Here is a nice set of Kenney Bros& Wolkins cast iron adjustable table legs. They would make a great coffee table. End table, or whatever else you can dream up for them. Great industrial look to them. Legs are in great shape with no cracks or repairs. Refer to the pictures for finish condition. There is light rust in places. They could be easily cleaned up and painted or left as is to really show their age. The legs are 11 and 3/4" wide at the base, and 7 and 1/2" wide at the top. There is a small metal'button' foot welded on the end of each leg. These legs are made differently than is typical. Which can be seen in the photos. This attachment system seems to be stronger/ sturdier. Also, it allows for the legs to be spread or squeezed slightly when attached to get a thinner or wider appearance. These have all been wire brushed. Rust primered, and sprayed with one coat of black enamel. The result is a nice clean finish. However, i may well have missed a few spots, and there will likely be dings from shipping, so anticipate a second coat of black. We have up for auction today a set of 4 M atching L arge Cast Iron Eagle Claw and Ball Bathtub Feet! They are in good condition, but not perfect. They are marked on back but we couldn't make it out so w e scraped some of the paint off on the back side and it looks like it reads 1874 not sure. see pic) They need a good cleaning and repainting. The lamp does work. Light switches on and off. Lamp can adjust and move to many positions. The table has a great older green paint around the tabletop edges. Table sits on a wood base. W/cast iron legs to hold it up. The table top is probably an old formica{ top that is ... moresat on a piece of wood. The top formica piece looks like it could be easily removed as it is already somewhat loose if one wanted to replace it or they could possibly reglue it. It is just a thin layer on a thicker piece of wood. You will see signs of paint loss and scratching to the table top as well as stains and dirt wear, formica top has stains, scratching, tiny holes from other items being attached at one time& and other possibble signs of age and use. Table width is 15 1/2" Length is 42 1/2" height is 40 1/2" from floor to top of table. The table legs are cast iron. They are painted black and you will notice some signs of age. Use and wear w/some scratching, possible paint loss, pitting, dirt that would be normal for a table such as this. This was a work table so please expect signs of use. Age and storage. These are very heavy duty.carrying an eight foot work top when found. They have a notch built in to hold a stretcher/ reinforcing board. The top piece has a built in 1.5" step up from front to back. As well as a brace for a backsplash. There are no maker's or foundry marks that I found. The rust is very light and much of it is'flash' rust caused by all the rain and moisture in the last weeks. No cracks were found. One small chip on one foot can be seen in photo 11. There is some reddish paint on the front of one leg. The height from the floor to the lower brace is 9" To the top of the front section is 30.5" to the top of the rear section is 31" to the top of ... morethe backsplash brace is 37" On the top, the front/lower section is 13.5" deep, and the rear/upper section is 15.5" deep. The usable space between the front and back legs, for a shelf for instance, is 15" The distance from the back of the splash brace to the front lip is 30.5" Distance between the outer edges of the front and back feet is 24" Each leg weighs just under 60 pounds. Set of 4 Victorian Cast Iron Table Legs/Vtg Sculpted Horse Leg/15" Tall/Original
Set of four Victorian cast iron legs. Sculpted in the shape of horse legs. Lovely antique set of table legs measuring approximately 15" tall. Each weighs over 3 lbs and has four notches on top to screw legs onto a table. Bench, ottoman, chair or any number of wonderful creations you can make with these legs. Took many of the photographs with the legs upside down, hopefully to show them off better. Much of the off white paint is missing and there is newsprint stuck to the upper flat side of legs. Where paint is missing it looks as though there may be slight surface rust. But running my hand over one leg, it did not get dirty with rust, so it may just be the metal's natural patina. This is a beautiful turn of the century matched pair of genuine Kenney Wolkins signed thick cast iron table legs. They are in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks and the black paint is in good condition with moderate paint loss. They adjust from 17.5" to 24.5" and are all original with large nut screw adjustments. Screws and slides all run smoothly and they lock down nice and tight. This is a very nice 2 tier or multi tier antique cast iron base that was made by Kenney Bros. Wolkins Inc. of Boston MA. It would make a great stand or end table and was originally part of an early school desk. It measures 29 1/2" high x 23" deep. The base is 11" wide x 16" deep, the bottom tier is 16 1/2" from the floor and is 9 1/2" in diameter, the upper tier is 29 1/2" from the floor and is 10" wide x 8 1/2" deep. Other than some surface rust it is in good condition. This auction is for one stand. It is available for pickup or can be shipped by Fed Ex ground. joe calcite INDUSTRIAL OAK& CAST IRON MACHINE LEGS STAND BASE This offering is for a set of cast iron sewing machine legs/ stand. BUT WITH A DIFFERENCE. I've seen the queen anne style legs, with the curve and'shoulder' part of the cast iron. In this case, the cast iron legs come with oak legs with a groove in the back to fit snugly over the iron and screw on from the rear. This gives you the option of using just the iron legs, or dressing them up with oak as your mood and decor dictate. To complete the transformation, I have included the trim pieces from the original upper cabinet so that the oak runs top to bottom. Unfortunately, the lower 5" of one is broken off, but placed on the side facing a wall or sofa, it would go unnoticed by most. Given the unique character, many wouldn't care. There are no cracks or breaks ... morein the iron. The paint was originally brown. But is now heavily worn with some light rust in places. The finish on the oak was dried out and flaking badly, so the rest of the finish was removed with a stiff brush and the exposed faces were clear coated. The wood itself is also worn. The legs measure 16" wide at the top, 13.5" wide at the bottom. Total height is 28" The stretcher is 23" wide, but can be replaced with a heavy threaded rod to place them closer together or further apart. Casters work but have a few flattened spots where its been dragged perpendicular to the wheels. Top of legs are 13-3/8" wide with 2 holes for mounting side brackets measure 12-1/4" x 5-1/2" Legs are in excellent condition no chips or cracks. Wheels turn freely, small amount of surface rust on one of legs that is really not ... morethat noticeable& certainly could be used as is Great unusual piece. Beautiful old ornate cast iron legs- not seen any this ornate before These legs are just like the Willcox& Gibbs legs except for not having the large W in the center. They are the same on the bottom& tops of legs very ornate feet just the center is different& they are unmarked. Not sure if these are older ones or manufacturer also made them for another company. In excellent condition no chips or cracks. They had surface rust& have been sanded& are ready to be primed& painted Wheels do not turn. Probably a spraying with WD40 would loosen them up will leave it up to new owner Legs measure just under 28" tall. 19-1/2" wide(one leg to another) 16-1/2" wide at base of legs& 12-3/8" across top of legs Even the center connecting bracket is ornate They are a nice sturdy set with each leg weighing 14 ... morelbs.
