Three piano legs from a vintage grand piano. castors on bottom of legs and metal plates on top. Some of the screws holding the castors in are missing. One screw broken off. cracks in wood legs, veneer peeled off, bigs dings, dents, etc in wood. The castors are worn discolored rust. the part of the brace on the top of the leg where the metal plates are found. Each leg meassures approx. 18" long and about 4 3/4" wide. The wheel measures about 1 3/4 inches in diameter. I could not find a set similar to compare. There is a name on the inside of each caster however with the wear I can not see it well enough to read. Very unusual gothic looking antique salvaged pieces purchased at an estate sale. Heavy poured metal or cast iron. Looks like decorative trim that was screwed over a table leg. Could have been near a fireplace as one piece has a couple of spots that looked like it got near heat and is a little damaged(see photos) They have three holes to screw them onto something. They measures approximately 29" tall. At the top is a head- the middle section is extremely ornate- at the bottom is a paw/foot. Rare find. Price is for the pair. About: 4 1/4" Bottom of Leg Circumference. Around brass-tone bottom, about: 2 1/4" Each set of legs features a"buttress" for added support. Table legs are hollow but have a nice weight. Condition Structurally. These legs are in very good condition. Cosmetically, the paint is scratched in areas, the brass-tone bottoms have some corrosion, and the screws are rusty.
