definitely not cracked! Antique porcelain tankard/piture
Up for auction is a great antique Tankard/piture. This item is in good condition having only some minor(old chips) on top I have tried to picture. The gold trim is of interest as it is quite thick and has a slight purple color with it. Very heavy and strong design. I do not know the maker as there are no marks on the bottom with the exception of a very small red circle that I have tried to picture. Antique Art Deco Silver Plated Tankard A beautiful Art Deco Silver Plated Tankard This one with a well shaped handle. And a classic Art Deco banded design It has an engraved panel to the front. With Ivor 1930 engraved onto it I'm told that this can be polished out and re- engraved. Or the panel replaced, but is being sold as it is, and not as it could be. It is charming. And whoever Ivor was, he was obviously a man of some taste, and certainly not a pauper. this was never a cheap piece. The tankard is fully marked to the base. And made by James Deakin and Son of Sheffield. It stands about 4.5 inches or 12cm tall We've given it a good clean. And it looks wonderful Inside. There are a few little spots entirely commensurate with age and use, see photograph 4) but it displays well, and is perfectly practical for use. There are no dents ... morenor dings. George II Sterling Silver Ecclesiastical Tankard or Flagon by Thomas Tearle of London dated 1729 This Antique Tankard or Flagon measures approximately 8 1/2 inches or 217 mm across from the handle to the front of the body by 7 7/8 inches or 201 mm across the width or diameter of its foot rim from side to side. It is just under 5 inches or 126 mm across the width or diameter of its lid rim from side to side and it stands 12 inches or 305 mm tall to the top of its lid when closed. The tankard or flagon is made from 1503.6 grams of sterling silver in a circular shape with slightly tapering straight sides under a raised stepped upper rim and it stands on a raised step decorated foot. Incredible and unusual fine 950 sterling silver beer stein measures 8 1/4" high. 3 5/16" in diameter and weighs 770 grams. Please see photos for close up photos of hallmarks. The hallmarks from left to right are: zi) which was a Dutch hallmark first used in Gouda, the Netherlands in 1987 to indicate the fineness of used objects. The second mark is the German mark of a crescent moon with a crown, the third mark is 950, used primarily in Japan. The X hallmark appears to be a mark used post WWII to mark pieces that had been seized or confiscated and then resold into the domestic market. My best guess is as follows: Piece appears to have been made in Japan as a custom order for a wealthy or prominent German. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for an antique Hampshire pottery tankard pitcher in their line of Worcester styled ware. It is a cream colored pottery and as is usual has touches of gold. Mostly worn on the handle but that could be artistic licence as they were know to"antique" their pieces so to speak. The scattering of gold on the upper front and back is ... morean example of this as well. The raised leaf border near the top is glazed in a matte charcoal gray and the leaves finely outlined in gold. The design of the Pilgrims Landing is a fairly free interpretation of an old Currier& Ives print popular in that day. This presents very well and is a distinctive piece and appears larger than it's 7 1/2" height would belie. It does have a very tight hairline 2" crack that I tried to show in the inside of picture 4 but I couldn't feel it on the inside or out. The bottom has an old dirty chip in the photo it is at the 7 o'clock position. The other thing is a workmans smudge. This is the earliest mark of the Hampshire potter of Keene New Hampshire. Antique Signed c1895 Royal Kinran Nippon Tankard/Pitcher w/Handpainted Florals
This lovely tankard is well over 100 years old. It stands 13-1/4" tall and you can see how well the artist blended the browns and burgandy with the contrast of the multi colored leaves. There is a raised gold pattern that circles the base and the top. The gold is worn in areas. But then again as you look at the base or rim it may have been made that way to bring the pattern to the surface. The gold on the handle, I believe is just faded. Midway up it begins to form ridges that seem to give the pattern a ripple effect. Take a moment to look at all of the pictures, as there is a flaw on the rim, looks like it may have been knocked over and an attempt to repair it, as best they could, but it created a hairline crack that you can see in the pictures, but as it sits on a shelf or table it doesn't seem to affect its beautiful ambiance. ... moreYou may know how to repair porcelain or know someone who does. An exceptional antique stein or tankard or possibly a pitcher. Brilliant blue milk glass, very large size, about 12 5/16" in height and a beautiful ornate cast pewter lid. It appears to be hand blown with the pontil mark on the bottom and the applied handle. The lid is engraved with the words"Bum Andenken" On the bottom there is a series of engraved numbers"380-07-0027" The condition is very good. Some light oxidation to the pewter which I have left alone not wanting to ruin its original patina for the new owner. Antique Pearlware Painted Blue White Tankard Mug 18th Century
English Pearlware mug or tankard Hand painted blue and white pearlware Late 18th Century An attractive and solid antique. Late 18th century pearlware tankard or mug, likely from between 1770 and 1800. Hand painted underglaze in blue with a floral decoration. This English tankard was probably made in Staffordshire, Leeds, Yorkshire, or Liverpool, but could also be from one of the smaller ceramics centers in. Thinly potted with finely shaped handle. Light weight, as is common with 18th century pieces. The pooled glaze shows its real blue, cobalt color. Unmarked, as these items for everyday use were almost never marked. Note that some of the photographs with this listing were taken with flash. Some without flash, so the ones with flash look lighter. Good condition. Used but solid, with nice appearance, testimony of a long life of a simple but ... moregood quality object. It has what appears light and even discoloration. One small chip on the inside of the rim, see photographs. No cracks or hair lines. Some very fine crazing of the glaze on the inside. The glaze feels a bit thin from use at the rim. The part of the base where it touches the surface on which it stands shows signs of wear. No repairs. Height: 3 3/4 inches/ 9.5 cm Maximum Width: 4 1/4 inches/ 10.8 cm Total weight: 5.70 oz/ 160 gr Shipping and insurance: Buyer pays exact shipping costs and insurance.
