Antique Vintage German Bisque Doll or Girl figurine Planter with Cherub or Angel
You are bidding on one vintage bisque figurine made in Germany. This is a nice size piece. To me it looks like paradise. This is a very whimsicle piece. It measures approx 8 1/4 inches tall. Across the bottom 7 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. Measured across the front approx 8 inches long. This item is marked. It appears to be a G Dep and a number 8712 etched in the bottom. This is of a girl with a cherub or angel looking into a planter of some sought. On the bottom are two ducks drinking water from a water fall. Very nice piece. There are a few small chips. Around the top vase type part at the tips. I see three of the tips have small chips. On the cherub or boy his hand has two chips one on the inside and one on the outside. His purple wrap also has a small chip on the front and a larger chip on the side of it. I see a little chip ... morealso on one of the pieces of wood along the bottom basket. All chips are small. I used a magnifying glass to find most of them. There is some gold paint wear on the bottom of the girls skirt and other places. I am not sure what the makers marks for these type of items are, so I can not tell you who made them. I will however try to capture them in a picture for you to see. I was told this was German bisque, but again, I have no way of knowing for sure. This is an adorable item. Please see all pictures. I wish I could add more than twelve pictures for some of these pieces. This is an estate sale find, actually the bisque items came from a place that attends auctions and also purchases entire estates. I am not an expert. I will describe items to the best of my ability and tell you what I see. Because I am not perfect it is possible for me to miss something that is important to an expert. If I did not mention any other issues, I do not see any other issues. All of the pieces seem a bit dusty and could use to be wiped down with a damp cloth. She holds what looks like an ice cream cone in her right hand.Photo 4. Did she raid the ice box? Her legs are bent at her knees with her right foot resting under her left foot. She is ready for bed in her white Victorian night gown which has a round lacy collar& matching short lacy sleeves. It gathers& drapes nicely in the front& back. Her night cap has blue lining& it is gathered all the way around. She has an adorable& sweet face with chubby rosy cheeks. Lush red lips. Dark eyes& one stroke light brown eyebrows. Photo 4. Depicting two cherubs. This piece is a lovely sage green with white relief figures and measures approx. 6.75" wide x 8.5" long. This fine plaque is fully marked with the c.1894-1900 blue starburst mark for"Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur" in the town of Volkstedt, Germany on the back. It has impressed inventory numbers on the top of the edge. Has the original brass hanging ring. There are 2 holes on the top left& right of the plaque. The cherubs are in excellent shape- all delicate fingers and toes are intact. The only real flaw I see is it looks like the tip of one of the cherubs wing has chipped(see 12th pic) This is still an exquisite and very hard to find piece. For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. This pair of antique figurines is marked on the bottom with a blue mark which I could not make out. They are 10 1/2-11" tall. The lady's forefinger is broken on her right hand and there are 6 chips to the bottom edge of the base. The man's left hand looks like it may have been reattatched in the past. There is a small chip to the front of the hat in his right hand, and there is a chip to the base at the bottom edge. There is a firing crack in the folds of the lady's dress on the front. These figurines are hand painted with great detailing. Most of the figures are unglazed and there are gold highlights. A beautiful pair!

RARE* 16” ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE HEUBACH GIRL W/ FAN*GORGEOUS* This beautiful figurine was found at a recent local sale. She is an unmarked Heubach. I have an identical one that IS marked. Purchased long ago along with her mate and also a collection of about 50 Heubachs…she is guaranteed Heubach. As any Heubach collector can tell you, they are not all marked. This girl stands a massive 16” tall. She is holding a fan above her head. The fan is embellished with purple hand painted flowers. This girl has a very serene look on her face. See close-up pictures. She has intaglio blue eyes and coral colored blush and lips. There are ever so slight dimples on her cheeks. Her blonde hair is done in a top knot with a pink bow. Her dress is a pale greenish yellow with purple and gold embellishments of flowers and leaves and scrolls. There is one flaw ... morewhich is a shallow chip at the front right bottom edge. It has been painted in(paint matches well) and is not very visible. On the base. You might see slight smudges. This is where the painter held the item while decorating it. Mine also has it as does a few of my other larger Heubachs. It is slight, but want to mention it. If you are a Heubach collector, you know what I mean. This girl is large and heavy and will ship FedEx well packed. Pictures are taken under different lighting. Some flash, some not, sometimes outdoors so there is no question about what it looks like. This is a gorgeous oil lamp swinger figurine depicting two children. A boy and a girl piano baby type figures sitting on a swing. Approximately 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide. This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This pieces is in very good condition and almost no wear to the paint at all. There is only one very small chip to the back of her bonnet as can be seen in the images.
