Antique set of 4 cast iron furniture casters 1.75" wheels hardware lot
This is a matched set of 4 cast iron furniture casters. The wheels are 1- 3/4" in diameter. The tapered shanks are 2- 3/4" long and just about 1/2" in diameter at the base. These will raise a piece by 2 inches. The casters roll freely. They have some surface rust, and they are not bent or otherwise damaged. I have a complete set of four ball and claw style feet for free standing bath tubs. These are very heavy cast iron. Each foot weighs about 3 pounds! Here are a couple of measurements for you: Height: About 6.5 inches Width at claw and ball: About 3 inches Width opposite claw: About 5 inches Length of tub mount: About 3.75 inches Length of tub slot in mount: About 2 inches As you can see in pic number 5. One of the feet has two metal pieces taped to the back. These are the only two present. I am assuming that they have something to do with the mounting of the pieces to the tub. I am not certain but someone obviously taped them on there for a reason. I do not think that the finish is original. It appears that they have been primed. They are marked on back but we couldn't make it out so w e scraped some of the paint off on the back side and it looks like it reads 1874 not sure. see pic) They need a good cleaning and repainting. Set of 4 Victorian Cast Iron Table Legs/Vtg Sculpted Horse Leg/15" Tall/Original
Set of four Victorian cast iron legs. Sculpted in the shape of horse legs. Lovely antique set of table legs measuring approximately 15" tall. Each weighs over 3 lbs and has four notches on top to screw legs onto a table. Bench, ottoman, chair or any number of wonderful creations you can make with these legs. Took many of the photographs with the legs upside down, hopefully to show them off better. Much of the off white paint is missing and there is newsprint stuck to the upper flat side of legs. Where paint is missing it looks as though there may be slight surface rust. But running my hand over one leg, it did not get dirty with rust, so it may just be the metal's natural patina. 4 Antique Glass Ball and Cast Iron Claw Foot Leg Tips
Hi. You are bidding on these antique/vintage four glassball and cast iron foot leg tips with a face J.I hope I took enough pictures so you can see the condition. All four of thebottoms do show that they have been previously used and are scuffed up. ONLYONE is in nice used condition with only a few minor chips in the glass ball.The other three do have worse flaws. One has a small dent in the glass ball. Itlooks to me it was made this way I don’t see how it could be damaged this way…Another one that I did take a few pictures of has a small hole in the glassball. The measure 6 1/2" across, the bracket sticks out about 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" the slot opening is 1 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. They stand about 8" tall. They seem to be in very good condition, minimal paint loss, don't know if the paint is original or not. The set of four feet weigh almost 22 pounds. This nice set has been painted gold and the paint shows some wear as is appropriate to the age. There is some light corrosion(see images) The blown glass shows scuffing on the bottoms as is normal but the glass otherwise is clear, un-chipped or cracked. They measure 4 inches tall from the bottom of the glass to the top of the leg, and they are 1 inch in diameter at the opening of the leg. This is 4 matching cast iron ball and claw feet that have been painted a soft gloss white. They measure about 7.5" tall and about 5.5" wide. They are probably off a tub. But could be from a stove, I am not sure. They would look great on a piece of furniture! One of these has a chip off one side, but certainly could be used on the back side so it wouldn't show.
