This is a very nice pair of vintage steel adjustable legs. The height adjusts from 21 1/2" to 26" and they are 7" wide x 4" deep at the top and 12 1/4" wide at the bottom. They are in good condition with no breaks or repairs. Some minor surface rust. We also have a similar pair of smaller legs presently listed. 6 Antique Wood & Plastic Wheel Casters with Steel Stems for Furniture
Here are five casters that are alike in shape and size and one unlike the rest. The five all have wheels that are 1 1/4" diameter and stems that are 1 1/2" long. Three wheels are wood and and two are a vintage plastic like material. The last wheel is wood. 1" diameter, it has a hole instead of a stem. Light rust on steel and wood wheels look a little age but all still solid and functional. One of the plastic wheels has some nicks along the edge but still rolls solidly. Questions? Just ask! We are offering a large lot of 4 Antique wheels for furniture- mainly Porcelain. But also steel and Wood. There are 2 Matched sets of four 1 1/2" Porcelain wheels with inserts that are in good shape plus a number of other singles or pairs and parts. Porcelain is in good shape, metal has some rust. In addition to the 8 1 1/2" that pretty well match, there is ninth one plus 3 more wheels the same size with broken or missing brackets. There are 5 single complete Porcelain wheels in smaller sizes, one wooden wheel and 3 metal wheels and at least 14 metal inserts. Look at photos above and enlarge or zoom in order to see condition better than I can describe. Many pieces, i.e. sofas, take just two wheels with fixed legs in the back. The title I just wrote pained me. I do not know enough about old wheels to write a proper title. These wheels are so simple yet complicated I am sure there is an actual word for them. I did see some other ads on Ebay use the words"steampunk" and"furniture" in their titles. I do not care about punking any steam, and I do not think this style caster was used on furniture. so I will omit those choices from my title. just because it makes no sense. Almost all the ads for similar wheels by different sellers are using an identical title. This tells me that sometime in the past, a successful seller used those words and their wheels sold at a reasonable price. It appears many of the current sellers looked at that ad, and copied it. They did not think for themselves. They are cows. Do not buy from cows, unless it is milk related. ... moreI like the the word"industrial" though. Many sellers used the words"cast iron" To me, that is something like a skillet, or a bracket. Cast iron has a tendency to be brittle, so although I am not sure, I beleive these casters should be solid iron, with some components cast. Seems to me cast iron wheels would not hold up under the weight and the process of rolling heavy loads across a floor. But. what do I know.really? I have opinions, and most people do not want to hear them. Not even my dog. People who are"in the know" will laugh at my feeble attempt to describe them. I have to get the title in ballpark just so potential"buyers" can find the ad. for you. The reader of this ad, I thank you for finding it. So. describe I will. To the best that I can. First.
