Antique porcelain ironstone creamware moss rose pattern cake plate platter
For your consideration today is an antique porcelain cake plate or platter. This plate appears to be a thick porcelain- maybe ironstone or creamware- thicker and heavier than a fine bone china would be. In the center of the plate is a victorian era style moss rose design in pink with yellow highlights and greenery. There is a very slight extension of the plate where the platter handles are- this area is embossed in the china and further enhanced by the gold painted design on either side. Finally. There is a thin gold highlight all around the rim of this cake plate. The plate is in very good condition- gold highlights are worn as you would expect from usual wear and appropriate for age. There is a glossy glaze on this plate and evidence of just a very few small scratches less than 1 inch each- no chips, crazing, cracks, stains or other problems ... morethat we can see. The plate diameter is 9-1/8 inches and if the handles are included this increases to only 9-3/8 inches across.so, handles extend only about 1/8 inch from the plate on either side. Moss rose colors are rich and do not appear to be faded. Plate is not marked although there is a small painted'x' on the back of the plate(see pic) This would make a nice addition to an antique moss rose collection.or just a nice vintage shelf piece for your country home. The WASP, fighting and capturing the British Sloop of War, the Frolic on October 18, 1812. on the other side is a transfer of the"Arms of the United States" depicting the Eagle with Shield and arrows with a slogan under the transfer which says"Under this we Profper" I don't know if it was an intentional misspelling instead of"Prosper" Right under the spout is a picture of a Roman Soldier with the inscription below"Liberty" On the bottom is has black, an outline of a Boston Minuteman with Drums and hard to read is an impressed"USA" and a number below which ... moreI cannot read, but would guess it is GL-71. Priced to sell. Thanks for visiting my listing and good luck in your search. Item# 1272- 2

| ~*~Antique LEEDS creamware PEPPER POT MUFFINEER SHAKER Green Feather Edge~*~*~*~, Hello.Thank you for viewing my auctions! Please browse my others while you're here! I'm trying to get started listing regular again but will take time to get a lot on because I'll be restricted by eBay until I have X amount of new feedback. First. I've been away for a while caring for my Mom so I don't have'recent' feedback, but do have perfect feedback for 14+ years so please bid with confidence. I appreciate your business and I will treat you the way I hope to be treated on eBay! Please scroll down for all the pictures. There are 10 pictures and they are a very important part of the description. I do my best to describe my items but am not an expert. So please ask questions if uncertain! This will close LATE on a Monday night(sorry! ... moreThis is a rarely found and highly collectible antique green feather edge Leeds creamware Pepper Pot. Some people call it a Muffineer. Salt shaker or sugar shaker. Mostly found in blue, not green. Dates from the late 1700s to aprox first quarter or so of the 1800s. My opinion(best guess) is probably early 1800s. This fine example has a top that was molded as a seperate piece and was applied and fitted to the base while the clay was still wet. It has a footed/pedestal base with wonderful form and coloring. Green runs around the feather edge band on the body and green on top. It measures almost 5" tall. The base measures 2" As seen in the pictures there are aprox 5 holes with chips. Which is very common, and a very, very tight hairline on the body that could have been caused by the firing process since I don't see any place that could have taken a hit. It's very tight and very stable and not in any danger of breaking. All the years I've had it, it's never changed or gotten bigger. The band around the top has a little wear in spots but doesn't feel like chips, more like the glaze has rubbed or flaked off. That said,

Come from a very good local Dallas estate, an old time decorator in our city. Old handwritten antique shop label from Thomas-Seiffert antiques identifies them as"Early 19th c English Creamware Baskets with Underplates. ANTIQUE COPELAND SPODE AESTHETIC JAPANESE 6 CREAMWARE DINNER PLATES HAND PAINTED
This listing is for a set of six antique Copeland(Spode) creamware dinner plates. These plates date from the Anglo-Japanese aesthetic period and were manufactured in 1877 and 1878. The Great Exhibition of 1851 and the opening of exports from Japan created a huge demand for all things with Asian/Japanese design. This set is a perfect example of Copeland Spode's creating patterns to meet customer demand of the time. Not only are these plates in exceptional condition for their age. But it is RARE to find 6 in the same pattern. DESCRIPTION: The dinner plates are cream ware(earthenware) They are hand enameled over a black transfer design in rich cinnabar red. Green, blue, mustard yellow, amber brown, rose, and aqua. The outer rim has a thin mustard yellow band. Both the outer rim and inner rim are cinnabar red. The painting varies somewhat ... morefrom plate to plate. Most of the variation is the amber brown painting of the furniture piece in the center of the plate. In the two earliest plates made in September of 1877 the furniture is not painted. The 3 plates from Oct 1877 and Feb 1878 have partial painting of the piece and the one plate from Jan 1878 is completely over painted. As is usual for hand enameled plates there is some variation in the depth of color from plate to plate. The plates measure an overall 10" with the slightly recessed center diameter of 7.25" The plates are 1" high at the outer rim. The back stamp is an impressed mark COPELAND B 5. The date marks are(2) S77, 2) O77, J78, and F78. They are marked in red enamel 2/528. CONDITION: These plates have some dark specks that are original to manufacture. The plates have some scratches that are age related from usage. There is one plate that has a small chip on the back. The mustard outer rim is complete on some plates. Historic Estate piece: THE 1787 BOSTON FUSILIERS unique Creamware WINE BOTTLE DECANTER Fusiliers creamware pitcher sold for $11.000 at auction last year See photos above and below This may be a highly important piece because its so scarce? DESCRIPTION: This is quite a remarkable ... morepiece. To have survived all these years. Several Liverpool Creamware Jugs(pitchers) from England with the same design, the crest of the Boston Fusiliers have survived, and were definitely made late 1790. This has the same identical design- but the tall jugs had cold paint touches of color. Whereas this is all black on creamy white. One of the 18th century jugs has a home in Boston Museum, since 1943, and one just sold last year at Skinner Auction house for $11,000! SEE PHOTOS BELOW If this unique WINE DECANTER dates from the same time period. It could be a highly important piece because its so uniquely scarce. It is not dated so we dont know its exact age. But we have NEVER seen one like this in all our research. Perhaps through the decades, the thin neck design led to breakage through the years, making this a rare survivor. We suspect ours was made for the 100th Anniversary of the Boston Fusiliers. Patterned after the earlier jugs- 1787-1887. We are guessing this based on the fact that there is no color, and from the estate box it was in. Any info. Please share! We aim to be as correct as possible and never intend to mislead. Whether

