I was told at the auction that it is an oak plant stand but it is pretty tall so I will let you be the judge what it is or what you would like to use it for. It does have an awesome oak veneer sheet over the actual fluted wood but it does have some chipped off pieces as shown in the pictures. I am not sure what type of wood is underneath or on the feet. It is a unique and beautiful piece. I was also told it was from the early 1900's or possibly older. It measures 45-1/2" tall x 20" x 16" at the base/feet and the fluted round piece measures 5-3/4" in diameter outside and 4" in diameter inside. I have provided several photo's to view and consider them to be as part of the description. Please view and study them carefully and read the description. Chest of drawers has a tiger stripe veneer, in overall great condition, but veneer has some cracking on the front corners. This piece is roughly 4 ft tall x 4 ft wide x 2 ft deep, and it has 4 full drawers as well as 5 small accessory drawers. The drawers have dovetail joints. Some of the drawer bottoms on the full drawers are coming apart, could be easily repaired. There are dust frames in between the full drawers. It is being sold as is. ANTIQUE Mahogany Empire Style 2 Over 2 Drawer Dresser C1800's. Great find in an estate. Though it was painted still in great condition. Does need some restoration please read further to find out the flaws. Item in great condition for its age. One of the wheels falls out of its hole. There is a couple small nicks along the edge of the top. The top only has one screw holding it on. Some one has painted the sides brown. The top has some scratching and a couple holes where a mirror(not included) would have mounted. The drawer pulls have been changed to brass ones and missing one of them.
