I have a complete set of four ball and claw style feet for free standing bath tubs. These are very heavy cast iron. Each foot weighs about 3 pounds! Here are a couple of measurements for you: Height: About 6.5 inches Width at claw and ball: About 3 inches Width opposite claw: About 5 inches Length of tub mount: About 3.75 inches Length of tub slot in mount: About 2 inches As you can see in pic number 5. One of the feet has two metal pieces taped to the back. These are the only two present. I am assuming that they have something to do with the mounting of the pieces to the tub. I am not certain but someone obviously taped them on there for a reason. I do not think that the finish is original. It appears that they have been primed. Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era. These ball and claw feet were removed from an antique. Likely Victorian era, table but are the right diameter for a chair or stool. They are heavy cast metal and clear glass. The white on our photo is flash reflection. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The cast claws are in beautiful condition, of course not as polished(gold color) as they once were but likely they can be professional polished or plated. They measure 4" tall from the bottom of the glass, i.e. the floor, to the top. The top openings are about 3/4" in diameter. All four of thebottoms do show that they have been previously used and are scuffed up. ONLYONE is in nice used condition with only a few minor chips in the glass ball.The other three do have worse flaws. One has a small dent in the glass ball. Itlooks to me it was made this way I don’t see how it could be damaged this way…Another one that I did take a few pictures of has a small hole in the glassball. There are no back legs- The ornamental ones were used in the front and plain square ones in the back. I am thinking that they may be black walnut or mahogany. They do show considerable wear and have several chipped areas. The center leg is in pretty good condition the corner legs show the most wear and damage. With a coat or two of stain these areas will not be that noticeable- and who lays on the floor to look at the legs on your couch anyway besides the dog? This is a pair of cast iron painted claw feet from an old bathtub. One of the two has a piece broken off on the back. The measure 6 1/2" across, the bracket sticks out about 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" the slot opening is 1 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. They stand about 8" tall. They seem to be in very good condition, minimal paint loss, don't know if the paint is original or not. The set of four feet weigh almost 22 pounds. These are two ball-and-claw feet rescued from a chair. Wood. Please note that the bottom edge of one foot and a little more wear than the other. The entire length is approximately 14 1/4" The square post is approximately 5" long and 1 3/4" square. From the top carved area to the bottom of the foot is approximately 9 1/4" The bottom claw foot is approximately 2 1/2" in diameter. The square block still has the pegs and most of the staples have been removed.

These claw feet measure approximately 6.75 inches tall. 4.5 inches wide across the top, and 3 inches deep. The have some rusting and multiple layers of old paint, but there are no cracks or flaws that I could find. Instead of a claw they show what appears to be a feathered serpent with its mouth around the glass ball. If you want to read about the feathered serpent of the Mayans. Which I find fascinating, read the last paragraph of this description. If you don’t like reading about sacrifice. Skip the last paragraph. The glass balls do have dings and scratch marks. But no cracks. One of the balls has a manufacturing defect in that they made 2 flat spots instead of one(for the bottom of the ball) The extra flat spot is smaller than the one at the bottom. The metal appears to be in pretty decent condition with a few rough spots. One of the feet does have a crack in the metal near the ball that is about 5/16” long. I'm not sure what type of wood this is but there are two tones(might be called inlay) A lot of carving detail on this table! Ball and claw feet.It isn't perfect. There are a couple flaws that need fixed but in the right hands I'm sure it could be amazing. I don't know about fixing them or if this one has or has not been touched previously. If anyone has any information on it I'd love to know myself. I took pictures of the under belly because I recall hearing that you can tell age by screws. We have a very nice set of 4 antique ball and claw feet/legs. These are 4" in length. The ball is 1 1/4" in diameter, shows definite signs of wear- some little nicks in the glass. All have several bubbles in the glass. Bottom of balls shows lots of wear. Top opening is roughtly 7/8" Just salvaged these today from old piano stool, so we have the original screws to go with. This is 4 matching cast iron ball and claw feet that have been painted a soft gloss white. They measure about 7.5" tall and about 5.5" wide. They are probably off a tub. But could be from a stove, I am not sure. They would look great on a piece of furniture! One of these has a chip off one side, but certainly could be used on the back side so it wouldn't show. Dating from the late 1800s, this 3” diameter ball for a claw and ball foot has some impact scars and wear spots but no losses or cracks and is nicely sun-purpled. Here are 4 antique claw feet for furniture. They are iron with glass balls. They measure 3.5 down the back and 1" across the opening. They are in excellent condition.
