Lot includes 4 matching plus 2 matching antique brass cup/ swivel casters. One of the larger casters is locked up- both the swivel and the wheel. The larger ones have wheels that are just under 1 3/8" wide and 5/8" thick- the cups are 1 1/2" wide to the outside edges(inside is just under 1/4" wide and it tapers down) the cups are 1 1/4" tall. And the entire piece is about 2 3/4" tall. The smaller ones have wheels that are just over 1 1/8" wide and 7/16" thick- the cups are just over 1 1/4" wide to the outside edges(inside is about 1 1/8" and it tapers down) the cups are just over 1 1/8" tall, and the entire piece is about 2 7/16" tall.

Vintage Set of 4 Brass Wheel Casters Swivel around the Stem
Set of 4 vintage brass wheel casters with brass yokes have swivel posts in good working condition. These casters measure 2.75 inches long including the post. The caster posts are meant to fit inside a socket with 9/32 inch inside diameter 1.5 inches long. They would be used to support a mid weight piece of furniture and raise its height by 1.25 inches. A caster set like this could have been used on a table where the post was inserted into a socket in the leg. The socket could have been metal or just a hole drilled in the wood as sometimes seen on contemporary furniture. Please view the pictures carefully. UP FOR BIDS Vintage Brass Swivel Furniture Casters Set Of Four Complete With Stems These vintage rolling swivel style brass casters are in good working condition and were used on our vintage upholstered chair. These casters worked great on our rugs but when we removed the rugs and refinished the floors. They were too hard and scratched the finish so we replaced them with a set of soft rubber casters. All are in good working condition and are solid, weighing 6 oz. each. The one caster stem is missing a side piece that locks under the lip but the remaining side piece will hold the caster in place. I would eventually replace it though. All show signs of cosmetic wear and will look nice once cleaned and polished. The last picture listed will show all four of the stems with the stem that is missing the side being the last stem in the pic. Recently Purchased at a Estate Sale in Southern Indiana. Very Well Kept! Each Caster Measures approximately 2 3/8" Overall Length including Square Socket End. The Metal Dowel on each Caster is 1/4"Round in Diameter x 1" Long. The Wheel on each Caster is approx. 1 1/8" round in diameter x 5/8" thick. The Opening on each Square Socket Cover is Approx. 7/8" at the Top and Narrows/Tapers to 5/8" and 1" Long. Each Socket Cover has a 1/8" Hole for Securing and includes 3 of the 4 original brass slotted screws. 1 screw was not with the set when I purchased. I did find a small slotted screw for the missing one that may work if interested I will send ... morealong. Normal wear. Scratches, scuffing, staining, dirt, grime, tarnishing may be noted on each caster and cover from years of service, storage, use. 8 Antique Furniture Swivel Wheel Casters. Measuring 3 1/2" total height, the post are 1 1/2" wheels are 1" diameter and 5/8" thick. Casters are brass metal with hard aged wood wheels, marked 40 on the wheels and there is a maker name but can't fully decipher the name? One caster has a break on one side, see pictures, it is still usable but not as sturdy as the others. No breaks or cracks to the other 7 casters.

Front to back is approx. 2" and the stem only is 1" The wheel itself is just over 1/2" wide from the front with a 1" diameter. I can not find any that have the screw type stems and do not know exactly what type of furniture these came off ... moreof. All issues are pictured so be sure to check them.
