ANTIQUE SOLID WALNUT HAND CARVED FURNITURE PEDIMENT PIECES
Up for bid is several pieces of an antique solid walnut furniture pediment or gallery from a Victorian or Eastlake era piece of furniture. The pieces are primitively hand carved as well as hand made. And although there are a few missing pieces, there do seem to be enough to create a nice gallery around the top of a bureau, buffet, dresser, and/or etc. The pieces are approximately 1/2" in thickness by an overall length for the longest center piece of about 21" On some pieces there is carving on both sides. My guess is the carver was practicing or was doing"do overs" in order to get the best look that they wanted to achieve before finishing the piece. The top center carving piece does have a chip or missing piece of wood, though it does not take away from the overall glamour of the pieces. SALVAGED FURNITURE HEAVILY CARVED WOOD PEDIMENT.ALMOST 17" WIDE. ABOUT 11" TALL. THIS IS THE SALVAGED TOP SECTION OF A LARGER PIECE. THE BOTTOM has some broken off pieces. they can be carved in a manner to be unnoticeable and could use some plastic wood as filler. and it can be made to be straight across the bottom with a little tlc. it is basically all there but does require some carving and filler touchup for the little missing pieces. the gold paint is exstensively chipped needs to be refinished. the back looks like some reinforcement wood was applied years ago to help keep it safe. there are no cracks. Just chips. there is a carved long neck flying goose at the bottom and carved flowers in vase at the top. with leaf and ribbon design through out. the pediment is about 1 1/4" to 2" thick at various areas. this is a ... morebeautiful piece to be restored. selling as is as a restoration project. shabby and chic.

This sale is for 3 pieces of antique solid oak furniture salvage. It consists of a large carved pediment measuring 36 1/2" long. And 7" high as well as 2 side pieces measuring 15" long, 3 1/2" wide. They measure 1 and 1/2" 2" of solid oak. One piece has some filler on the edge where a chip was taken out. Great carvings on each piece and they came from the top section of a very large oak sideboard.

Lot of antique/ vintage baroque architecture/furniture salvage wood pediments These pieces are broken and not sure if any can be put together but thought I'd give them a try that someone may be able to use them as they have a great design. Payment is due within 3 days of auctions end.