Rare ANTIQUE 18THC ENGLISH CREAMWARE PEARLWARE TEA CADDY w/ OLD DUTCH SILVER TOP
I am listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is a lovely and possibly rare ANTIQUE ENGLISH FLUTED CREAMWARE(OR PEARLWARE? TEA CADDY JAR WITH FLOWER DESIGNS and DUTCH HALLMARKED SILVER COLLAR AND LID. Probably c.1790-1800 vintage. Caddy is approx. 5" tall and 3-1/4" diameter. Extra-nice tea caddy with the fluted sides. I am assuming the silver top was added later in it's history to cover damaged collar. The silver is hallmarked on both the collar and the lid with an older Dutch sword silver hallmark along with a strange triangular-shaped hallmark with designs in it next to sword which I am unfamiliar with. Interior of collar is lined with brass. The tea caddy has some flaws. You can see a chipped area showing under bottom of silver collar where the collar was damaged. Also a single hairline ... morecrack going down shoulder on one side. The bottom has a chipped hole spot on it which goes through to interior. Another chipped spot to the bottom rim. The silver lid fits nice and snugly on caddy. There are some mild irregularities on lid but nothing bad. Very pretty piece of antique English creamware. Coming fresh out of an antique English pottery collector's estate this past weekend. INSURANCE INCLUDED in the shipping total. Massachusetts buyers pay the 6.25% sales tax. Look for my other nice Old Items I am listing as well. See listing for payment and shipping details. Feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Antique English Ceramic Creamware Mochaware Tea Pot Charming Toffee Color!
I've had a small rash of non-payers recently. Which I haven't fretted about, since in every case the second offering has yielded a wonderful new client I wouldn't have met otherwise. I won't weigh down this little beauty with the ponderous word"rare. but, truly, I haven't seen another remotely like it in thirty years of gazing intently at every piece of English pottery that strays within 500 yards of me. The color is simply delectable. As evidenced by the fact that I can't think of a single word to describe it that isn't yummy-butterscotch, toffee, farm fresh eggs. Much more than that. It will lift your spirits, as only antiques that have been loved for generations can do. In this connection, I see a wee cosmetic touch here and there, as illustrated in the photographs, but they are done with the aim of keeping ... moreup appearances merely, the way you would patch a favorite pair of jeans, certainly not to be deceiving or of making the piece posh enough for the company of snooty porcelain pieces in a glistening vitrine. Put it on your windowsill(with a little museum putty on its underside) and smile the day away. I don't know if I'm strictly correct in referring to it as mochaware. But it has that playfulness and is of the period and perhaps my fellow ebayers will enlighten me(gently! Study the photographs and please ask questions. I always answer swiftly, honestly, and at length; glance at my feedback and you'll see how well this has served me. And please give this little honey a home. Because it will serve you faithfully.

RARE Early English Molded Creamware WILSON Antique 1795 Staffordshire ( Neale )
Fantastic Antique English Creamware Plate with Molded Border of raised dolphin fish surrounding a trident alternating with a sea shell marine embellishment. All surrounding a wonderful Hand Painted Dutch-looking windmill scene in the center. Attributed to Robert Wilson dating to c1795. William Chaffers"Marks and Monograms on Pottery and Porcelain of the Renaissance and Modern Periods" 1876 states: In 1778 Robert Wilson was associated with[ James] Neale at Hanley. And the style of the firm from 1778 to 1787 was Neale& Co. Other parters having joined the concern. In a Directory of 1787 we find the firm spoken of as Neale& Wilson. After the retirement or death of Neale. Robert Wilson continued the manufactory alone; he brought to perfection that kind of pottery known as chalk body. Of excellent quality for finess of grain and ... moresmooth beautiful glaze, of a fine cream colour; he married a daughter of Elija Mayer. This mark[WILSON] is on an eartherware plate. White ground, raised ornaments, dolphins, c. on the border, in the centre a gothic castle, in the S. Kensington Museum, and on a large copy of the Portland vase 12 in. high. White figures on grey ground, beautifully executed, the name impressed. Robert was succeeded by his brother, David Wilson. Who also inherited his fortune; his name alone occurs in the map of 1802, he eventually took his sons into partnership. The mystaffordshirefigures website states: On 27 February 1789. James Neale sold the Church Works to Robert Wilson, Potter. Perhaps Wilson had an ownership stake already. For in 1788 he had bought a large plot of land adjacent to the works, and records of that transaction show the Church Works boundary as“Mr Wilson’s Garden wall. Neale and Wilson probably retained an association of sorts because a document dated 24 April 1792 records that the“Copartnership” between Robert Wilson and James Neale“expired” on that day. James Neale then continued operating his London emporium. But his direct involvement in manufacture ended. He died in
