Machine Age cast iron adjustable table legs antique vintage old cool DIY
Here is a nice set of Kenney Bros& Wolkins cast iron adjustable table legs. They would make a great coffee table. End table, or whatever else you can dream up for them. Great industrial look to them. Legs are in great shape with no cracks or repairs. Refer to the pictures for finish condition. There is light rust in places. They could be easily cleaned up and painted or left as is to really show their age. The legs are 11 and 3/4" wide at the base, and 7 and 1/2" wide at the top. They adjust from 15 and 1/2" tall at the lowest to 20 and 1/4" tall at the highest. feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking.

I have a complete set of four ball and claw style feet for free standing bath tubs. These are very heavy cast iron. Each foot weighs about 3 pounds! Here are a couple of measurements for you: Height: About 6.5 inches Width at claw and ball: About 3 inches Width opposite claw: About 5 inches Length of tub mount: About 3.75 inches Length of tub slot in mount: About 2 inches As you can see in pic number 5. One of the feet has two metal pieces taped to the back. These are the only two present. I am assuming that they have something to do with the mounting of the pieces to the tub. I am not certain but someone obviously taped them on there for a reason. I do not think that the finish is original. It appears that they have been primed. joe calcite INDUSTRIAL CAST IRON WORKBENCH/ TABLE LEGS This offering is for a set of vintage or antique cast iron table or workbench(work bench) legs. These are very heavy duty.carrying an eight foot work top when found. They have a notch built in to hold a stretcher/ reinforcing board. The top piece has a built in 1.5" step up from front to back. As well as a brace for a backsplash. There are no maker's or foundry marks that I found. The rust is very light and much of it is'flash' rust caused by all the rain and moisture in the last weeks. No cracks were found. One small chip on one foot can be seen in photo 11. There is some reddish paint on the front of one leg. The height from the floor to the lower brace is 9" To the top of the front section is 30.5" to the top of the rear section is 31" to the top of ... morethe backsplash brace is 37" On the top, the front/lower section is 13.5" deep, and the rear/upper section is 15.5" deep. The usable space between the front and back legs, for a shelf for instance, is 15" The distance from the back of the splash brace to the front lip is 30.5" Distance between the outer edges of the front and back feet is 24" Each leg weighs just under 60 pounds. joe calcite INDUSTRIAL OAK& CAST IRON MACHINE LEGS STAND BASE This offering is for a set of cast iron sewing machine legs/ stand. BUT WITH A DIFFERENCE. I've seen the queen anne style legs, with the curve and'shoulder' part of the cast iron. In this case, the cast iron legs come with oak legs with a groove in the back to fit snugly over the iron and screw on from the rear. This gives you the option of using just the iron legs, or dressing them up with oak as your mood and decor dictate. To complete the transformation, I have included the trim pieces from the original upper cabinet so that the oak runs top to bottom. Unfortunately, the lower 5" of one is broken off, but placed on the side facing a wall or sofa, it would go unnoticed by most. Given the unique character, many wouldn't care. There are no cracks or breaks ... morein the iron. The paint was originally brown. But is now heavily worn with some light rust in places. The finish on the oak was dried out and flaking badly, so the rest of the finish was removed with a stiff brush and the exposed faces were clear coated. The wood itself is also worn. The legs measure 16" wide at the top, 13.5" wide at the bottom. Total height is 28" The stretcher is 23" wide, but can be replaced with a heavy threaded rod to place them closer together or further apart. Casters work but have a few flattened spots where its been dragged perpendicular to the wheels. Bases are cast iron for the bottom base and that base is 16 1/2" toe to toe-22" end to end. The center post is tubular steel and the upper mounting plate is steel and 11" diameter. Base stands 27 5/8" tall without a top on it. The tops that were on these was 29 3/4" square by 1 1/4" thick and were covered by wood grain look formica. The formica does have some chipping. Bases weigh around 16 lbs each before packing. They have paint wear and some minor rust. No metal parts are chipped.Cracked or broken. I have a total of 4 tables-you are buying a set of 2. Industrial Ornate Cast Iron Table Leg Set - Vintage
This a nice pair of vintage cast iron furniture legs purchased about 10-12 years ago from a salvage yard in the Berkeley/Oakland area in CA. The story is that they were a matched pair with marble tops. But the marble was gone when these were purchased. They are in very good condition, and would make a nice set of legs for new marble tops. Age and manufacturer are not available, as there are no cast-in markings. The table legs are 28-1/2" high. Each leg is 15" wide at the top and bottom. The legs are 27-1/2" apart. And are separated by a middle trussed spacer, which have two threaded studs on each end. The legs are held together by two nuts on each side, which hold the middle trussed spacer. These legs can be used to make either one large table, or two smaller matching tables. One stud broke off. And was replaced by drilling ... moreinto the end, and potting a threaded 5/16-18 threaded rod with epoxy into the drilled hole(see picture) Also please note that some of the threaded studs are bent, but are functional(see pictures) The legs weigh 21 pounds each. For a total of 42 pounds. Up for auction are four(4) cast iron furniture legs from the 1800's. These legs are 24" tall and about 16 pounds each. They have factory holes in the top for bolting to a table top. They are in great condition with no breaks or cracks. These were originally the legs from a milling machine from back when objects were much more ornate. Now they can be turned into a beautiful and valuable piece of custom furniture. I prefer local pick up(in New Rochelle. NY 10801, about 20 minutes west of Long Island) but if you really want them shipped, email me and maybe we can work something out by packaging the legs in individual boxes.
