This piece measures: 27" tall. the dresser bottom is 15" tall and the mirror is 12" tall. X 17" wide x 8 1/2" deep. It has 3 pull out drawers. This old child size toy dresser is really a nice primitive piece. Made out of wood and scrap pieces of crates for some lucky little girl. Thr drawer pulls are old thread spools. Not sure whether it is a salesman sample or a miniature collectible, but it is a very nice primitive piece. Not sure what the wood is, it is painted with old pale green paint Three drawers with original wood drawer pulls, the top pull is different, not sure if it was broken, nicely constructed with beadboard sides and empire detail. Old unfinished wood on the back, with the top third missing. Beautiful Primitive Antique Unfinished Dovetail 4 Drawer Dresser
This is an absolutely beautiful antique 4 drawer dresser. It appears that the dresser has been prepped for restoration. The wood is bare except for some white brush strokes on the back(pictured) No oil. No lacquer, no wax to remove. The wood is solid and heavy! The drawers are hand dove tail construction. Locks on each drawer(as seen in photos) are the original key hole type locks. There is no key. This is a perfect restoration project! 3 of the 8 wood knobs are missing. Vintage or antique glass knobs would look fantastic! One drawer will need a small drawer ledge on the inside but all drawers fit nicely, no warping, no water staining. I've cleaned the top of this dresser to get an idea of the grain and it is beautiful. Perfect project for restoring the natural wood, chalk painting or simply a coat of linseed oil. Antique Pine Dresser Bureau Handmade Primitive Needs TLC Pick up Only
My grandmother made furniture. Or rebuilt pieces from parts she found in thrift shops. She was born in 1886, came to this country when she was in her early 20's, died in her 90's. I was told by my mother(also gone) that my grandmother made this dresser in the 1940's. The dresser is approximately 38" wide. 18" deep 34" tall. Give or take here and there. I uploaded a lot of pictures so that you can get an idea of the many scratches and other signs of wear. One of the drawers has a hole in the bottom of it from a knot in the wood. The wood is very dry. There is wear around the pulls. The wood has a nice patina for the most part, but you can definitely see the age. The keyholes were not positioned perfectly(no, I don't know what happen to the keys. The backs are separating from the bottoms of two of the drawers. ... moreOne of the photos shows the inside of a drawer front where the keyhole was installed.you can see the cuts in the wood are not professionally made.
